So apparently 7 anomalies have been recorded to come out of the pond, while later a total of 7 agents went in (along with whoever is recording in the logbook)....seems a tad coincidental.
Bro I didn't even think of that. That's crazy. So what do you think that they were some of the staff that got taken down there by force? Cuz remember that there is no record of that expedition happening..
Not 7, 18 and likely more, but you could onto something, as the file was corrupted and it cut out 7 of the creature. Chances are though, it's just a coincidence
If I had to make a educated guess it is likely that the creatures are based around each individual person's imaginations rather than specific fears or such.
Let us assume that these creatures are all based around the imaginations of experiences of different people, and would explain why the blood pool on one end produces a giant killer bat and bear like creature, but on another end produces a Eye-bot(was obviously meant to be a fallout reference as it shoots lasers and explodes on death), and a terminator.
The creatures were most likely based on the imagination of people throughout time who were dragged into or pulled into the pool, with the power of said creatures becoming more and more powerful based on imagination or inspiration, but also catches to how they work. For instance we know that the normal creatures can be killed with gunfire or napalm or use basic attacks such as biting or scratching, but then the terminator was indestructible but eventually powered itself down, not to mention the kraken (large tentacles) only really gone about pulling new people in.

I kind of hate that interview, yeah. It makes no sense that a foundation interviewer would be so phenomenally impatient with someone raising their voices while suffering from mental illness. It's not just the lack of sympathy, it's just downright dumb.

@@orthranus3352 That's... A fair point. I guess I just assumed that the SCP had a radius that it could effect, but nothing actually stated this to be the case. It could easily be able to effect every mind on the planet (though again, this is another one of those "but don't we have Thaumiel-class SCPs that hard counter that?" situation, but that's a weakness of a lot of SCPs due to the nature of the franchise and not exclusive to this one by any means).

I got omega goosebumps when it ended the expedition log and it said "there has never been a mission inside the pool". That messed with my head. The implications of that are fascinating.
Given that we know about other universes and their Foundations - maybe they did it and the logs came to the wrong Universe

The logs came through the wrong end and so did one of the members of the expedition team did too, but were killed immediately upon return. Perhaps that was the one member of the expedition that just vanished out of nowhere

This document was subject to alterations over the years, and having retained previous knowledge I'll leave it vague but point you in the right direction:
1.) 354-6's description is an important detail
2.) All the info needed to theorize where 354-6 came from is in the Description

I like to think the exploration team ended up on a giant space dog which would explain the roaring. The sudden change in compass polarity was simply because the dog moved. And the metal wall was actually the start of the doggy collar.
I’ve always thought this scp article is supremely unsatisfying and fairly disappointing, everything about the exploration log except describing the landscape, “we kept moving” and, “someone is dying” are cut out. Also the interviewer is unnecessarily hostile to the agent as to avoid actually writing something interesting as an incident

I like the idea that the pool is bigger on the other side, linking to multiple realities. The sub /drill sent its log back, but ended up sending it to the wrong reality.

yeah, i think the expedition did happen, in an alternative SPC foundation, and they arrived in a dimension who was dead because of the pool, therefor the walls and barren landscape, maybe they found the monsters that the pool made in that dimension, and going trought the pool is a roll of dice, sending you to a random reality with the pool

Outer Wilds is the closest game I think fits the cosmic horror and wonder of reality SCPs
There's is of course SCP Containment Breach, Classic and unity, but they are both in early-ish Beta. Also I don't think either of them will have this pool, since it is a self contained site. While the game is supposed to be alot of SCPs let loose in one huge containment site.

The interviewer was really dismissive of the pool having Will and capability, despite knowing dozens of similar SCPs that are inert objects with desire, will, intention, and invasive cognitive power. Dude the Mask exists and there’s the vorehole. Both are immobile objects usually without will or desire that can influence and direct people if not outright control them. The fact an SCP incident researcher is dismissive of traits belonging to a currently mostly unknown SCP that they don’t truly understand yet, despite similar situations occurring with them thinking they know all, only for the anomaly to pimpsmack them in their own house. The Foundation shouldn’t be dismissive of the potential of a pool that already leads to another place not like earth and births monsters when it wishes. Like, cmon SCP Foundation. You know better. It’s like the warhammer figure that later was revealed to be aware and sapient after being kept in a box as a mere object.
It could be written better. I think it was too easy to figure out, so a lot of details were removed, like about the Indian guy. Basically, the pool is potentially a omnipotent dimensional portal ... or it's just a pool with potent mind-altering effects that seeks to preserve its own existence. Or some combination of the two .... the monsters might not even be "real". I think the author was aiming for the latter, since the Indian guy is ... well let's just say he's already known to the foundation. Okay, my guess it he's Mr. Lie, which says a lot about the pool ... since Mr. Lie too has mind-altering effects, and is still alive.
As support for this hypothesis, it is a tad odd the objects the pool creates are so recognizable, like say the terminator. They also seem designed to frighten humans ... not a collection of random debris falling through a portal. Both the evacuation of the site, and the failed draining of the pool, shows that it has considerable mind-altering capabilities, and hints at a measure of sapience, if not true sentience. I would also point out that the pool survived a nuclear detonation which it itself caused and a sub, but is afraid of being drained ... something doesn't add up. The exploration log also hints at mind-altering effects, such as sounds with no apparent source, altered perceptions of distance, and the disappearance of a party member, a loyal and thoroughly spooked agent unlikely to wander off, in complete silence. The log also mentions a forgetfulness ... they almost didn't fuel the sub, odd, the Foundation runs a tight ship ... but it's not like there's a pool which would want to screw over the mission ... oh. That, and the weird disappearance of coffee. Finally, the monsters are able to manifest in the facility despite a solid concrete slab placed over the pool ... maybe the monsters can truly kill people, but they don't seem to have a tangible existence, which suggests they are projected, rather than "birthed"
All this, and the record ... it may indeed be from a different reality, as in an alternate universe SCP Foundation sent it, and it ended up in this universe ... but if so, the submarine would have been recovered. Even if that's not the case, the transcript wouldn't be a surprise to the Foundation, since they would have recovered it ... this suggests a level of reality or mind warping, as either the sub was recovered and both expunged from the record and forgotten about.
Or perhaps, given the interviewer's callous dismissal of the guy's concerns ... there is no way to stop the pool from killing all life on our planet. The expedition was either sent by the Foundation, or the sub from an alternate universe was recovered, but expunged from the document. Odd though ... I don't see why the exploration log, or the interview, would be part of the document at all if the Foundation wanted to cover up the pool's true nature.
Either the interviewer is aware of the true nature of the pool as a massive cognithazard, or is actively dismissing the possibility to set readers of the file, if not the subject, at ease, or confuse them. This is the bloody Foundation's database, after all ... expecting them to play nice with readers when they leave memetic kill agents all over the shop is not advised. Some authors play into this more than others.

Results of experiment SCP-354 B- When Dr. Bright approached it, the liquid within the pool turned blue, and entities emerging from the pool were friendly to Dr. Bright. Tentacles emerged from the pool seemed to wave around in an excited way. D class personnel were sent into the enclosure at this time, and the entities violently tore them to pieces. The tentacles dragged the bodies into the pool, which remained blue in color. After the event, the entities were observed returning to Dr. Bright, as though seeking his approval. Dr. Bright is no longer allowed to interact with SCP-354.

Bringing along scp 76 as a means of protection when exploring the pool was an interesting proposal. I understand why it was rejected but it could have been really cool.

Just imagine if giullermo del toro made a scp movie or resident evil movie both franchises are perfect for him so many scary and unique monsters.
Also for scary storys to tell in the dark the practical affects were amazing.
Especially the scarecrow he's my favorite.
He could capture the horror,mystery,survival and classic RE atmosphere that the Paul w.s. Anderson movies were missing.

Depending on the scp it would need a show or movies for example long reads like site 13 one of my personal favorite would need a show.
But it could be like the x-files where it covers each scp but all connected in some way.

This was the SCP that got me into SCP. It was one of those that painted a great picture, but left just enough of it covered up to let your imagination run wild with it.

I appreciate and admire the visual aesthetic and the effort you put in. It's not necessary, it's not needed for this type of content, but you do it anyway. I can tell your effort into the aesthetics of your presentation style is a self expression that you are passionate about. I think we have a lot in common on that. I love the way you had the Mission Log for day 9 come up at the same time he started saying it. I frequently have to stop myself reading ahead, and if you'd consider it I think that method of introducing further scroll is far better and should honestly be the standard.

So, the pool's a living, reality-bending entity. A very powerful one, to add.
The people that entered it were probably either "devoured", or just flat-out wiped from existence - removing the physical evidence of the log.
Maybe the log was even placed in their database BY it?
I'm guessing he meant "transforming" when he mentioned that the guy "crossed", or maybe he returned to the area with black grass, as if attracted by something inside - something dangerous enough to result in termination.
Very interested in what'll happen next. I always love how the format of these videos is, too.
The Red Pool's definitely an entertaining entry, given that it's a wildcard in nature.
