Sgt Barnes was really out there at some point during the Viet Nam conflict you just know. I’ve been around and seen some things but the one thing that sticks out in my mind was Sgt Barnes US Army……He was what it took to lead soldiers into war and keep them alive and motivated to fight and survive to return home to their country and families.
@ I don't know, he seemed like he only valued the strong and if you weren't up to his standards then your cooked. Keep in mind these are damn near kids who never wanted to be here in the first place. Bro has no remorse for those types and will shout them into a box before leaving them for dead. He's good motivation for those strong ones who know what their doing mix whit a bit of blood lust. I too have served 14 months and would not want to be anywhere near barns. Can't lie I was pretty much babied the whole 14ms I did still saw my fair share of action and some wrong ass shit go down.
Wow imagine if they made Platoon 2, set in Afghanistan or Iraq and kept with the same theme of just focusing on the experiences of a lowly private and his platoon. Sadly we all know that even if they did make it, it would probably be awful lmao. Hollywood just doesn't make war movies like this anymore
