    By far the better of the videos I've seen, consistent, high volume, perfect for my plan and use of a ram pump for cattle in Mexico.

    Thanks, Joe. But let me notice, that your buffer tank should be mounted ahead of waste valve to increase the resulting pressure. In your current scheme you are loosing a part of power.

    I'm sure you know this already, you can buy a longer nut used to connect pieces of allthread. I like how you linked LTH in the description for prebuilt pumps. That is very classy.

    Wondering is adding a piece of pipe between the exhaust T and the exhaust check valve would build the pressure as well? Would that be the same as adding weight to the exhaust check valve, and if so, would a longer pipe create more pressure? Built one of these in 1-1/4 inch and have yet to use it. Nice video

    Build a bigger tank and put a tire inner tube in the tank with some air in it it will add air hammer effect in the tank. Maybe a well bladder tank would work.

    I think you need to measure the pressure at the same height as the input water level... Otherwise you're seeing gravity in addition to the pump.

    So this will maybe sound silly, but couldn't you attach a funnel type contraption around the waist valve to then carry said waist water to another holding tank of sorts just for collecting and or to have a second source for another smaller pump? (assuming you have enough left over fall Hight still)

  • @BobBob-il2ku

    Do you plan on selling just the waste valve individually? I think the market really needs something better than a swing check valve. Would love a comparison video when it’s complete

    • @JoeMalovich
      @JoeMalovich  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's what I've been thinking about, but I don't think I could make one smaller than 1.25", maybe 1".

    • @BobBob-il2ku
      @BobBob-il2ku ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just make 1” and 1-1/4” still way better than a swing check valve that wears out in a year. Currently there zero on the market

    Could you do an Arduino to control a servo motor to hold the valve down for a setable time? A little complex and would take some time and research but that would be really cool.

    • @Zorlig

      If you're using electronics... You'd just do hydro power and an electric pump

      An electromagnet might be easier to implement. One that releases on a pulse of electricity would be somewhat electrically efficient.

    I still don't see a water recycling unit in place, capture the waste valve and solar powered pump it back to the tank, as well as your outlet pipe (coming from a country that's just come out if a drought, seeing all that water going to "waste")
