I loved watching King Kong Bundy wrestle; he was very talented for a big man. I got to meet him after a match, and he was so gracious and kind to me and my family. What I liked about him, when he came back to our town and saw me and my family in the front row, he did not break Kayfabe, but he winked and nodded his head at us leaving the ring. Think of all the people who he comes across and the fact he remembered us, was a very nice gesture from him. BTW my family and I always wore our Bund-a-mania shirts we had a friend make for us when he wrestled in our town. He loved seeing those shirts when we first met him. RIP Chris.
People drag Sean on Nash's podcast, but I think he's one of the best interviewers and best hosts ever. All of his shoot interviews are among the most entertaining and rewatchable, including this one.
Kevin Nash is actually very entertaining. Hes got a lot of fun stories. Hes also insufferable and the more he talks about his myopic views as he does, the more you realize that he really thinks he has all the right answers. Particularly annoying is how he creates himself as some sort of good samaritan helping out the locker room.

I met Bundy when I was a kid at a show at the Casino where I live......he was in the main event vs Tatanka(who I also met, great guy)......not sure on the year, but Bundy was so nice to me n my brother who was about 5 years old n scared shitless......but, great guy(RIP)
Me and my Cousin were sneaking around near the Backstage entrance and Bundy was sitting back in shadow’s watching a match that was going on, and he yelled “You kids get the F@ck outta here!” and ran us off. I’ll never forget that and that’s been about 40 years ago at the Cincinnati Coliseum….

I was 8-10 during Bundy's heyday and I always enjoyed when he was on. Acquiring his LJN wrestling figure took me a year. For whatever reason it just wasn't ever available at my department store. Talk about sweet, sweet glory the day my Aunt found it for me.
Bundy was a wrestler when my dad was a kid so he’s before my time, I only know of him from video games and old wrestling tapes. But I have to say he seems like a very genuine and down to Earth guy. He sounds truthful. I take his word over someone like Hogan.
He is 100% honest! He is a world class guy. He was a really amazing heel he was somebody u would see n he’d scare u to death! I remember being on the boardwalk as a 13-14 year old kid down in AC and a little girl fell on the boardwalk and I grabbed her hand and helped her up! She was a little younger than I was maybe a few years, n I felt this massive paw on the back of my shoulder. I turn around it was King Kong Bundy I almost shit myself as I only saw him as one of the most hated heels in wwf n he drew so much heat at the time. N it turns out he was the nicest guy u could ever meet! He was so thankful that I helped his kid n he handed me a $20 n said have fun kid as we were on the boardwalk at the jersey shore! I never got tired of telling that story to people 😂
U should watch some classic matches try the Saturday nights main event when he attacked Hogan and then check out the cage match’s they had in wrestle mania 2

I saw Bundy in Pennsylvania RIGHT before he went to NY, match against Dominic Denucci. We love Denucci in Pittsburgh, second only to Bruno around here. But as a kid, Bundy was the 1st monster that I ever saw...and I was an instant fan.
This interview is so awesome and one of my favorites. Bundy was one of the first larger than life heels that I can remember as a kid. I mean there was Andre, of course, but he didn't seem to be around nearly as much as Bundy. Andre made appearances whereas Bundy was a regular staple. Bundy really lived up to that larger-than-life heel role and he could be one scary dude to a kid.

I had the luck of running into him on the boardwalk- he was promoting a local show- and I got a picture with him and I was so excited, I said Wrestlemania *lll*, he corrected me, TWO!, and for the next 16 years I didn't forgive myself! Fortunately he was at a signing 16 years later and I was able to correct the record LOL Both times he was very nice and actually talked to me about wrestling. 🤘

That was when it was legitimately fun for everyone! Even families would sit n watch things like Hogan vs the Iron Sheik or Andre against everyone! I really miss those days
The best Andre Slam I ever saw was by Kamala on regular television Far deeper and more clean than Hogan's laboured slam at Wrestlemania Not to take away from Hogan. He'd just wrestled a whole match and was in front of a bigger crowd than ever previous. It was iconic But for a good old wrestling fan, Kamala did the best slam on Andre I ever seen Second best to Goldberg jackhammering The Giant, as far as truly impressive feats in wrestling are concerned

King kong in a way paved the road for the heavy guy made it okay for people to not have be shredded and in his own little way I believe he paved the way for the greatest big man who was the late bam bam so many guys said in there books or in interviews said same as bret heart that bam bam was best big man ever he could move like the shredded guy most of the time he moved better

Bundy was right about Macho Man. I know he went to jail in Lexington ky several times for doing dine and dash, running up a huge bill for drinks and food.
