Thanks for demoing the Karin markers Karen. I have some of them already and I love them. I use them like a Posca pen with a flexible nib. I did lots of research before buying them but didn't regret it and will add to my stash. They are not refillable, as you say in the video but iI think on their website you can buy them as open stock so if you run out of a favourite colour it isn't a disaster. Their watercolour markers are excellent too and their gel pens are super juicy. I got mine from the website as I'm in Europe, postage was better that way than on Amazon and also some of the reviews on Amazon mentioned dried out pens. I felt going direct to the manufacture in this case was better. Hope you continue to like them as much as I do, they are a great brand. Thanks😻
I’d love your hamburger pdf please. Karen, have you tried Tooli markers? I would love to know if they play well with Poscas, as the color range is great. 😊
No!! And also oooooooh - I've never heard of them, off to Google!! Those just look like straight up Posca's to me? Here's the PDF! awesomeartschool.lpages.co/mm-hamburger/
SO yes and no. Theoretically they do, but the ink doesn't flow out as steadily as they do in a paint pen so they're not as reliable. And the white is not very opaque either. So they fill a need for the kind of mixed media work that I like to do with adding shading OVER my sealed acryilcs but I wouldn't substitute these for my paint markers. They're just not as hardy or opaque enough to qualify them for an equivalent swap out!
@ you may have already reviewed this, I have been gone for a while but if you use posca pens over mod mode podge do they do the same, like smudge if done quickly and also come off with wet wipe of on top of sealer?
I wasn't impressed with these. They had great colors but reminded me of tempera paint feel. They are similar , to me, acrylic markers. I prefer the Pitt's. I can see uses for these and if I were not a Art Supply Addict I would probably not buy more of them. lol. Thanks for your perspective of these.
@@KarenCampbellArtist They remind me of eggshell tempera paints from the 'old days'. Like a weird combo of acrylic paint markers with an ink feel. The colors are great though. I have the Karin Brush Marker Pro too. I rarely use them but vowed I would not buy anymore art supplies until I used some of what I have.(And I have an immense collection lol). However I probably will not keep that vow!
@@KarenCampbellArtist I have exactly one of these deco pens, and usually shaking it helps get it going again. I do think it's kind of more like an acrylic paint pen.
So happy to see this! Thank you! I bought these today and then found your video.
That's so bananas!!! Good timing!
wow this is incredible!!! 🥰
Thanks so much!

@tcarlson762 no. Not nicely like these do. Just the Pitt pens and Staedtler (tho they are pretty wimpy compared to Pitt).
@@KarenCampbellArtist thank you!!

Yes I much prefer to Pitts too!!
They’re like a weird hybrid I can’t make sense of 😂

Did you manage to figure out what happened with that white, or how to fix it?! 😳
@@veystone2580 yeah that was super disappointing!!! Yes I switched back to my Pitt Pen white! Had no choice 🤷♀️
@KarenCampbellArtist Wow! I hope that doesn't happen to any of the others!!!
