I love seeing families ride together. My 18 year old son started riding last year and the time together is awesome. We both run Sena's and riding seems to be the time he breaks out and talks the most. Wind therapy.

I'm really enjoying the vlogs that feature your mom. She's inspiring me. I rode as a teenager but not since and I'm 46 now. Back in the day I rode and jumped dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, 3 wheelers and was fearless and a little stupid. Honestly, the closer I get to my MSP class I'm scared. I feel like I'm too old, my dyslexia has gotten worse as I've aged though not much. I just don't have the confidence I once did.
I'm 61 , Stacy, And I still ride my Bolt like I stole it and lean it in the corners that way too . Jess's mom is getting her "sea-legs "back , per se..... Won't be long, till they are riding in close-quarters!.... As for the MSF.... No Such Thing As Too Old ! Just ham up on your low speed turns and weaves..... You'll Ace it.!..... I still practice low speed techniques. Like coming to a crawling stop., Look left-right and then move through the stop, if safe, into the turn. ( legally, you're supposed to put a foot down before proceeding.... but this is low speed balance control practice, not running the stop sign practice , lol... just saying....So.... I know this post is 3 months aft of yours, I hope you made a shining display and are now riding your own ride too!

2nd weekend of Bike Week in Daytona cancelled (coronavirus). It was cold the 1st weekend (for us Floridians) but its been sunny and 80s since.
Last summer, my mom, 77 years young, purchased a spotless 2009 tri glide. She then took the class, got her M, and learned how to do it. TRUCKLOADS of anxiety and she needs seat time to get passed it. Mad respect for trying and she still likes to ride behind me. My riding is an adventure as well, i was injured March of 2019 (google "radial nerve injury), and i use a plastic palm rest to manipulate the throttle to get A to B. I sold my Road King and I'm fairly confident I'm not ready for 2 wheels with the injury

Kudo's to your Mom for the Tri-glide. Same sort of injury to left wrist here. Cracks back in to place.with a clenched fist and twist of wrist. When I get annoyed at it, I just twist it between the seat and my leg .else it seems to not affect my ride. Been that way now for about 8 yrs. I still ride, BTW. left side of left hand is always semi-numb, will be that way till I leave Earth.

Why to go Two Wheeled Mom... this is my 2nd season. I have 3 boys that all ride and it is so great to be able to be apart of this with them. Although they are probably tired of all my questions... But they have been great teachers in my journey. I'm looking forward to riding with them more this season.. I'm looking forward to seeing more of you and your Mom riding. Your a great teacher.

Good Times for SURE...
As long as your mother understands the principle of counter steering, and hones the skill of looking through the curve/corner. She will become a master of the art of motorcycling. Alot of people over think the curves (speed) instead of staying focused on the exit point. And that is why the majority of self imposed accidents happen... When reading your line, you will naturally adjust your speed; again, the key is staying FOCUSED on the EXIT!!!
Once you go modular, you'll NEVER go back....

Richard Mayer nice! The only problem with the 750 Shadows is that they are so comfortable and handle so well that people actually feel the need to “upgrade” because they believe it is just a starter bike. You can actually get a little bored because the ride is predictable and perfect.
I went from a 99 shadow to a sportster 1200, then a Road King and ultimately went back to a Shadow. I love Harley’s but I do all my own maintenance and repairs. Honda I can handle. Not a good enough mechanic to ride a Harley :-)

I have a set of Joe Rocket gloves with the touch tech. It's only in the index finger. I love them!!!! It takes some time to get use to them and they work better after you've broken in the gloves. That way they're molded to your hands and then after you've used them more, you'll get use to how to touch your phone to get it to work. Took a month or two, but now I can use them with no problem. Might take 2 times touching my phone but it's way easier than stopping and taking off my gloves. I have a winter(all leather) pair and just got my summer pair of gloves. They're mesh and leather. I'm loving my summer pair way more, but still working on breaking them in. We just got hit with snow again 😔😔😔😔😔 I'm so done with winter. I can't wait for full on summer, I want to ride constantly. I can't wait. Love your videos, I've been riding off and on since I was 9, now I'm 48. I took some time off once I had my son. But now that I'm looking towards retirement in a few years, this is what I want to do. Travel across the country on motorcycle. I bought a 2002 Honda Sabre VT1100C2 last year and I've been slowly adding everything I want to it, to make it my forever/retirement bike. Got a great deal on it, low miles and beautiful. Wish there were more women in my area to ride with, I'll look more into some groups online this summer. For now I'm just enjoying it when I can. Summer is almost here😁😁😁 thank you for your videos and encouraging words. #fanforlife always looking forward to your videos. Stay safe out there

I’m back riding after an 18yr break, I’m 52, I bought a 2010 Suzuki boulevard C50T and I still get nervous when I first start off but I love riding again
Good ride and good talk. I really like your windshield, now I can actually see where we are going as we ride with you. If you really like your old one that we can't see the road from, then by all means change it back. But if you do you may as well just use the camera on your bars and keep it pointed to you, as we can't see much of the ride when we can't see though the shield.

Wow, Your Mom rides too? So cool, I didn't know. Along with my 2 Harley's I also have a 2006 Shadow Spirit 1100 cc, totally stock and just Love it. It's a riot to ride, smooth as silk, very strong and even neutral is so easy to find. It's a great bike but pretty bare bones compared to your Moms bike. As much as I love it, bottom line it just isn't the weight, quality and sound of a Harley. Can't wait for you to get the Sena 20s intercom system to hear your Moms comments. Go camping together, please. Great Video.

Jess, I love your Mom’s Shadow. It’s good we’re going to get to see Mom in more videos. I went looking for a pair of gloves at my local Harley Dealership. I found a style I liked and asked if they had them in Men’s Small (I have small hands), the girl working handed me a pair of Women’s gloves. I asked if she was trying to be funny? I left and went to a place that sells Watson Gloves and walked out with 3 pair. I used one pair for when I was working.
I’m so with you, I wish I could have went to Daytona. I got to break the bike out a couple of weeks ago. I can’t wait for warmer days.
That dealership will be like 5 min from where I live once they move. I don’t know what I’m going to do to stay away lol.

Hello fellow Ohioan!!! Love your videos!!!! Thanks!!! I am a 56 year old woman and thinking of getting a bike of my own. Am I crazy??? I used to ride dirt bikes and three wheelers but that was 20-25 years ago. Rode with a friend last year and got the bug again, but I don't really want to depend on someone else to take me riding. Have my temps taking the riding course in May. Cannot wait. Would love both yours and your Mom's opinion. Keep riding and doing great videos baby girl!!!!

If you are seriously thinking about a modular helmet try an LS2 valiant currently there's also a valiant 2 which is an upgraded version I have one absolutely love it not going back to a normal full face helmet ever again!

Looks like you are near the "Triple Nickle" Route 555. Have you been there? I've heard it's really good. My wife and I use the sena comm systems. Can't ride without them now. lol I'm sure you and your mom would really like them.

Gloves, look at srk cycle, he has a TH-cam channel, they are made with Kevlar, and called moto1,. I know harley is high on there stuff but you can look these up... ..
