Great shooting bill!! I just got a trac toric 4-25x50 and able to dial 48mils!! Or in other words I’m able to dial my .25 out to 670 yards!! I couldn’t even imagine how far I could go with a coldshot lol!!! Anyways, great video 🍻
Thanks Jaylee that trac tonic looks great. The heritage arms cold shot has 144 mill way over kill lol. I was thinking of getting the tonic for my Fx Drs pro if it ever comes in. Let me know how you like it.
Great video! Is it possible if you can make a educational video on long range airgun shooting? on how to calculate ballistics and adjust the scope? If you can include incline shooting, it would be even better. Thanks a lot!
The problem is you have to take that 500 yards with all different slugs just like it would it 50 or 100 and find your slugs that group at that distance right now you’re over 12 turninch group. And I don’t think that that barrel saying that it has a choke on a slug barrel well ever shoot better, but maybe I’ll prove me wrong.
I’m no expert, but I shoot enough that I know shooting groups at 500 yards with an air rifle will never be very consistent. Just a one mile an hour wind can shift the slug 8 inches from the left to right a 3 inches up and down. And the reality is most days that anyone shoots there is a 2 to 3 mile an hour breeze, and you don’t even know it and that puts you at about a 10 to 12 inch group. I haven’t been shooting airguns for that long, maybe four years now, but I am absolutely amazed on how well they do. I’m gonna do a little work to my Texan as you said is still the king of my range.
Start with a quarter at 25 yards and start working that quarter out a bit farther and farther distances until you cannot hit that quarter anymore and that's as far as you can shoot.
Well done, Bill. But what's with you Americans always DRIVING to your targets.... Walk it dude, it's good for you! It's not like benchresting is terribly exhausting and/or physically tiring, get that butt moving!!

👍
Are you still using the stock regulator and hammer? Thanks.
No, it has the Huma extra high-pressure regulator with a 8 mm hammer
@@myairgunrange Have you noticed a significant difference? And do you keep the stock barrel liner?
Bill, can you share what's the weight and diameter of the slug you used in this video? Thank.
50 grain Avs .253

Thanks send me an email at myairgunrange@gmail.com
Would be interesting if you could show achievable penetration at various distances (in particular at 500 yds) in a future video
That sounds like a good idea
Awesome! Look forward to it
What caliber? Missed it
25 cal
Yes, 25 Cal

Ok thanks
Apparently you haven't watched this channel before? He has shot pop cans and eggs at 500 yards.
@@bcml8 you can break an egg just by shooting by it
You can see he hits the egg
@@bcml8 lol I know he hits the 🥚..........10 shot later

Thanks I know I’m getting lazy in my old age. It was tough for me to walk out there with my crutches, so I brought the mule to the range.
