Day 1 of the 2020 25002500RoadTrip! Columbus to Detroit to Bay City! From Lucore Automotive

- It's road trip time, and we can't be more excited to finally get this trip going! Originally we had planned on doing this year's 25002500RoadTrip in July however with everything going on at that time it just didn't seem right and while things aren't a WHOLE lot better now we felt it was high time to get on the road for our new great American Road Trip!
For those who aren't familiar with this adventure, a little quick back story. Last year we took 3 vehicles, all purchased for $2500 dollars or less on a 2500 mile journey from Columbus Ohio to Devil's Tower Wyoming and back across what was definitely some incredible American landscape. That roadtrip actually ended up being slightly more than the planned 2500 miles and we should have added a day or so on to the drive due to complications however THIS year we decided an all NEW Road Trip needed to happen and this time into the Great Lakes! Oh, and we're giving ourselves 2 extra days just in case something falls apart along the way.
So on our first day we leave the Columbus Ohio area and head north west across the state, making a quick stop at Coons Candys because everyone likes road snacks then up into Michigan. With a nice drive through downtown Detroit we roll on to Troy for an early dinner at Twin Peaks then a quick peek at Lake Huron before bedding down for the night in Bay City.
These videos ARE going to be a bit long and we will try to include all the views and adventures along the way, so hopefully you all enjoy our 2020 Road Trip! Stay tuned, every day will have its own video!

We just got back in town on Tuesday and couldn't hold this back, had to edit Day 1 real quick and get it out there! What an incredible journey, but it all begins... at the beginning. Hope you all enjoy coming along for the ride with us SO much more to come!

So were WE! Lots and LOTS of challenges this year just to get this thing started!
My advise would be put trailer hitches on each car, and tow bar brackets on the front of each car, that way if one breaks down, you can hook up a tow bar and drag it with you
We kicked that around a little bit honestly. On the first 25002500Roadtrip we had a Tahoe with us that was able to be the rescue vehicle on this one... no such luck. Realistically with the exception of the Crown Vic or maybe the Volvo none of the other cars could really have worked as a helper pull/push vehicle.
As we look at future trips like these down the line there will definitely be discussion about having a "rescue/support vehicle" along with us. Unlike what you see on the TV show versions of these trips it's really just us out there with no safety nets or crews!
