- Well, collectors! Here we are again!
In this 15th installment of the Hobby Journal, Tom covers his pool table in swords for your amusement. He's got the Carl Eickhorn Field Marshal series, some Police and SS degens, a whole lot of commentary, and of course a cigar.
The Field Marshall series of swords is actually called the Feldherrn Serie (Commander Series) but old collectors and their homebrew jargon die very, very hard.

Thank you Tom, for another great and informative video. I was hoping for a series on army swords and this did not disappoint.
There was a pile of swords that we couldn't get to without the video running for two hours, so there will most likely be more to come.

Don't forget about the blades! Are they stainless or legit high carbon? Had my eye on a few on your website. Just trying to narrow down which one.

Thank you very much Sir ! I learning again something new. Here in London they're selling so many fakes this SS Daggers and others . I do not know why people doing this . Its History and they're damage and doing just for money. I bought in the Country side some sword Eickhorn and some Daggers . They're good ,but you really have to be with open eyes . Take Care Sir ! Some years ago Eickhorn started again producing sabers, also WKC still produces sabers.
As an avid viewer & amateur collector (beginner) I'm following your channel since I discovered it a few months ago. I learned oh-so-much from these videos, a big THANK YOU for that, together with "WarStory military Antiques" my go-to youtube-channel these days. One question: I see here and there some interesting beer brands around you, Mr. Wittmann. Could you shortly give us an overview what you are enjoying there? And maybe a bit about your favourite cigar brands? That would be just interesting & wonderful.
Plus: I'd be delighted to translate anything from german (my mother tongue) into english, if you got something. Or help out with some kind of background information from over here, living my whole life in Niedersachsen & I got around a bit in our beautiful country. I'm sure you have your people for that, but maybe I can help anyway, I just feel the urge to give something back & maybe contribute to the hobby in general.

Sabers, having a similarity to british 1796 or prussian 1811 ,Blücher' are still produced in Germany. But they are only used by , Historical Town Guards' or in some regions the ,officers' of competion shooters societies.

It's a Tiger head on those swords not a panther
I always assumed they are lion heads, given that they have manes. I’m not sure why Tom calls them panthers.

Makes sense that the SS would have to earn the right to wear the "doppel siegrune" being as they were basically Templars & practitioners of the mysteries.
