    As a Romanian and a fan of FCSB, you covering this made me so so happy, and also in the romanian news, the way they presented it, that moment wasn't just happenstance, they saw FC Mitdjiland doing the same thing in other games from the kick off, and planned it, its why two players ran at the GK.

    Fcsb's only loss to rangers was due to half of their starters being injured or suspended or not available(one of the starters was at home burrying his father). They played a winger and two APs in fm terms as a midfield and rangers looked really bad. They also got a goal disallowed wrongfully in the second minute. Ref whistled before the ball went in the net so var couldnt intervene. Solid performance in the EL so far.

      I thought so too at the time regarding the goal but iirc there was a replay angle that seemed to show the GK managed to put his leg in front of the ball and it wasn’t Miculescu (our player) that touched it, in the post game interview he said he did. If he did that was a fair goal, if he didn’t that s a foul. Either way there should have been VAR. And you are confusing the starting lineup with the one against Midtjylland (even then Sut is a lot more of a defensive player, BWM maybe?), against Rangers we played a 4231 with Baba Alhassan (Anchor Man? Regular DM? Half Back? Idk, not much of a tactics guy) and Edjouma (Segundo Volante? Idk, he was terrible regardless and a large reason for the loss even though others are obviously to blame as well) as DMs and 3 wingers (or whatever Miculescu is, then again he just had a massively rare amazing game so I can’t say that at this point). There was also some voluntary rotation (CB Mihai Popescu for LB Radunovic, Pantea for Cretu) as we aren’t doing that well in the league (6th before this matchday but in a tight table, with a match in hand and we always start slowly in the league and pick up pace later) and we had a derby against Rapid upcoming that we never win lately. Predictably, we drew anyway

    Just a note for those unaware, FCSB are the privately owned FC Steaua Bucharest, who split off from the nationally owned CSA Steaua Bucharest sports club in 1998 or so while the rest of the sports teams remained public.
    It's all very complicated but they've been in conflict with the original one since around 2011 and were forced to rename themselves FCSB in 2017 because the CSA reinstated the football team.
    UEFA attributes all previous titles, including the European Cup win in 1986, to FCSB as well.

    Also FCSB are actually a phoenix club for Steauea Bucuresti (nailed that spelling I’m sure), the only Romanian team to win the Champions League. That’s a crazy story in and of itself. It was in the ‘80s and their goalkeeper made something like four saves in the penalty shootout to help them beat Barcelona. He even got to lift the trophy for the team in honor of his heroics.

    • @edi0157
      @edi0157 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Not really a phoenix club as that implies we went bankrupt which we didn’t (unlike loads of other Romanian clubs), we were forced to be privatised by a 1998 law that barred state owned clubs from being in the first tier but then the army (OG Steaua Bucuresti owner. Close spelling lol, you just added an extra “e” at the end. Technically it s Steaua București but even us natives don’t really use the diacritics when writing online) got angry and claimed they never sold the Steaua brand so they sued us and we lost the rights to all history before 2003 so far (1998-2003 we were a nonprofit organisation rather than a share based company so that got wiped too). However, UEFA still considers FCSB to be the 1986 winners as for a long time they hadn’t even been notified of all the ongoing trials in Romania (because they weren’t fully settled and they still aren’t to this day). The army has rebuilt a new club in the 4th tier in 2017 which has the rights to the old logo and name of the team, it is called CSA (“Clubul Sportiv al Armatei”, Army Sports Club) Steaua Bucuresti. It now plays in the second tier from which it can’t promote due to the same law that started the privatisation in the first place. Similar split identity situations in Romanian football include the two Universitatea Craiovas (CSU vs FCU, in that case the argument is indeed over who is the rightful successor of the OG Craiova that went bankrupt in 2013) as well as the 3 Dinamos (one, first tier FC Dinamo 1948 has the sporting continuity just like FCSB and also the rights to the name and badge leased, the second is the third tier CS Dinamo owned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (original Dinamo owner), the third is the third tier ACS FC Dinamo, a team created by one of Dinamo s former private investors that somehow got the rights to the name and badge for himself (yes, he is the one that s leasing it to the first tier Dinamo)). At least the 3 Dinamos are relatively civil with one another, the state owned club having hinted at a future reunification multiple times unlike CSA Steaua vs FCSB which is way more virulent and bigger as obviously there is a CL title in the argument along with the size of the fanbase (that s massive for Dinamo too, Steaua and Dinamo ARE the two biggest clubs in the country) and the personal rivalries involved.

      @@Storecton You re right, I thought CSU Craiova won the rights to 1991-2011 (first exclusion)/2014 (definitive bankruptcy) too but it turns out that s not the case, the argument is over the moment the club got privatised in just like with Steaua even if Mititelu s privatised club later did go bankrupt. Why do we have all of these fights damn it?

    • @Storecton
      @Storecton 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@edi0157 I also think is one but it finished some years ago, it was for the Politehnica Timisoara. Now I'm not sure for another one because either it was a clone or the two clubs indeed made a trade for their stuffs, and I'm talking about the CSM Resita with Catalin Rufa's team

    • @edi0157
      @edi0157 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Storecton Yea, Politehnica Timisoara was a whole thing too. The OG team went bankrupt and the town hall decided to move ACS Recas from a different town into Timisoara and call it ACS Politehnica Timisoara American franchise-style (the name is leased from the Polytechnic University of Timisoara, not to be confused with the one in Bucharest of the same name), they went back up to the first tier (from 2nd), then they should have been relegated but because Rapid went bankrupt themselves they weren’t, then they got into debt so hard that they got a 14 points penalty, STILL survived relegation and then finally got relegated on H2H. Where they met….ASU (later SSU) Politehnica Timisoara, a phoenix club set up by the fans that started in the 5th tier. Then got relegated again, twice in a row and eventually went bankrupt in 2021, leaving SSU as the only club representing the old Poli so they got an agreement with the university to use the brand from then on. They are now in the 3rd tier and have former GK Costel Pantilimon as director.
      As for Resita, I didn’t even know this one lol. It seems that the OG CSM Resita somehow managed to go bankrupt twice in 4 years between 2004-2008 (holy hell lads), got refounded, meanwhile Rufa, the owner of CSM Ramnicu Valcea (which is two counties away from Resita, 334 km according to Google though it is a bit of roundabout road path) exchanged his club for a newly (2007, this took place in 2013) founded Damila Maciuca so became the owner of that club and instantly moved it to Resita, renaming it CS Metalul Resita. At this point, FCM Resita also existed as a phoenix club but it lost town hall funding in favour of Metalul. That only lasted for two years though as relations cooled between Metalul and the town hall so they moved AGAIN, to Snagov. Where is Snagov? On the infamous for its interminable traffic every weekend DN1 road between Ploiesti and Bucharest (Bucharest dwellers spending their weekend at the mountains have to go through this road leading to huge traffic), a mere 572 km by road from Resita. Oh, and for a little while the current Rapid owner Victor Angelescu also invested there apparently. They actually lasted until 2019 when Rufa gave up the club but then went bankrupt half a season later. As for FCM, it got back its funding, renamed to CSM Scolar Resita and later CSM Resita and exists to this day, they are now 3rd in Liga 2 but idk if they actually have the promotion right due to that privatisation law. Wild story ngl, think this one takes the cake

    Ahahaha, as a FCSB fan I was waiting for you to do a video on this lol, you didn’t even speak about the rest of the match nevermind the other results. I will now add some further points you might be interested in as there is more too!
    1. “Why have I never heard of FCSB before?”-Well, this was an expertly avoided subject by Zealand lol but you should have if you followed European competitions for the past few years as we have been competing under this name for a while. It s all very complicated but basically we are the former Steaua that got privatised away from the army due to a 1998 law barring state-owned teams from competing in the first tier and then years later the army claimed they never sold the Steaua brand, it all went to court and the trials are still ongoing but we have lost the rights to the name and badge as well as any titles earned before 2003 (from 1998-2003 we were a non profit association rather than a share based company so 1 title, 1 cup and 1 supercup belong to the former association which no longer exists so literally no one). The army has created a new club in the 4th tier that quickly made it to the second one but is now stuck there due to the same law that forced the initial privatisation in the first place. UEFA still considers us the successor to the historical team. Yep, it s a mess and not even the only case of split identity in Romania (see the two Universitatea Craiovas, the 3 Dinamos…).
    2. There s a video of Romanian FIFA youtuber Theo going to this match and my man was still talking about the halftime subs when he suddenly realised a ball was heading towards the net for the 2-0 lmao, it was glorious.
    3. For the past two matches and a half we have been without our captain Olaru (CM) which is the main force of the team as he got a stupid red vs PAOK (first one was for a foul and/or complaining to the ref afterwards, the second one was for GRABBING THE BALL IN ORDER TO GAIN A FOUL. Not even the first stupid red he got this season, he also raised his leg wayyy too far and put his leg through the back of someone in order to “play for the ball” in a league game (he had no chance). Idk what is up with him this season, maybe thought he was about to leave or something but no one will buy him when he does stuff like this) and got injured after that.
    4. In fact, we keep getting injuries which understandably lead the opposition coach to think we were timewasting. We played a midfield 3 with a single defensive player (Sut), a CAM (Tanase) and a winger (Baluta), the last two with barely any physical presence. We HAD more defensive options that would later come on but one of them was terrible vs Rangers (Edjouma) so they weren’t picked. Tanase pulled up with a muscle injury in the 7th minute. He still scored A FREE KICK GOAL (deflected by the wall, but still) before getting subbed off in the 30th minute. His replacement in the match (Baba Alhassan), turns out, is also injured and will be out for 5 weeks. Injuries and some stupid rotation ahead of a league derby against Rapid (we never win those anyway, might as well have rotated then. We drew 1-1) is also why we got spanked vs Rangers. Well, that, a controversial 2nd minute goal chalked off that wasn’t checked by VAR due to the ref blowing too early and Edjouma dropping a proper 1/10 performance.
    5. Thanks Hoffenheim for not giving up after going down in 90+3 to Lyon and getting a 90+7 draw so we can keep being in the top 8 lol.
    6. The pressing routine was planned, our guys said in the post match interview they studied Midtjylland s kick offs as they have tried this in their league as well. Also, the goalscorer Birligea especially has that in him ever since he arrived two months ago. As for the other dude (Miculescu), well, I am amazed he finally had a great game and we paid 1.7 million euros for him lol. He was dribbling around destroying his opponents this match though tbf to him, fair play!
    Anyway, yeah, we have done amazingly so far even if we were definitely lucky in some regards. I thought we were going to get the 9-10 points that seem to be necessary for top 24 and even that some people thought was a bit optimistic. Well, we already have 9. That the objective done, if we can push further that s great but I won’t be mad if we can’t. Our next games are Olympiakos (H, 50-50 tie imo), Hoffenheim (A, will be difficult even if they are struggling domestically), Qarabag (A, technically we should be the favourites but they have had some very impressive results lately) and United at home (why did you have to sack Ten Hag lads, I am actually scared now). By the time United comes we will have probably gotten top 24 mathematically which would be massive, can’t wait for that game especially but also the rest of them, let Olympiakos come if they dare!

    You're really telegraphing this play to the opponent if the entire squad is on the halfcourt line at kickoff. Also The goalkeeper is standing way too high up the field for this play to work. If you have to stand halfway up your own half to be able to hit off a long range kick, then this play is probably not meant for you.

    I pray that one day Danish clubs will live up to their potential in Europe but yet again another season of poor performances.

    Thank you for making a video about my favorite team...they also don t name now anymore Steaua Bucharest...ist only just FCSB because they went to justice and lose in front of the army who has now a football team with the name of Steaua stuck in 2nd league for the last 3 years because they don t have the right to go up...you can make a video about it...its a joke what is going on

    Didn't count on the gunner eh?
    It's an American football term for those unfamiliar. If that guy keeps that up, the NFL might want to talk to him about that speed.

      @@hmp01 I know that technically he is allowed to comment on it but this is an automated system handling reviews don’t forget and 3 strikes leads to the whole channel being terminated so I get why he is cautious. I followed it fine (then again I watched the match live on TV as I support FCSB) but yeah, he could at least leave a link to the play in the comments
