Oh my gosh thank you so much. I was so furious I just smashed my actuator until the door opened. Now I can replace parts as necessary and get everything working again. Yay! Just smash the actuator lol.
I replace the regulator, all good no issue. Job was done. I close the door, but it will not open from outside or inside. Kinda feel like the child safety lock. Check the lock, it was stuck. Thanks to ur video, i was able to remove the panel from inside. Starting with the floor side panel, then seal, and with a little effort , popped it out jus enough to see the inside panel. Apparently when i install the lock cable back on, i didnt give it slack for it to physically move to the unlock position. Thank you big time. I was able to not having to remove the front passenger seat while doin this. Oh yea. I say thank you big time because this is my wifes car. Whhewwwwww!!!! LOL
Dude thanks for the hard work on your video had same problem with the Ford focus 2008 seems like it’s a common problem in the small cars come to find out all I had to do after watching you and this other guy do videos tearing up their car was to hold the handle up on the outside and fist bump the F out of it without Denting it and Wala the unlock popped up and I opened it then I WD-Ed The F out of the locking spot on the door. Yes it rusted up and the Fine mechanisms Froze up and bump and it made it come loose
I had a similar problem with the front driver side door. Similar process applies, remove the seat and rubber seal to give your self room to work and pop the inside panel, then carefully lift up and disconnect. Had to smash the actuator/latch assembly as well.
@@HazelxWaves Sounds like exactly what happened to mine. Same principal applies as to the back door, just take care, use plastic trim tools on the panels, disconnecting the wiring loom from behind the panel was a bit painful in my case. Take out the front seat to give yourself room to work on the inside. You'll need an impact screwdriver to finally remove the mechanism once the door is free. A good mechanic should be able to do the job, I did it myself as it was cheaper than what the mechanic was asking for, and they couldn't guarantee they would not damage the indoor panel which had a replacement cost of ~$700 (not including labour). Which to me said we'll just rip the whole panel out the quickest we can and you can pay for the whole lot. So for me the cost was looking like potentially ~$1000, ended up much cheaper doing it myself and buying some of those tools needed.
Wow the same thing happened to me, my driver side rear door and trunk don’t open. The trunk is pretty easy to replace from what I’ve seen, it’s about a 25 dollar part. Still trying to see how to replace driver side rear door.
@@Kalonsoldierfront well it’s the actuator that’s broken and if you replace it in the door the hatch should open. It’s glitching cause one door is still locked. Trouble is you need to be able to open the door to get at the screws to get the old actuator out. Only advice I’ve gotten so far that applies is to bash the hell out of it with a hammer but I’m scared I’ll do more damage
What screw driver brand are you using? My ph3 bits are bending. This is definitely not fun, but I did not have to remove my rear seats, so there is that.
Is there anyway to get it open without smashing the actuator?. My door is stuck right now and removed the interior panel but I can’t find a way to get the door open

The same thing happened to me in a Honda Civic of 8th generation got stuck. the passenger door does not open inside or outside I will have to break the actuator, the good thing that I already got the replacement. I struggled a lot to get the piece in my country
unless the actuator froze, then it wouldn't open. it would seem like, maybe something broke that connects to the actuator, that would not let it manually open, like a clip that connects to the rod. its rare that an actuator gets completely frozen in place. i wish you could have shown us the old parts
Hi Raul. Thanks for the comment. Yes it is extremely rare for actuator to freeze like that but I am sure it happens every once in a while. The old actuator was broken completely so I didn't show it in the video. But I guess it could have helped.
There are times when central lock doesn't open by hand that's why it takes some time before i can get out of the car..like it is stucked on the lock position it needs a lot of effort before it opens..what could be the solution to this? 2008 mazda 3 AT 1.6 Thanks.
Hi Hannah, Sorry that it didnt help you. Well the video is of Honda CRV and not for Mustang so it wont be helpful frame to frame. But you can still get the sense of general technique and try to do the same on Mustang. It basically shows you how you can access the actuator from inside the car by removing the door panel etc and since actuator is mostly made of plastic, how it can be broken. Hope your problem is resolved by now.

i have problem in driver side ...... its not opening from keys and remote... but from remote all remain door are opening...

My 2001 Honda odyssey driver side door is stuck closed. Something broken inside and I can’t access the interior of the door. I’m screwed
I have an IS250 and had to beat the actuator to death by stabbing it with a crowbar and hammer. Thank god the part is only 20$ to replace :)

Hi Legniak1, Very possible that the hatch problem is linked to your back door problem. Once you fix the back door problem, the hatch would work fine.
