- Sometimes you can't open your car door because the outside door handle is broken and needs replacement but if the outside and inside door handles won't open the door you have a very different problem that's more serious and more expensive to fix - If you'd like to know the problem and how to fix it yourself - watch on

Have got a jeep Cherokee 2015 drivers door will not open from both sides in and out it’s closed aswell please help me am getting in and out off the other side it’s a nightmare 🤬🤬
You need to get a slim Jim and try from outside or inside to get at the backside of the lock to unlock it - or get a locksmith - good luck and Cheers from Canada

You need to spray loads of WD40 towards the Latch from above and get a slim Jim / coat hanger and fiddle with the latch from inside as suggested in the video - good luck Quarth - Cheers from Canada!

I have a 2003 Wrangler Sport TJ, and have a “no fuse” alert. I am having trouble locating the IOD fuse. Any idea where it is, specifically. I cannot find it.

You have to use a slim Jim or other similar method to get access to the lock and latch
On 2010 Lincoln MKT front driver side door handle won't open (opens on inside handle). I've taken the panel off, but now what?
You need to look closely at the inside part of the door look - or better yet remove the door lock for close inspection - maybe rust is jamming it up
I have Buick regal grand sport and it will not open with key will not open at all

In my door I think the only issue is the cable, because both handles are loose. Or it's something else and feck me then.
the latch lever on the lock mechanism is rusted likely - not the cables - use slim jim
@@carquestions Yeah, you are probably right. I looked inside, and the cables work fine, I think it's the lock mechanism itself.

I live in Australia I have a 2006 VZ Holden commodore i had the same problem took it to a locksmith he open it with in a minute I would try a locksmith first rather than destroy the door.

Hi whereabouts in Australia are you? we have the same problem with our 2004 VZ Holden and took it to a auto electrician which we were advised by a locksmith and was charged $1400 and only lasted 6 weeks and back to being unable to open again. Did you take your car to just a locksmith or someone specialising in auto locks? We would appreciate your input as we are unsure as to who to take our car to get this problem sorted.

@carquestions i meant the internal lock a d screw placement.y⁷ýI ended up breaking all the plastic plugs pieces and pushing a small thing screw diver down the lock to release the lock. Luckily I bought a bag of replacement plugs when I did the speakers like a month ago.
Got a toyota solara. The door latch got stuck in the open position after being stuck locked shut. -11 degrees when all this happened.
I'd try a safe source of heat very near the latch - hair dryer, torch - not too close - Cheers from Canada!

2:40 @carquestions because I don't know the part, it's that piece between those 3 big screw holes on the metal part, in that long hole you could slide your finger In. I've been sitting in my car since I replied with heat on (just for me) but the door finally closed. That lock/latch/actuator. Whatever it should be called has moved. Huzzah!!

my 2018 Q50 Infiniti drivers door won't open because someone broke the lock, trying to break into my car. The dealer is giving me a runaround. Who would be the best person/expert to take this to?
