WOW. I just found the home I want to grow old in. Fantastic. Not sure what I will do with a 3 car garage on an island, but it's only an island if you look at it from the water.

Probably just dandy. So to those of us who already live here it's not big thing. As compared to all those people who went running to Florida at the site of a snowball.
This island does not "overlook," New York City. That is hyperbolic real estate agent nonsense. It is a minimum one hour drive from the Connecticut mainland adjacent to the island to New York City. It's hard to sell something when prospective buyers discover that a prime feature is bull.
Yeh I live on Long Island. Actually closer to the City than this place and you can NOT see the city. This place 50 miles and a 2 hour drive to Manhattan. At least on Long IslandI we have the LIRR to get there.
Long Island Sound does not get too wild. That isn’t the ocean. We kept our boat in Norwalk when I was a kid. It is generally calm water but like any large body of water things can get bumpy.
On a very clear day, maybe you could make out the Bronx. Manhattan? Impossible. Three car garage? I didn't see a big ferry. Do you wait for the ice to drive across? Sounds better than it is. Living there would be a big inconvenience for most people. Maybe a writer or painter wouldn't mind.

The price is a bargain. Although, I don't think the 3 car garage will get much use.
LOL
Golf carts to get around island
This house and island is pretty outstanding, but, not practical to live in, unless you use it as a casual retreat.
you can drive on and off the island during the winter months... because..... water freezes!
@@lenudan you first, lol

This is Tavern Island Norwalk CT and was sold around 2 years ago for 9.9 Mio $ incl. a 3 /3 house on mainland with dock and garage
Thank you. I was wondering where that garage was.
wow...My dreamhouse itself. small island with only house with boat dock, private beach... COOOOOL
No, it doesn’t even come close to overlooking NYC. T his island sits off the coast of Connecticut in the Long Island Sound.
Did yourself and me proud as I'm in NYC! 😊❤
Yea, it’s only 35 minutes by helicopter…lol. Or three hours by car in summer traffic….😂😂

I'd convert it to an art studio.
I was thinkin, the same . . . 😬

Ferry?
Or it’s at the dock on the mainland

Maybe the 3 car garage is located in the town...
If this island is near Norwalk, NYC would be too far away to be considered part of the view.
Nice video and very informative and very entertaining and very satisfaction more videos.
Beautiful island home.
Caught me off guard when he said three car garage 😳
Yes I wondered why the cars too 🤣🤣
Just too look at )
Maybe there’s a car ferry service? Just a guess.
winter when u can drive on the frozen water lol who knows
can you drive on a small island?
MUST LOOK GREAT IN THE WINTER
Nothing looks great in winter.
The January winds must be a real treat.
Why would that be any different there than along the coast?
The owner probably is living in their Florida mansion at that time.

My brother used to live in Rowayton before moving to Florida, and you walk out of his house and see this island, it's beautiful!

Awesome property. Beautiful house with just enough privacy but still close enough to city life.👍👍👍
to me it doesnt make sense, the island is too small to have real privacy. and since you cant buy the water around it, i wouldnt feel safe at all.
