I just installed a central locking system in my Skoda Fabia, and it was so helpful that you practically made a video on how to remove every single part of this car. Thank you!
hello ma friend i just want t ask y some things ..if you know better .. 1)i got problem with the locks ..its lock and unlocks by itself ..or its not lockin all the doors from the drivers door as it must doin ...so i lockin the 3 doors from the passengers door ..and the drivers door alone ... the lock mechanism needs change ?? or its something else ? 2)do y know if the front bumper of a skoda fabia vrs or rs 2004-6 model i think can fit to mine ?? i got a skoda fabia sedan 2002 model . 3)can i paint the interior plastic panels ?? i got the same color as y ..that light grey ..i want to paint them black or dark grey something like that . If i can what color should i use ??? thanks for your time ..hope you can help me .
1) If the door lock is old and never been changed then that is a good place to start, but have a look at the lock barrel in the door first as they can effect things by sticking as they don't get used much. take it out clean it up a nd put back. Also lots of other things effect the central locking like low power batteries/car/fob, damp weather and poor connections 2) I would think they do, but not seen it. The rear wouldn't fit on a combi as the bumper is longer. 3) Don't paint the interior it will wear off in my humble opinion, get a donnor car's panels, would be my advise, if you want the black.
Hello Harvey, I want to ask about my broblem that I have with rust right behin front wheels mudguard, there is a place where a dirrt and mud gets and it gets all mushy and soggy and it rusts there. I just found out about this place when I spot the rust outside of it. My question is how do i get a side front bumper down so I can clean the rust and put som spray over it. And one more question do you have a video of how to remove some rust it would realy help me. Here are the photos. ibb.co/7YWTcdw ibb.co/CsgWZKK ibb.co/87j232M ibb.co/fx7HmXv ibb.co/pwBK1d4 Also I just fond out about this problem becouse I bought out the car like 2 years ago and did not pay attention to these small spots of rust.
Nice photos. this area is the most common spot for fabia rust, mine too. Mine, believe it or not is as bad, if not worse, so I will have to do something about it too. you need to dry it out and what I do is wire brush all the rust away (with a wire drill brush), down to the bare metal, treat it with rust inhibiter, paint it with zinc base paint, then underseal on none visible parts. If you are unlucky and can punch holes in the metalwork then it will need welding as it is a structural part of the car. From the photos, you may just get away with painting it up. The plastic comes off after undoing all the bolts with the wheel off. I've left mine too - must do it soon! :-/
@@HatBoyHarvey I thin ktaht it would be a good idea to drop a front bper and the side bumper above the wheel too so you can get easy acces to all of the rust, becouse if you left a portion of rust that you can not acces there the fix is kinda ponitles becouse it will start rusting there and spread out. Also to prewent mud from getting there you could add some sealant like silicon betwen the plastic muddguard and that plece where debree gets so it would make a longer lasting fix. I look forward to fix this rust problem I will give you upadte but dont know when.
