There are so many games that could fit between 2 others I do consider the theory about Link's marrying Malon after Majora's Mask absolutely canon. There's no way it's not. I'm on the verge on finishing all Zelda games (I'm doing Zelda 2, then I'll have to do both Oracle and I'll be done), please keep on making Zelda stuff, I eat this raw
Yeah, when I first saw the title, I was all... is he implying that there's only _one_ missing Zelda game? Either the first, or among the first missing ones was revealed in Wind Waker. We know _why_ it's missing, and that's because there was no Link. Nintendo doesn't want to "waste" resources on a game where you possibly play as Daphnes, only for the game to end with you freezing everything in place. Then like you said, the one where Link marries Malon and eventually becomes the Hero's Shade (spoiler warning), though he needn't die by game's end. The final, post-credits scene could be him donning the iconic armor (intact) and waving goodbye to a visibly pregnant Malon, and then we can just imply the rest. Then, just because the rule of threes is a thing, and also so we have an example from each timeline, how about a sequel to ALBW which also acts as a prequel to Zelda II? It could be another out-of-the-box genre changer for the series, because in this one, Link is charged with hiding the Triforce of Courage. He has to battle all these temples as usual, but then he has to train his own guards, like Horsehead and Rebonack to guard those shrine things, and (spoiler warning) he becomes the old man at the end of Zelda II. IDK, I'm just spitballing here, just because you could doesn't mean you should... not _everything_ needs to be explained.
Theorizer really be filling in the gaps here! I would dispute the idea that only Tetra's crew settled the land, though. I think they found the land, returned to the 'windwaker archeplego', and recruited/solicited the peoples there to come with them. (Seems like a pretty good deal to me if I lived on windfall island) Also, yeahy, Chancellor Cole totally had Tetra or her daughter killed off screen. The zelda in spirit tracks we see is way too young for her mother to not be around unless she died prematurely. I wish I could go on, but its really hard to just talk through youtube.
I think it's a pretty solid bet to say that Tetra is this Zelda's grandmother, based on a conversation that Anjean has with her about how she entrusted the flute to Tetra under the condition that her kingdom protects the land, to which Zelda responds by reminiscing about how *her grandmother* used to play the flute for her and how she had no idea it was that important. The way this is phrased leaves it a bit open to interpretation, but I think there are 2 potential takeaways: 1, that Tetra is this Zelda's grandmother, and 2, that Zelda's mother died while she was young, and she was raised by Grandma Tetra before her untimely death. Logistically, this is entirely possible. Niko is still alive during the events of Spirit Tracks, and though he was young when he was serving as a member of Tetra's crew, it really could have only been by a few years. Tetra could have believably survived even up to the time that the story takes place, but she is absent. Also, one would think that Tetra would have passed down the flute to her daughter, the acting Princess of New Hyrule, upon her ascension to the throne, but again, this isn't the case, Zelda recalls her grandmother playing the flute for her (which, at the risk of reading to deep into it, one would imagine a mother would do for her young daughter, which may imply that Zelda's mother was out of the picture at this point). All this to say, I think that Zelda's mother died first, possibly assassinated, and Tetra stepped up to raise Zelda and run the kingdom, before she, too, was killed, leaving Zelda by herself. And of course, being a child and prepared for the responsibility of running a kingdom, they would need some one to act as an advisor and chancellor to help Zelda rule until she was old enough, so in comes Cole. I'm not sure whether Cole would have already been a figure at the castle that was chosen to be promoted to Chancellor, or if he just showed up one day and offered to take the position, but whatever the case, it all lines up that he would have been the one to kill Zelda's mother and grandmother to create a power vacuum that he could fill and use Zelda as a figurehead while he continues his plot in the background

As someone who played Spirit Tracks, and being one of my favorite Zelda titles of all time, thanks you for making this!
Spoilers for the Phantom Hourglass but it needs to be stated the Ocean God and the whole realm of Phantom Hourglass pulls a Links Awakening, so it's a bit far fetched to believe that replica of the ocean temple was made by the ocean god when said ocean god technically does not exist on this side of the boundary.
Though at the beginning of Phantom Hourglass, Gonzo says the waters they're entering are protected by the Ocean King (or something like that) which means he's not just some dream and maybe like the Wind Fish actually exists in their world
I have never played those games. I didnt know they were any good. This lore is wild. Especially in context to the rest of the series. How does it all connect?
Connection wise, ‘New Hyrule’ is another continent across the ocean from Hyrule. They did use to have trade with Hyrule at one point (one of the treasure items in Spirit tracks is an Amulet coin which bares the Triforce on it), but that presumably ended when Hyrule flooded. Malladas was another Demon King like Demise, going after the spirits of good in ‘New Hyrule’ rather than Hylia. His body gets destroyed and spirit sealed beneath the land, with his right hand man Cole left to try and find a way to break him out (like what Ghirahim did). No safe place to put Malladas’s soul after release though, so he had to wait for a suitable vessel. Several thousand years pass, the old Kingdom of ‘New Hyrule’ eventually dissolves leaving some human locals and the Lokomo. Hyrule floods and the Hyrule Gorons move in to fire land after being exiled, more time passes, Tetra and co arrive in the new lands, start to settle, the Anouki from the isle of Frost get brought over to live in snow land, giving the Yook the island. Cole sees that Tetra has the potential for a perfect vessel for Malladas, but she’s too strong to try and overpower and stuff (maybe she and WW Link even beat him up). Tetra’s child has her mother’s protection so they’re a no go. ST Zelda though dosnt have her grandmother to protect, and her own parents either die somehow or are away, so perfect time for Cole to pose as the chancellor and work his way in to extract the vessel for his Lord. So yeah. It’s the end point of the adult timeline, in the other timelines Malladas is still sealed away, Cole cannot find a suitable vessel for him to inhabit. Put quotations about new Hyrule since we don’t actually know the name of the land, that’s just what it’s been nicknamed by the community.
@@Tilda_the_mage Great theory. It's just that ST-Zelda is not the grandchild of Tetra but the great-great-grandchild of Tetra. Hyrule Historia page 133 in the english version.
@@Mr_Fragezeichen Fairly sure I remember her being the granddaughter. Theres only been around 100 years between PH and ST, you can find Niko in ST and his a very elderly man. Would say his like 110 ish. Think Anjean also refers to Tetra as Zelda’s grandmother. Would also be in line with Linebeck the third existing, with his grandfather being the original Linebeck. Guys like 25 and ST Zelda + Link are about 12-14.
@@Tilda_the_mage There is a website called Archive, where you can view Hyrule Historia in full as a PDF. On the centre right of page 133 there is a short text about Princess Zelda and how exactly she is related to Tetra.
@@Tilda_the_mage 100 years is a long time. The average human generation is 25 years. If Tetra was a young adult like Link in WW, then she'd be a full fledged adult in little over a decade, so only 2 generations passing for ST Zelda to be her granddaughter would basically require both her and her daughter to give birth at around the age of 50-60.

I LIKE THIS IDEA!!! Spirit Tracks is in my top 5 Zelda games and I think this idea would be a really good way to get that game actually into the public eye.
I'd personally be more interested in a game that fills in the gap between Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. Getting to see how the Hero of Time became The Hero's Shade and the end of his story. It is peculiar though that a series with a focus on the TRIforce always comes in sets of 2. Legend of Zelda / adventure of Link Oracle of ages / Oracle of seasons A Link to the past / A Link between worlds Links Awakening / echoes of wisdom Ocarina of Time / Majora's mask The Wind Waker / Phantom hourglass Breath of the Wild / tears of the Kingdom
I'd like to see the bridging game be split between two games or game modes: a city-builder, told from Tetra's perspective, and a side-quest game told from Link's perspective (or hell, maybe flip it so Tetra is the adventurer & Link is the city-builder).
I don’t think it was ONLY the pirates who came to the new Hyrule. I think they went back to the great sea and told people of the discovery. Then people came on their own will to live on the new continent.
I thought it was the game theory so I search at the game theory channel after seeing the notification but it turns out to be the theorizer??? I didn't know you covers games too
Great theory, always nice to see something on ST. As for the canyon between the snow area and the lava area, you can see on the old map from Ferrus that it's been there for a very long time. Also, I think the demon curse only affects one individual at a time, which is why I think Malladus was only affected by the curse after Bellum's death.
@@keithtorgersen9664 Right, we don't know, that's why I have a theory. I think that the realm of the Sea King is in a pocket dimension/space distortion, which is why time moves faster then it does in Hyrule. I think this time difference is also the reason why Bellum was able to gain so much power in the time between his downfall and that of Ganondorf.
I literally just finished phantom hourglass for the idk what time and i was thinking this same thing! I havent watched the video as of writing this but i was thinking there could be a plot about bellum being the evil in new hyrule which becomes malladus. The phantoms changing from creations of bellum to guardians of the tower has always been strange to me. Ive been creating my own theory but i think theres an interesting and probable story there. Also thank you for releasing content on these games. I have been starved
I'd like to point out the "spirits" are translated from 神 "god". Plural is never specified in the original japanese but it could have been implied(it's really not). It's left ambiguous. Same thing happens in Twilight Princess when talking about what banished the Twili in the Shadow World. We westerners assumed it was the Goddesses but 女神"Goddess" is never used in that context only a generic 神"god possibly plural?". The 神 of Spirit Tracks is even depicted as one "wave" in the legends indicating it's more likely a single entity. What posseses the phantoms are "souls of monsters" 魔物の魂. So some kind of demonic ghosts. The Demons living and being summoned from in a Dark World has been established since Zelda 2 The Adventure of Link, we're told in the manual more of Ganon's minions are being summoned from the underworld. We are told more about the Dark Realm in Oracle games with the 2 main antagonists being summoned from it and Ganon's soul being trapped here before his resurrection. The sages in Ocarina of Time seal Ganon in "the evil realm" or "below the realm of the dead" and he resurfaces from a crack in the Earth in The Wind Waker's backstory, the same "crack in the Earth" we are told Demise and his troops emerged from. It's not a literal fissure in the Earth but more likely something we saw in the upcoming Echoes of Wisdom. Dimensional cracks. We might see more of the Dark Realm, that realm of void where demons are said to nest by Anjean and we fight the Demon Train in. Demons are just that, creatures of Darkness. They clashed against the 神 for the dominion of the land and lost. Malladus was stripped of his physical form and his soul trapped in the Tower locked by the energy provided by the Force Gems in each temples sourcing their power from the land connected by the sacred tracks like wires. The 神 used both personally the Train we use and the Light Bow. So trains could predate the Lokomo engine chairs since their master(s) used trains. Anjean told us that. Malladus' fight against the 神 took place long before Tetra and her crew arrived. Byrne is said to be over 100 years and is still considered a trainee meaning the other old Lokomos are multiple centuries old perhaps millennias and they've been keeping up with the tower seal ever since. Malladus has no direct relation to Ganon tho. He is another Demon King(not a "dai"maou-*great demon king*tho just "maou") that had his eyes on something and clashed with divine entity(ies). Cole is a demon supremacist that has been plotting for his resurection tho his age is unclear. The stations aren't created by the Force gems, they are reconnecting the tracks those gems create. They were likely meant to be prior the events of the game to reward the Hero for restoring peace. It's unclear if your existence was expected since there is no clear phrophecy but you could argue since the god/s could not destroy Malladus' soul they'd expected hip to eventually break free and needed someone to face him when he would. That someone being the Hero. The seas/world of the Ocean King are not too far from the land of the Lokomo. The temple replica could have been built long ago by Cobble settlers to continue worshiping their deity oversea when their Kingdom was in full power. We know the Anoukis came directly from those seas so it's not that farfetched to think these places had multiples instances of contact.
I really like this theory, another thing in favour of it is that the book Hyrule Historia explicitly stated that the Tower of the Gods (literal translation from the German version) and the tracks were already there before the arrival of Tetra and Link.
I dont think it's dimensional, Ganon was sealed deep underground in a physical sense in one timeline, so it's probably the same for this villain. Much like how the video explains.
I can actually see the Locomo coming into the picture AFTER Link cleansed the land as more of.. "oh yeah see that guy" points to giant F off demon "kinda our fault.. doing great work keep it up... by the way those magic lines all over the place can help us seal him away draw them out at each temple to prepare the seal just keep helping out and we cam make a big lock using the lines a chains. Should last forever ( 100 years) great plan right and you can rule this land after too.
I never really believed the war against Malladus took place between Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. That would imply Link couldn't kill Malladus despite having done so to Bellum and defeated Ganondorf, who is only actually killed when Link has an overpowered item, he had a botched resurrection or he just wasn't killed by Link. Malladus is easily the weakest main villain of the games besides maybe Nightmare, neither of which require a special weapon to defeat (yes, you had the Lokomo Sword, but all it really is is your regular blade with a permanent Tears of Light boost, which doesn't even do that much to Phantoms so who cares), and the only other villain besides Ganon who had to be sealed was Vaati in Four Swords, but given what we know of the Four Sword from Four Swords Adventures, it was likely not strong enough to kill him at that point, and they didn't have the Master Sword, so all they could do was re-seal him. You might think three great evils would be a bit too much for these heroes, but the Oracle games would beg to differ, even of you consider that Link separate from the one from A Link to the Past, having him kill Onox, Veran and Ganon, which would about equal sealing Ganondorf and killing Bellum and Malladus, which leads me to believe the war happened long before Tetra and crew even got there, which is backed up by Anjean implying at the end of the game that the Lokomos were only in New Hyrule to guard the seal over Malladus, which would clash with her meeting Tetra when the pirate first arrived at that land.
A reconstruction of an unseen adventure? This seems interesting. I hope you'll do this for other eras like the Calamity 10,000 years ago. Most I can figure is that the Ancient Hero was likely a Mogma and the Eighth Heroine, and the Divine Beasts were likely named after the Sages from TotK's past. Maybe the four Champions are either Incarnations of the BotW champions, or incarnations the Divine Beasts and Sages' names are derived from? If the latter, I think the Ruto described in the history carvings in the Zora region in BotW was the original pilot of Vah Ruta, not the Ruto from Ocarina of Time.
Nintendo should release that game along with remastered versions of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Can you imagine a pack of all 4 games? -Wind Waker -Phantom Hourglass -_the in-between game_ -Spirit Tracks Now that would be amazing
you could also do this to what happened between past & between wotlds or finally make the 3rd game linked to ages & seasons or a game showing the events of what happened to the hero of time before he became a stalfos in his adult years
I find it awfully poetic that the core of Malladus is a gigantic rupee because it's the same thing that assisted Bellum in corrupting and eventually possessing Linebeck in Phantom Hourglass!

Games like these are why I wish Nintendo never focused on a single console. The hardware limitations combined with the unique features on the DS allowed for so many unique games from our favorite IPs. I always loved the specific mechanics to these games even if they weren’t perfect. That isn’t even mentioning the extremely underrated side quests. The gem upgrades in Phantom Hourglass were fun to do and the buffs felt rewarding.
Why did I watch this on my birthday? Now I want this! The toon games (PH, ST, and then WW) were my first Zelda games. I named my cat Link! He died last year... I still can't move on from it or even remember he is dead some of the time. I now have an odd relationship with TLOZ. Literally, if I have not played in a while I just cry. I think... A remake of PH/ST or a game that is inbetween them (Like this suggests) ... That would make me love Zelda again! I'm sure of it! PH is my fave and first TLOZ game! And I want a WW styled remake! This will never happen XD I know it wont.. So it's something I have tried teaching myself wont happen.. But if it ever happened....!!! Also Link's (The cats) B day was 10 days before my own.. That's what I mean by why did I watch it on my b day? My b day is no longer special, and I honestly don't like every "happy birthday" message I get cos I wish I could just......... Delete my birthday. TLOZ means so much to me, and that cat meant and still does mean so much to me. This is a series I hold SO dear to my heart. A game where WW/PH Link defeats Malludus.... Yeah I wouldn't be okay (In a good way) I'd lose it! I would scream for joy SO loud, that like, I'd get complaints from every neighbour XD Nintendo needs to do this!
If Nintendo did a remake of these titles or a new game in the WindWaker engine and style I'd love then even more. If they won't then Ima just make a similar project. Either way we'll be getting that.

We know that they like to migrate, which is proven in Tears of the Kingdom (Sidon's wife) and it may just be that they left New Hyrule to migrate again
In fact, there are Zoras in both PH and ST DS games, the zora Warriors.

Yesssss! I never thought we'd get a Zelda theory from The Theorizer! Looking forward to more!
spirit tracks was my first zelda game
Phantom Hourglass was the first video game, period, that I EVER played
mort
@@TheTheorizer Phantom Hourglass was my first game too
You started off with an underrated gem.
Meanwhile, I started with the most overrated zelda/video game in history.
You're all making me feel so old. My first Zelda game was _The_ Legend of Zelda. 1987. 👴
Throwing this in my big fat zelda playlist. 🤌
I got super excited when he was telling Linebeck's story-
There are so many games that could fit between 2 others
I do consider the theory about Link's marrying Malon after Majora's Mask absolutely canon.
This was great! I'd definitely be down for the Phantom Hourglass side of it, too
Theorizer really be filling in the gaps here! I would dispute the idea that only Tetra's crew settled the land, though. I think they found the land, returned to the 'windwaker archeplego', and recruited/solicited the peoples there to come with them. (Seems like a pretty good deal to me if I lived on windfall island)
Also, yeahy, Chancellor Cole totally had Tetra or her daughter killed off screen.
I'm not sure whether Cole would have already been a figure at the castle that was chosen to be promoted to Chancellor, or if he just showed up one day and offered to take the position, but whatever the case, it all lines up that he would have been the one to kill Zelda's mother and grandmother to create a power vacuum that he could fill and use Zelda as a figurehead while he continues his plot in the background
the editing effects & tone as soon as the theory is explained is so “i did a thing”

But... It works ;) Good job!
In windwaker the islands you explore are actually the top of Hyrule's mountains but at the end of the game the king wishes for all of Hyrule to flood finishing the job wouldn't that in turn sink the islands that are rooted to Hyrule? I could be overthinking tbh
The islands should be unchanged, at least Link's home island is unchanged, which can be seen in the credits.
He flooded Hyrule that was underwater but protected. If he flooded the islands he would've caused mass genocide for every race.
Pretty sure the sea level wouldn't change leaving the Islands alone. Hyrule was more like a air pocket that was filled.
Global warming is a bitch innit?
I'm so glad that someone finally made a theory about the 2 games
Your videos bright up my day, man! I'm super excited!!!
This... this is a masterpiece.
Haven played this game, I knew some of the stuff you said in the first half of the vid, but it was the second half that you went deeper. I'm amazed just how much thought you put in this, and how there is so much that happened in that 100 year gap.
I'm with ya on the game thing. I would also LOVE to play this out in a game, seeing everything all come full circle in this Sequel and Prequel.
Though at the beginning of Phantom Hourglass, Gonzo says the waters they're entering are protected by the Ocean King (or something like that) which means he's not just some dream and maybe like the Wind Fish actually exists in their world
love seeing some content for spirit tracks and phantom hourglass. Definitely overlooked games by some. thanks for the video
It’s crazy how I always find these videos that I love like days after they come out, normally I’m years late to these types of videos, feels good to be new-ish to a vid

Thank you for this Theorizer.
A video out of nowhere is a noble thing to do
He's been teasing this
I LIKE THIS IDEA!!!
Legend of Zelda / adventure of Link
Oracle of ages / Oracle of seasons
A Link to the past / A Link between worlds
Links Awakening / echoes of wisdom
Ocarina of Time / Majora's mask
The Wind Waker / Phantom hourglass
Breath of the Wild / tears of the Kingdom
I’ve see your comments on all these game soundtracks, exquisite taste 🤌
THANK YOU I MISS THESE GAMES SO MUCH
this was nice, i'd love to see more vids like this one
This feels like the ramblings of a mad oracle and you know what he could be right
I'd like to see the bridging game be split between two games or game modes: a city-builder, told from Tetra's perspective, and a side-quest game told from Link's perspective (or hell, maybe flip it so Tetra is the adventurer & Link is the city-builder).
I can't wait for the next vid!
The usage of mystery dungeon music in the background is incredibly based. My compliments to the editor!
I am the editor lol
I don’t think it was ONLY the pirates who came to the new Hyrule. I think they went back to the great sea and told people of the discovery. Then people came on their own will to live on the new continent.
My favourite TH-camr covering my favourite game series, let’s GO
I thought it was the game theory so I search at the game theory channel after seeing the notification but it turns out to be the theorizer??? I didn't know you covers games too
Great theory, always nice to see something on ST. As for the canyon between the snow area and the lava area, you can see on the old map from Ferrus that it's been there for a very long time. Also, I think the demon curse only affects one individual at a time, which is why I think Malladus was only affected by the curse after Bellum's death.
We don't know if the Ocean King's domain is actually in the physical world of Hyrule or if it is part of another dimension.
Any therorizer video is a good video. Even if it’s about something different.
Using chains as train tracks is a horrible idea.
This was probably intended, as the spirits created and utilised the first train.
2:41 That OST... I did NOT expect mystery dungeon, you sir have a fine taste.
You haven’t seen the older videos have you?
@@infinityheart_tm9270 not really, no.
Much like how the video explains.
explorers music finally getting use in video essays, thanks Theo Riser
I too hope this missing game comes into existence. It would be nice to see what Malladus originally looked like when he had his own physical form

I love TotK, but its insane they didnt take the opportunity to go back to WW's timeline and have you discover the new land.
This was a 10/10 vid
Interesting Video.
So cool
Better than gamer theory
I need more nintendo based video games theories from the craziest theorist on youtube.
Nintendo should release that game along with remastered versions of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.
Can you imagine a pack of all 4 games?

its so nice to see you back man! how you doin bro
I would also love to see more Zelda games with plot connective elements between games!
you could also do this to what happened between past & between wotlds or finally make the 3rd game linked to ages & seasons or a game showing the events of what happened to the hero of time before he became a stalfos in his adult years
It honestly would be cool to play through a scenario where you *place* the treasures in those stations.
This would be good timing for a WW sequel, nostalgia for it should begin to peak soon
Love this fella
I find it awfully poetic that the core of Malladus is a gigantic rupee because it's the same thing that assisted Bellum in corrupting and eventually possessing Linebeck in Phantom Hourglass!
8:36, *looks at Skyward Sword and Majora's Mask* HMMMMMMMMMM
Edit: I wish they would make a game between MM and TP so I can lear how something managed to kill the Hero of Time.
Hello yes there’s something like that around here. May I tell you about the existence of MajorLink’s “A Hero’s Purpose” which sets out to show exactly what you described, albeit not in a game format.
Zelda theory? Don't mind if I do
Another interesting detail is that Malladus might be named after LNER Class A4 4468 Mallard. It even looks like him.
I'd love if you did more video game stuff
Honestly, there’s a ton of places in between Zelda games that would be interesting for a future game. A game between Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess would be amazing
*The Wheelchair People*
I mean... yeah, I guess that is what they are.
No I mean that’s how the pirates “saw them” and chose to make mobile steam units (trains) inspired BY the wheelchair devices
oh he's got the spirit of a true zelda theorist: insane.
I loved the DS zelda games so much as a kid. Beat phantom hourglass like 20 times but tracks only once
11:30 feels like a Dee Ess island call back but I don’t know what that would mean from an ingame lore perspective as I think the ocean kings realm was another dimension or something. Maybe it wasn’t. I don’t know.
Once I seen it was the Thoerizer the video was already playing.
I am just now realizing that Wind Waker has the hero destroying Hyrule, while Ganondorf was the one trying to save it wtf
I loved this
Yahoo! The crazy’s back🎉
Why did I watch this on my birthday?
Yes I want more
If Nintendo did a remake of these titles or a new game in the WindWaker engine and style I'd love then even more. If they won't then Ima just make a similar project. Either way we'll be getting that.
Cool
