Long range airgun set up to shoot a egg at 500 yards my Fx Panthera? No my 257 Texan!!

shooting out to five hundred yards with my Airguns.
 Scope mounts is the heritage arms cold shot with 144 mill elevation.
 Using 85 Grain Avs boatail slugs
 slugs traveling at 1010 ft./s with a ballistic coefficient of .214
196 foot pounds at the muzzle and 96 foot pounds at 500 yards
Ballistic app used is the StrelokPro
 scope is a 5 x 35 covenant 7
Rifle is a  256 Airforce Texan LSS completely stock
 air tank is an air Venturi with the Huma regulator set at 3000 psi

WOW , 8.2” with a spread of 10fps @ 500 yards is an eye opener , as to how critical it is to keep your spread as close as possible ! The speed on an air rifle is its Achilles heel at these distances .

I have to agree. I like to shoot long, and now I have the property to do it. You hear about and see a lot of shooters shooting long, but a good majority don't show their misses, nor do they explain about their rigs, ammo, or tools used. Very nice.

I'm a long distance airgun shooter just like you. .257 Texan LSS with a Cold Shot. A member on AGN invented this incredible tool named the "Absolute MOA Digital Conversion kit" If you have a Cold Shot and shoot very long distances, you got to check it out. I did, and love it.

.257 is a great shooter especially when one can shoot .30/.35 cal weight slugs thru it at higher velocity accurately 💪🏻
