Traore getting an assist on his second debut really is that "return to Catalunya magic" we eluded to.😂 3/4 Jan signings with a goal contribution! So far so good.
Here's how I'm looking at Adama and Auba. Adama is there to give Barca a decent option off the bench. As unproductive as he might be, Adama is still an upgrade on Abde and Jutgla. Defensively, he is a better option than Dembele. Barca have often time found themselves holding on to 1 goal leads and their fullback areas are a big weakness whenever they have to absorb pressure, subbing on Adama to help the RB defend gives more solidity whilst also giving the added benefit of a tireless runner to provide the out ball. As for Auba, like you put it, he is quite simply an upgrade on De Jong. With Fati out, and Memphis recovering form, I'd expect Auba, Ferran, Memphis, Adama and Dembele will share the front 3 positions
How is Adama as a wingback defending though?. Can imagine most of us seen him trying to rampage forward (effectively at times) but with little to no end product but as a wingback he needs to defend as well.
Auba is a big risk he is an influence on young players and his mentality is outrageously unprofessional. Dembele learned from him and look at him poor diet, not enough fitness didnt help his injuries and mentality. Dont think it was a good idea singing him. Hes just too much of a wildcard
Xavi is basically doing what Arteta did at Arsenal. Tried to do juega de posicion, saw the players aren't suitable, changed to a short term approach, with a long term objective of returning to positional play.
They just beat Athletico Madrid 4-2 and played the last 30mins with 10 men... I'd say they're not as stupid as people may have first thought with these signings... They've simply added some proper pace into the team.
As a Culer, I think this window overall went well given the circumstances. The two biggest problems we had with the wage bill, Coutinho and Umtiti, were handled (but not resolved), which I have to commend Mateu Alemany for. Namely because this allowed for new players to be signed and actually registered. I believe Ferran Torres was a great signing, he's one of the best talents this generation of Spanish football has to offer, but I have to admit that we did overpay, especially when you consider that City made a huge profit. He's a player we should've signed from Valencia instead of buying him for a premium later, which is a mistake I hope we can avoid in the future with players like Villarreal's Pau Torres for example. However, given that City aren't a selling club and had no need to get rid of him, overpaying was always going to be likely. You made a great point about Auba being an upgrade from the likes of Braithwaite and Luuk De Jong, which is how a lot of cules feel about his signing. If we can recover a version of Auba that even comes close to his Dortmund days, I think it'll be a big help and at least a net positive. As for Dani Alves - I mean, the man still has it! It says a lot that he immediately benched Sergiño Dest, and he's a Brazil international at 38 years of age 😂. Don't get me wrong, he wouldn't start over the likes of Joao Cancelo or Trent Alexander Arnold, but even in the final years of his career he still adds a lot to that right flank. However we do need to figure out the fullback situation sooner rather than later. My picks would be Gaya or Grimaldo, and possibly a Pedro Porro for that RB spot. Adama is a guy that can some physicality and pace/dribbling ability (which does a lot to help Barcelona's system, particularly in stretching the opponent's defensive line) but I'm not overly enthusiastic about his signing. Maybe he can fill in at RB, who knows.
With regards to Torres, he was relatively expensive considering our finances, but we also got a player who now has been coached by two of the best managers in the world. He comes into Barcelona already prepared for what Xavi will ask of him. His football intelligence is better now than when he was at Valencia. You can say that’s also what we got for the premium price we paid.
Kessie can be a good addition for summer along with contract renewals being priority, instead of chasing haaland, defense needs to be improved upon, sadly it's been neglected for years
This transfer window feels strange in so many ways. If there’s a club that can make these transfers work, it might actually be Barca (especially in terms of Traore)
@@wayneverhoff9928 I feel you are not knowledgeable enough because Griezmann pjanic transfers were done by bartemou board and not laporta. And if you see , Barca plays differently now exploiting pace down the flanks
@@hridayfcb Barcelona has always used their left flank. Their formula is still open to Alba who will look for someone in the edge of the box, but the pass is often intercepted which is the reason Barcelona suffer, that same flank that Alba pushes up at. Pique slides across to block a cut inside and a goal is conceded, Barcelona is suffering due to lack of backline. Bartomeu was signing offensive players, they didn't work and the defense was lacking, people have been asking for defensive players but they don't get any. No Alba replacement for a decade in case he picks up an injury, no right back post Dani Alves who was more a midfielder and Pique will never get benched and that makes his quality football drop form because no one is competing against him for a starting spot.
@@wayneverhoff9928 Barca always used speed to stretch out defenses under Pep and under Lucho. Pedro was the pacey outlet for Pep and Neymar/Alba for Lucho. Adama might not have great numbers at wolves but if Luuk de Jong can improve under Xavi, then Adama can too.
Would Barca have signed such players if they didn't have the financial constraint? No, but they do and with that in mind they have signed decent players to make sure they finish in the top 4 in the league to qualify for champions league (how badly have we fallen😢) and then sell a couple of them such as Depay, Braithwaite, and maybe even Auba to afford some big names in summer Anyway, great video!
I remember how Barca Fanboiiis called one all sorts of names whenever one pointed out that Barca will implode the next couple of years. Now it imploded.
@@DaroriDerEinzige two different things... Barça's implosion (as you implied) is because of reckless spending by the previous board while Barça's current form is part lifecycle that happens with every club after their golden players retire. But just like any cycle there are highs after every lows and that's what Xavi is working on with our youth players.
You are really delusional if you think you can sell those 3 players. Depay and Auba earn top salary since they came to the club without a transfer fee. Same counts for Braithwaite his salary is way above his performance. So there is no reason for them to leave the club since there wont be a other club that will pay their current salary.
My issue ends up being no pick up in the defense. Like I get that they’ll probably use adama at RWB at times but tagliafico or another center back would of been ideal. If they’re strategy is to just out score opponents then I guess they can try that
Gotta think of it like this. Barcelona Defense is it’s possession. Remember Pep achieved heights with a very bad defense. He won the 2011 final with a midfielder as a cb. Pique was the only true cb and Abidal was past his prime as a LB and hadn’t played in months.
@@canvas11xD First off the defense that Pep used in the 2011 final was nowhere near bad. While Mascherano was a cdm, he was very strong defensively and had already been playing in the cb position throughout the season due to Puyol's injury (Mascherano eventually went on to play exclusively in the cb position and won the Champions League again in the cb role). You forgot to mention Dani Alves who at the time was at his prime and was one of the best rbs in the world and while yes Abidal was past his prime, he did consistently put in performances and was also strong defensively. Secondly, Barca don't the calibre of midfielders like Iniesta, Xavi and Busquets (currently way past his prime) anymore, so keeping possession as masterfully as those three did would be almost impossible with this current Barca and so they need to focus on their defense (which is their biggest weakness right now) in order to compensate.
I feel they had an amazing window. They reinforced the squad all while getting a player with a lot of potential, two short term signings that yes, may not fit the right plan of Xavi, but they are still a boost in dynamic in the squad. And possible cracks
You guys have completely lost the point of these signings. Dani alves’s signing was a way to have more leadership and to boost the morale in the dressing room. He’s also has had decent performances so far he’s played for Barca. Ferran Torres was a brilliant signing. He’s a starter in the national team and has had the complete backing of a Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique. Adama’s signing was a simple loan. Ansu picked up an injury and they need more depth on the wings. He’s better than Abde and Ilias. Aubamayang’s signing was more of Xavi begging for a number 9 because that’s what his system requires. He may have had a bad run at arsenal but let’s not forget the player he is. Overall, these signings were made to save their season. They know the direction they’re trying to take.
@@RabonaTV that’s true I made this comment before I watched the video 😂. But you got to understand that Adama and Aubameyang aren’t long term signings they’re short. They’re main objective is to reach top 4 and win the Europa league. Also I made the comment because of what I heard in the unsackable podcast.
Adama is very clearly short term, Aubameyang's is murky. Technically until 2025 with an option to terminate in June of 2023 if both parties agree. It's an interesting one as I could see it go either way - all depends on how soon Xavi's long-term vision for the club is realized I guess.
Pretty disappointed with Aubameyang signing, rest all are good if not great, the amount of effort Matheu Almenany and Jaon Laporta has put in behind the scenes, just hats off to them and their entire team
Watch the current barcelona u will know why adama and Aubameyin transfer made sense. Barcelona don't keep possession well when playing against high pressure teams because they don't have players with pace running behind and who can finish chances and hold onto the ball. There are no better ball carrier then Adama in world football with his kind of pace. U know he spent his academic yrs in Barcelona, so playing Barcelona style of football is like going back to his roots.
Oh cmon, they are much stronger, 3 months ago they only had Depay, L d Jong and a few kids, with Fati being injured, and Dembele also being injured, now they have a much strong ofensive line with Ferran, Auba, Depay, Fati, Traore and Jong, they can even put Dembele there if they so choose.
@@darthplagueis8886 No one is doubting their attacking, possession football is the best kind of attacking football but these players all mostly depend on pace aside from De Jong and Torres. The rest need space to do damage and space is not something Barcelona's style brings to the table, so they underperform.
@@MaxpowerAF7 they have to change and adapt, they no longer have Xavi, Iniesta or Messi, the coach has to adapt to his players, not the other way around. In November Barça only had Depay, now they have Depay, Ferran, Auba, Traore and Fati seems to be fit. This atttack, those players, can do damage to any team.
Stacking the frontline with anyone and everyone you can pick for free (and mosty crap) is the not the way to rebuild Barça. Aubameyang over Morata? Really? Morata offers much much more and would have been a smart move to have him pair upfront with Ferran. Auba is a finished striker. Traore? Meme material And you have like 10 other forwards and Xavi will need another few months to figure his ideal front 3. I feel Laporta is desperately trying to flex Barça's pull in the transfermarket is all what he aimed for here.
Hey Adrian you should do a video about the Canadian national team with their recent success with the World Cup qualifiers and how they were able to get to this point in time
In my opinion this was not a good transfer window. it’s like they are getting whoever they can , instead of getting someone they want. Understandably it is Barcelona, they must contend, but it’s a rebuilding phase, i’m not expecting much. Seems forced.
I think they were looking to rebuild with Xavi but there hasn't been significant improvement under him and Barca are set to lose a lot of money if they don't qualify for Champion's League. So now there's a lot of pressure to make top 4 so I agree that these signings are forced, because they need to achieve that in the short term.
Kinda felt that, apart from Torres, they were 100% taking what they could, dani Alves feels like he is just there to be a assistant player manager but he has impressed and i feel he wants to help, Adama is wierd, i feel like he can be the guy to be in the top 30 on the ballon dor, however, this will only happen if his shooting finally gets good, and i don't see that, auba is a gamble, the problem is that he has had a ton of personal issues, if he gets over this barca has a damn good player
The fact that a club with their debt can make 1 purchase alone is a win. They shouldn’t have been able to make any signings- free transfers or not. Right now anything helps this team compared to the team we saw in early December
its not bad, good work was done, but i wouldn't fear getting drawn against them with the squad as it is right now. A lot of clubs will still fancy their chances. I think Auba will realise his opportunity and be a model pro IF he gets games early and scores some goals he could see out the rest of his european career there. If he's bench warming then tension will happen but this move should be real motivation for him. I hope for Traore to succeed, but think he'll be back in England in a year or so - he needs to improve his end product too much to be a regular for them. Alves is Barca through and through, was one of the very best in his prime, and is mates with Xavi so can help spy/get message across to other players. Torres is good, so yeah probably do well for them.
They brought in a young unproven prospect, a bodybuilder and an underperforming problem child in Aubameyang whom Arsenal is paying to leave. I think they should have focused on improving their defensive line instead of going all in on attack.
uuuu what torres isnt unproven hes played very well for valencia and mac city and plus im pretty sure hes got like 2 goals in 5 apps for barca right now wtf are you on about
Brother you are talking as like they have money to spend on transfers. Barcelona don’t need to panic buy on defenders they don’t need to buy defenders for only a couple of season they need a defender that is going to turn this team into a championship worthy team which they are going to do next season this season we only need to focus on top 4 which is mandatory if you are going to bring in world class players.
Not mine, he was fantastic I his first 3 seasons (20+ goals back to back, golden boot and scored 5 goals in finals v City, Chelsea and Liverpool) and I’ll cherish it, but ever since he’s been on 350k he’s been woeful. He was never technically good, nor was his pace advantage useful in the prem, but the team played so much better when Laca (who’s nothing special) played up top instead of him.
@@ratheranime1982 The obsession with wages is dumb. Barca and Madrid have been paying more than that for years. It's what big clubs pay. You are not getting the amount taken out of your pocket. Ignoring the stupid wages obsession, Arsenal failed to score enough goals in January without Auba. So he was never the problem. It is the system.
Strange window tbh but excited for these signings. Alves will always be loved by us Barca fans & his class is permanent Torres has potential to be one of the best in the world Adama end product might be his weakest point but imagine him breaking through defenses such as Atletico with his dribbling & get the ball in the final third Auba is taking this personal, he wants to prove something to Arteta
The fact that both traore and aubamayang took a massive paycut to join barca tells alot about the incredible work mateu alemany has done, traore to me seems like a free hit, traore is on loan and only 15k a week, he clearly wants to win at barca (unlike dembele) and has the pace and power to be a menace and maybe playing for a top team with alot of possession is what hell need to go to that next level
We just signed them (Troao and Auba) cause we need to make top four. Plus young talents with a High ceiling are expensive. Good defenders are expensive... duh. We have no money! Yet...
I think with Barcelona current state and being the transfer window in the middle of a season, i think it was good. With our salary issues and avoiding spending. This are good short term deals. If they become permanent then i will be disappointed (besides adama if he proofs he can be of use for us in the long term with good performances.) That being said, i think the purpose of this deals is to secure a top 4 finish. Though, i wish they tried a bit harder for a defender this transfer window. lol
You say "The auba and Adama signings don't really fit Xavi's vision for the future" but that's exactly why they reduced their wages a lot and why adama is a loan and auba is clearly a safe short term option (free transfer and his contract can be cut short in 2023) I don't really see many negatives with this window, even if they flop they're on low salaries and can be moved out in the summer. I rate this window highly because barca are in a significantly better position than they were when LaPorta took over
@Rabona TV it is true that they aren't the kinds of players you'd think a club like Barca would get where they are in their careers, but they are definite improvements and with the injury crisis Barca has had, it's good to have options. It seems to me like the priority this season is top 4 and they want to get there with the help of anyone who works short-term and doesn't hinder their finances. If Bartameu (the old president) was still in charge, he would've bought Auba, he would've given him more than what Arsenal were giving him through some shady move and he would've given him a 4 year deal
Glad you decided to make this video! Personally I am not a fan of the auba deal. They needed quality yes but they need quality at the back. They would have been better off spending his wages on a younger central defender for the future to take over for pique
The assessment of Adama shooting ability and passing ability isn't fair. Because he is normally doing crosses which has a low percentage completion and also those stats look from his worst season. If you take his stats from his best season he is a completely different player. I think the premier league is a hard nut to break sometimes. I think at Barcelona he will be more consistent because the Spanish league isn't as fierce defensively it might give him enough confidence to really score alot.
I don't know enough to qualify the quality of the signings but I will say this: Traore is JACKED dude. I mean seriously yoked out of his mind. Good for him.
Mate as an epileptic, I appreciate the fact you made the warning so that I couldn't squint sufficiently while watching in the dark. It's a small thing but a big thing to me. Thank you. Subbed 🙏❤️
This transfer window really gives me Milan flashbacks. Old players just for the name, weird signings, too much attack and individual talent who won't work together. It started with aguero then Alves then Auba. And every signing in between.
@Donquixote Doflamingo If Barca would fail to make the CL this season they are probably bankrupt or have to sell their Star Players otherweise there is No reasonable excuse to make These signings
@Donquixote Doflamingo there are times when you can go in debt but then you will need to be able to pay it Off over a Long Time. Barca will have to pay If Off in a short time probably the next 5 years
be blessed they are both the right fit i have ben talking for years about adama traore an laporta made it happen ,danny alves xavie mad it happen he is full of energy abaumeyang is a amacing seprice an ferran torres i like he workes for barca lets play game (ball)
It’s just so weird. You see teams collapse all the time, as a Liverpool fan I think of players like Voronin and Konchesky, and having Roy Hodgson as a manager. Then United and Arsenal, some of the terrible seasons they’ve had. I never thought it would happen to Barca. They have 2/3 of Middlesborough attacking line up from years ago. Braithwaite, Luuk De Jong and Adama Traore play for a team that used to have Messi, Neymar and Suarez. It’s just so odd I can’t get my head around it. I’m going to try and watch more of them, even if it’s Europa league 😂 That squad looks like a Football manager save gone wrong though. But who knows, they might work well together in the short term.
@Donquixote Doflamingo that’s why it’s so weird. There’s still a taste of the old Barca left in players like those three. A weird mixture of a team, like I said, it’s almost like a 12 year old child’s fifa team, or football manager save where theyve not balanced out the money properly. It’s the craziest squad I’ve ever seen.
It is one game, and I did say that based on their past, they didn't seem like a fit let's remember. But yeah man, they looked great! Dani Alves and Traore were fantastic (prior to that red haha). Traore finding his final ball was amazing.
@@RabonaTV i think that just this one game is worth those transfers. they are now in a position ahead of atleti. all they need to do is maintain their current form and even their worse form earlier this year would be fine because they caught up to atleti in that form.
I just feel like Barça keeps compromising their future for the sake of doing slightly better in the present. We did it before trying to win the Champions League every season and justifying huge signings for players that didn't even make sense either stylistically, like Coutinho and Griezmann, or financially, like Dembélé. It was always "we need to compete for a treble right now and win the CL", instead of just "maybe this season we just win la Liga and next one we upgrade where we were lacking to compete for the CL". Now it feels like we are so focused on not missing top 4 for this season that we have made so many bad signings and will definitely only be competing for top 4 next season as well, having already hindered our resources for the sake of being slightly better right now. I'd much rather if we could try to get significantly better next season by saving some money and looking for exactly the right players we need, but Barça are never gonna do that. I don't think Aubameyang will be any good, we are pushing Dest out of the team for Dani Alves when we are already too short on full backs and we should make sure Dest is integrated fully so we can bring in someone else to compete with him and also a LB to relieve Jordi. We also need a good CB because we are so bad defensively but all we do is buy forward after forward and then complain we don't score three goals every game after conceding almost every single game we play. I don't think it's ever gonna get better at Barça until they accept that they need more than one star signing and actually build a complete team from front to back, even if it takes one or two mediocre (meaning maybe only winning CdR) seasons in the meanwhile.
Bad signings? Mate have ever seen Barca this season with their attack? Every single signing made this winter market is good no signing is bad , and you say we are focused on top 4 so much this season? Well of course we would if you wanted to bring in players such as haaland and keesie. You keep talking about dest as he is the next Alves or the next rb prodigy mate whenever he comes on the pitch he is bad both offensively and defensively so what the point in keeping him? Just because he’s young doesn’t mean he’s good . My personal opinion is this a very good market and Barca and their board have done extremely well both financially and sporting wise.
@@mohdkhalid7355 yes bad signings, born out of pure desperation. Exactly the same thing you are saying now was said about the signings we made at the start of the season. That we needed Depay and Agüero, even if it meant we could no longer keep Leo. That Eric García was gonna solve our problems at the back. Even that selling incoming right back Emerson was a great idea because with Leo gone we were missing something at the front. Tell me, how exactly did thay go? And now here we are just six months later and what exactly is different this time? We had to bring in Alves because we were short staff at full back. Not one of the three forwards we signed back then has been good, so we bring in another three to see if they do better. Our best pairing at the back doesn't include García. This are bad signigns, mainly because it is never convenient to sign players in the winter window in the middle of the season. Ferran would've been cheaper next summer. Way better players than Auba and Adama are gonna be available. And all of that money would've been better spent then, so saving it was the best path. At least that's what I think. I don't think Aubameyang and Adama are gonna help us make top 4 at all. Ferran might, but at best we already have paid too much for him and now we have a contract until at least next year with Auba and a Ferran Torres that was promised a starting spot. If we fail to make top 4 now, we will be in a much worse position to get any players to come. At least before if we failed to do so, we had a squad that was ready to be rid of the deadweight. We basically put all our eggs in the Champions League qualification basket, and now we are really screwed if don't make it. So I guess it really depends on how much faith you have that we will make it, but personally I don't think we have that much more chance now compared to December.
While I didn't really support the Auba signing (despite liking him and Arsenal), I do have a sneaking feeling that he and Memphis will hit it off quite well.
Alves is nearly 40 which adds to an aging first team so bad deal Ferran is a good youngster so good deal Adama didn’t do anything really spectacular at wolves so pretty average deal Auba is still decent so good deal So overall it was a decent window
Adama is a special player and he offers something VERY different, incredible speed and physicality, he can burst through 1 or 2 lines of players all on his own, he just can't finish to save his life, but if Xavi can teach him to play a 10m pass then he'll be an incredible off the bench option, bring him on in the 60th minute when the opposition is tired and he's fresh and he'll decimate Spanish defences, and if he plays that 10m pass to a poacher/finisher like Auba who was one of the best finishers in world football for a good 8 years until about 2 years ago, then that's a recipe for a lot of goals. A lot.
I saw their match with Madrid in Supercopa de espana, lots of crosses were made from Barca side, so Traore was signed for crosses. Dont know about Aubameyang's signing.
Curious that you thought Dani Alvez, arguably one of the best wing back in the history of the game, and though 38, has always stayed fit, had nothing to offer? Dani is oozing with talent.
I mean they are paying also minimum wage to Auba and Traore, there is no real risk, if it goes wrong they will just return. Plus 3 of them speak spanish, bringing the grupo tighter
Signing and working with these players is going to give Xavi a good learning experience into the style and mentality of players that aren't "Barca players" and how to manage and use them effectively alongside the more technical players. Far better than if he just had only la masia graduates and could only learn learn top level management through one view of football.
torres reminds me very much of a david villa type, where he can operate across the frontline, but is most effective as a striker/false 9, dani alves to me makes sense because he is still at a decent level to help the squad and to help reestablish the barca culture that was lost in the last few years. aubameyang to me on the wages he's on is a good signing because he's someone who relies on service, which at barca he will get a decent amount of. adama traore is the biggest question mark for me due to his end product but he can be a good bench option when the opposing team has tired legs. Overall i give the window a 8/10, because these are all lowrisk/ sensible signings that can help in the short term while barca can start looking towards bigger names like Haaland.
Barca fans might think this is similar to getting Henry or Fabregas from Arsenal, when in reality this is closer to Vermaelen, Hleb and Alex Song. He’s simply not a Barca player. Ignore the fact he’s been missing sitters he used to score in his sleep and has severely underperformed his cG the last 18 months, the true worry is his style of play. Ask him to be a linkup striker or beat a man on the dribble you’re in trouble. He’s a poacher by default, was one of the best itw at one point, but if his struggle for goals continue you’ll quickly see why many Arsenal fans weren’t bothered that he was dropped out of the squad.
To me, the Auba tranfer is bizarre, though - maybe- not a terrible one. Its a free right? So if he fits and helps, fantastic, upgraded Luuk. If it's not great or middling, you can still sell him, maybe for essentially a pittance, but you mostly come out even? It really depends on how the contract is structured, but it could work. Especially if he comes in, gets shit going, and then sell him later on for some income. Who knows? I don't like it, we need serious defensive reinforcements, but I can only hope these work.
When Barcelona were at their best they were almost one of the best defensive teams. People overlook this. One of Barcelona failures were to get players the only knew how to attack and not know how to defend at the same time. Barcelona were excellent at man to man defending because most of their players had low center of gravity. This was particularly deadly after when Barcelona lost possession they quickly got the ball back this way when the defending and attacking positions were unstructured. Adama and Auba has a combination of attacking and defending. Dani has always been a great all round player, the best at defending the best at attacking.
Great Video! One note: Barcelona does NOT pay all adamas wages. He actually dont get 100 procent of his wages. For the trasnfers it is more simple: Alves and Torres great transfers. Adama and Auba are just the replacement for Demebele and Aguero
Kept on offloading. Torres. Alves. All good moves. Adama could end up being basically a swap for Trincao and be a solid performer for the team and an upgrade rn over Abde, Ilias and Dembele(who knows how often and how well he'll play). Jutgla has been nice to see, but he isn't even a clear upgrade over LDJ yet, so bringing in someone who should be better than both makes Auba a good deal imo.
Traore is automatically a better signing than demebele. He’s at least on the field while his counterpart spends more time partying or chilling with the physio. In other words I rather a player that is available than a guy who plays 1 out of every 5 games.
Aubameyang is signed with an intention to bring out the glorious form of Ousmane Demebele during Dortmund days. Dembele and Auba have performed best together and can help out Dembele a bit more. Nothing more I see from Auba's transfer, especially for a 32 Year old striker.
Barcelona Fc have done ✔ well ,buying Eric Aubamenyang 32 years old from Arsenal Fc to Barcelona Fc, Ferran Torres 22 years old from Manchester City Fc .And Daniel Alves 38 years old
Adama traore is a solid signing I think. On a budget, offers cover in two positions. Great athleticism, speed, and dribbling along the right flank which has been sorely missing, and good crossing for luuk de jong. Most importantly he's got something to prove and plays hard, something that had been missing recently.
Aubameyang may be an upgrade on Dejong, but he is not an upgrade on Depay. Both are high risk signings (not financially but in relation to elevating the club into the top 4) who could just as easily cost Barca a CL spot as they can contribute to them getting one. My opinion is that Braithwate, Depay and Dembele or even Braithwaite, Depay and Torres can hold the forward line and would be just as likely to get the club into the top 4 as Traore and Auba.
Torres was the only one they needed, they brought in an older version of Dembele off the pitch and a bulkier version of him on the pitch. Aubameyang ran away from Arsenal due to his lack of discipline and attendance issues, that sounds exactly like Dembele. Traore can be good, but he needs space to make an impact and show his explosiveness, that also sounds like Demebele. Barcelona keep clowning themselves in buying forwards when everyone has been asking for a better backline for over 3 years now.
The thing about La Masia players like Adama traore is that they always put a special kind of effort when they play in the first team. Honestly today I saw better passing and decisiveness from Adama (allegedly his weakness) than I have from Dembele the past 5 seasons
After the Atletico match, the attacking changes make sense, but what about the defence? That is still lacking. But decent window. Neither good nor bad.
I say that they have done MAGNIFICENT in the transfer window under their circumstances. I’ve BEEN saying for a long time that Traore is a gem that nobody seems to think about on the national team. I’m excited to see him play. Madridista at heart, but only in game. I was truly devastated with how Barca was after Voldemort left.
Exactly what I said about the Adama deal, they just brought in another Dembele LOL but hey maybe he'll prove us all wrong (doubt it but you never know)
Xavi wanted morata but that could not be possible so as the last option auba As we need to make sure top 4 to sign big players in the summer That's why we have made these short term moves Everyone seems to miss this point smh
The story about Morata changes every day. Barca wants him, then they don't, Atletico doesn't want him, nor does Juve, wait yes they do, now Barca want him again - no wait, he's going to the Prem etc. 😴
@@RabonaTV actually we wanted him It's just that we wanted him on a loan and atletico wanted us to pay 40 million right away Since it was gonna be a stop gap We didn't wanna make a permanent transfer
Regarding Aubameyang, I think Arteta simply just saying NO to player power. Auba probably had strike three on his discipline and just like Ozil, play out victim card excuses to reporters and social media. Discipline is not his forte but Barca need goal scorer and he was available.
My opinion its a successful window that guy in the podcast doesn't understand barca sign adama just to provide options to xavi along with the low salary, same can be said for auba, low risk and just for option. It is believed that barca financially will be better next season.
I’d argue that we did have a good transfer window. Time will tell. We aren’t even doing bad without them, 5th place!? I expected a lot worse from us with the complete disaster of a budget situation we were in. Nowhere but up with these guys. What are they going to do send us into 8th? Doubt it. When these transfers work out remember whose calling it this early. If they don’t 😅 whoops lol but doubt it.
this is a typical example of inaccurate analysis... The 2 players who are criticized on this video are the ones playing better than the most praise player ferran torres who can not convert a tapping ball into the net lol
No, it's a typical example of: 1) offering opinion based on the facts at hand *at the time* & 2) Adama and Aubameyang were either struggling or players Xavi *himself* said wouldn't be a fit at Barca. That's it. Time goes on, new things are learned, and even Xavi changes his mind on players. Keep that same energy for him as well!😉
Signings feel random, from what I see barca needed some more defensive solidity but bought a bunch of attacking players. That left hand side is going to be exploited badly
How Dembele is an upgrade over Adama Traore? Dembele has 2 assists in 6 games in la Liga and 1 goal in copa del Rey. Dembele may be more talented and may have higher ceiling but at this point, he is no better than Adama Traore. Plus any game could be his last game. So it's nice to have a backup.
One month on: Adama is a COMPLETELY different player from the one he was at Wolves, and even Xavi has changed his tune surrounding Aubameyang!
adama is literally the same player he was at wolves. its just that now he has competent teammates that can finish the chances he's creating
Traore getting an assist on his second debut really is that "return to Catalunya magic" we eluded to.😂 3/4 Jan signings with a goal contribution! So far so good.
Hot damn I was tryin to see who came from the match and Adrian already ready
Slap in the face for the doubters
Adama one man Army
And against Atlético! Let’s hope these new signings can keep surprising us Barca fans in a good way ✊🏽
I heard traore wont fit into xavis vision, not sure what you were "eluding" to lol
Auba is a risk, but he is capable of being a constant goal threat. At least until he starts sulking which will hopefully not be for a couple of years.
Auba is a beast. Relax and enjoy 😉
@@stevencooke6451 probably not in front of xavi and not at this moment, auba wants to prove himself.
Xavi is basically doing what Arteta did at Arsenal. Tried to do juega de posicion, saw the players aren't suitable, changed to a short term approach, with a long term objective of returning to positional play.
Man dont compare arteta and xavi😂😂😂
@@fellifellfelli why? He is making a good point, and is seemingly right.
Well said
Excellent comment. Need a blog to immortalise it
GRIMALDO!!!! WE’VE BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE HE WAS SOLD. I knew it was such a tremendous mistake to sell such a great player
Adama Traore has looked very sharp and promising so far
Kessie can be a good addition for summer along with contract renewals being priority, instead of chasing haaland, defense needs to be improved upon, sadly it's been neglected for years
Kessié would be massive! I really, really rate him. And I agree, solidifying their defence has to be the priority in the summer.
@@RabonaTV the problem is that kessie is at milan, a club fighting for the title and other silverware, wouldn't make much sense for him to move imo
That would be a very good move, and that's why Barcelona won't make that move😂...
Instead they're thinking of selling Frenkie😭😭
De Jong at CDM kessie abs Pedri at cm
@Donquixote Doflamingo rotational player
Bruh, you handling football business real well. I enjoy watching your videos. Keep it up.
They are still lost...
Aubameyang was probably an upgrade, but he hasn't perfomed this season
@@wayneverhoff9928 7:10 who posted thise reports?
Would Barca have signed such players if they didn't have the financial constraint? No, but they do and with that in mind they have signed decent players to make sure they finish in the top 4 in the league to qualify for champions league (how badly have we fallen😢) and then sell a couple of them such as Depay, Braithwaite, and maybe even Auba to afford some big names in summer
Anyway, great video!
@@M.S.1.5 kk ;)))
My issue ends up being no pick up in the defense. Like I get that they’ll probably use adama at RWB at times but tagliafico or another center back would of been ideal. If they’re strategy is to just out score opponents then I guess they can try that
This has always been the Barca way to outscore opponents
Gotta think of it like this. Barcelona Defense is it’s possession. Remember Pep achieved heights with a very bad defense. He won the 2011 final with a midfielder as a cb. Pique was the only true cb and Abidal was past his prime as a LB and hadn’t played in months.
Would of what exactly ?
They tried getting Tagliafico. Ajax blocked it
@@canvas11xD First off the defense that Pep used in the 2011 final was nowhere near bad.
You definitely did not watch the video before commenting as I basically said verbatim your opinions on Ferran and Dani.🙂
Finally... SOME SENSE
Pretty disappointed with Aubameyang signing, rest all are good if not great, the amount of effort Matheu Almenany and Jaon Laporta has put in behind the scenes, just hats off to them and their entire team
Auba will score you goals, Arteta is clueless,Xavi will get a tune out of him.Just watch...
The defend?? Centre back??
@@jokershotaro not good at all, but i was talking about the attacking sector.
Traore? Meme material
And you have like 10 other forwards and Xavi will need another few months to figure his ideal front 3.
I feel Laporta is desperately trying to flex Barça's pull in the transfermarket is all what he aimed for here.
2 days later Adama gets an assist in a 4-2 victory over Atletico Madrid along with a standing ovation from the home fans.
Hey Adrian you should do a video about the Canadian national team with their recent success with the World Cup qualifiers and how they were able to get to this point in time
Didn’t see your comment but I agree I made the same request, GO CANADA 🇨🇦
^^^
In my opinion this was not a good transfer window. it’s like they are getting whoever they can , instead of getting someone they want. Understandably it is Barcelona, they must contend, but it’s a rebuilding phase, i’m not expecting much. Seems forced.
I think they were looking to rebuild with Xavi but there hasn't been significant improvement under him and Barca are set to lose a lot of money if they don't qualify for Champion's League. So now there's a lot of pressure to make top 4 so I agree that these signings are forced, because they need to achieve that in the short term.
Kinda felt that, apart from Torres, they were 100% taking what they could, dani Alves feels like he is just there to be a assistant player manager but he has impressed and i feel he wants to help, Adama is wierd, i feel like he can be the guy to be in the top 30 on the ballon dor, however, this will only happen if his shooting finally gets good, and i don't see that, auba is a gamble, the problem is that he has had a ton of personal issues, if he gets over this barca has a damn good player
they want Europa cup by any means
The fact that a club with their debt can make 1 purchase alone is a win. They shouldn’t have been able to make any signings- free transfers or not. Right now anything helps this team compared to the team we saw in early December
You make damn good reviews man, keep it up
its not bad, good work was done, but i wouldn't fear getting drawn against them with the squad as it is right now.
Torres is not unproven
uuuu what torres isnt unproven hes played very well for valencia and mac city and plus im pretty sure hes got like 2 goals in 5 apps for barca right now wtf are you on about
Brother you are talking as like they have money to spend on transfers. Barcelona don’t need to panic buy on defenders they don’t need to buy defenders for only a couple of season they need a defender that is going to turn this team into a championship worthy team which they are going to do next season this season we only need to focus on top 4 which is mandatory if you are going to bring in world class players.
auba's transfer broke my heart he gave me sooo much happiness mannn
Alves will always be loved by us Barca fans & his class is permanent
Torres has potential to be one of the best in the world
Adama end product might be his weakest point but imagine him breaking through defenses such as Atletico with his dribbling & get the ball in the final third
Auba is taking this personal, he wants to prove something to Arteta
Adama with an assist, Ferran with an assist, and Dani Alves with a goal and an assist. I think the result speaks for itself 👀
Yet...
So? What do you think of their signings?
Meh at best
Massive upgrade over Luk De Jong for sure
For Barcelona standards, they are still lost
Good enough for a top 4 finish but if they want to win any titles these players are not good enough
Financially, they're not moving in the right direction. The debts just rise slightly slower now.. 😅😂
I rate this window highly because barca are in a significantly better position than they were when LaPorta took over
I'm talking about on the pitch.
I think Auba will do what they need: help them finish in the Top 4. Barca has to do whatever is neccessary to survive, which meand playing in the CL.
@Donquixote Doflamingo oh AC Milan had pato and Other Players its Not that different
@Donquixote Doflamingo but AC Milan weren't 1.4 Billion in debt
@Donquixote Doflamingo If Barca would fail to make the CL this season they are probably bankrupt or have to sell their Star Players otherweise there is No reasonable excuse to make These signings
@Donquixote Doflamingo Tottenham and athletico are in Long Term debt cause of a New Stadium Barca are in short Term debt
I think adama and auba is short term signings to secure top 4 this season
It’s just so weird. You see teams collapse all the time, as a Liverpool fan I think of players like Voronin and Konchesky, and having Roy Hodgson as a manager. Then United and Arsenal, some of the terrible seasons they’ve had.
I never thought it would happen to Barca. They have 2/3 of Middlesborough attacking line up from years ago. Braithwaite, Luuk De Jong and Adama Traore play for a team that used to have Messi, Neymar and Suarez. It’s just so odd I can’t get my head around it. I’m going to try and watch more of them, even if it’s Europa league 😂
That squad looks like a Football manager save gone wrong though.
I think this game has shit on all of the speculation in this video. No hate tho I didn't think Traore could be this good
It is one game, and I did say that based on their past, they didn't seem like a fit let's remember.
I'd be interested in a deep dive video about what is happening at Rayo Vallecano, on and off the pitch. It's an odd, contrasting situation 🤔🤔
Hey its great to see you too man.
While I didn't really support the Auba signing (despite liking him and Arsenal), I do have a sneaking feeling that he and Memphis will hit it off quite well.
3:43 not gonna lie…you had me there for a sec 🤣
that podcast age like milk
Alves is nearly 40 which adds to an aging first team so bad deal
Ferran is a good youngster so good deal
Adama didn’t do anything really spectacular at wolves so pretty average deal
Auba is still decent so good deal
So overall it was a decent window
I’m waiting on you to upload a video about Canada and the run they’re having in CONCACAF WCQ, they deserve the praise
Hey Adrian, big fan of ur channel. can you do a review about Bruno Guimaraes bro? Cheers!
As a wolves fan adama won’t score. If he does I will go into a state of depression
I’ll miss him but we’ve still got a lot of good wingers!
Hope these signings help the young talents absorb good in the dressing room and on the pitch.
Need CB and LB signings soooon.
Most importantly he's got something to prove and plays hard, something that had been missing recently.
how does barca find the money to make transfers?
Aubameyang may be an upgrade on Dejong, but he is not an upgrade on Depay. Both are high risk signings (not financially but in relation to elevating the club into the top 4) who could just as easily cost Barca a CL spot as they can contribute to them getting one. My opinion is that Braithwate, Depay and Dembele or even Braithwaite, Depay and Torres can hold the forward line and would be just as likely to get the club into the top 4 as Traore and Auba.
Thank u for the time stamps
Love the videos as always Adrian
Torres was the only one they needed, they brought in an older version of Dembele off the pitch and a bulkier version of him on the pitch. Aubameyang ran away from Arsenal due to his lack of discipline and attendance issues, that sounds exactly like Dembele. Traore can be good, but he needs space to make an impact and show his explosiveness, that also sounds like Demebele. Barcelona keep clowning themselves in buying forwards when everyone has been asking for a better backline for over 3 years now.
If you ask someone veiw on it and they say they don't have a clue then Don't ask them Barcelona are going in the right way trust
The thing about La Masia players like Adama traore is that they always put a special kind of effort when they play in the first team. Honestly today I saw better passing and decisiveness from Adama (allegedly his weakness) than I have from Dembele the past 5 seasons
7:20 AHHHHH!!!! MY EYES!!!!!-A Wolves fan, presumably.
Love the "Bright screen coming up" warning
After the Atletico match, the attacking changes make sense, but what about the defence? That is still lacking. But decent window. Neither good nor bad.
I say that they have done MAGNIFICENT in the transfer window under their circumstances. I’ve BEEN saying for a long time that Traore is a gem that nobody seems to think about on the national team. I’m excited to see him play. Madridista at heart, but only in game. I was truly devastated with how Barca was after Voldemort left.
Traore isn't that good mate, there's a reason he never plays
Few years ago, there was talk that Aubemayang was to go to Real Madrid or it was some dream. How the turntables…
can you make a video about Suriname? They gave the world so many good players
Traore is a gem
Exactly what I said about the Adama deal, they just brought in another Dembele LOL but hey maybe he'll prove us all wrong (doubt it but you never know)
Xavi wanted morata but that could not be possible so as the last option auba
As we need to make sure top 4 to sign big players in the summer
That's why we have made these short term moves
Everyone seems to miss this point smh
The story about Morata changes every day. Barca wants him, then they don't, Atletico doesn't want him, nor does Juve, wait yes they do, now Barca want him again - no wait, he's going to the Prem etc. 😴
@@RabonaTV actually we wanted him
It's just that we wanted him on a loan and atletico wanted us to pay 40 million right away
Since it was gonna be a stop gap
We didn't wanna make a permanent transfer
@@Yash-zg3dp makes sense for athletico. Why make a rival strong and get nothing in return.
Adama is a beast, he could have a feast with defenders in la Liga
Regarding Aubameyang, I think Arteta simply just saying NO to player power. Auba probably had strike three on his discipline and just like Ozil, play out victim card excuses to reporters and social media. Discipline is not his forte but Barca need goal scorer and he was available.
Something Benfica needs to do with a few of our players... send them off to the hinterlands!
Adama has proven so far that he deserves to be at barca
Adrian keep up the good work brotha💪
Dembele's passing ability: I agree
Dembele's finishing ability: Nah. Liverpool's match is evident.
My opinion its a successful window that guy in the podcast doesn't understand barca sign adama just to provide options to xavi along with the low salary, same can be said for auba, low risk and just for option. It is believed that barca financially will be better next season.
We needed a decent left back rather than auba and adama ngl.
Actually I'm surprised they haven't gotten any defenders. Pique and Lenglet at CB don't really mean much.
Only time will tell whether these signings can revive the club in mid season
Well that ”no” didnt age well since barca Just crushed atletico
Good analysis basically they are all upgrades from what we have
Rabona tv >>>> one football
this is a typical example of inaccurate analysis...
Alves is awesome as inverted wing back.
