    2 words - COMPLY TIPS! Those inexpensive foam tips make literally any cheap set of in-ears sound amazing!!! They make tips for all of these models, including the Shure 215!!!!

      Man I despise the comply tips, 😂 I know people swear by them though.

      @@RylandRussell I hated them too -until I discovered they have 3 primary tip styles, you probably either had the wrong tip size and or the wrong tip style… It took me 3 different purchases to find the PERFECT fit and style… Once you lock in your preference, you can purchase the perfect tips for ANY model of in-ears…

    I have to say that the investment into 64 Audio its well worth it. As someone who had a pair from the V series for 7 years and I've now I've just upgraded to the A series and it is a massive difference. Also, the you just can't beat the comfort of the custom fit. That being said - we also provide a lot of KZ earphones for our team members that do not have their own monitors.

      @@athenovae I'm actually boutta get mine, still in transit though. I'm really curious how wan'ers compare with the classic blon bl03.
      Some say tangzu has the better overall tuning compared to blons. And it's v curve is exactly what I want. Some good bass with good top end.
      Would've bought the 7hz zero si ce it has some really nice technical abilities but tbh, I don't think I'd enjoy em, still gonna buy one in the future though. 7hz zero is kinda of too bright for my taste in iems, I already have the samson sr950 headphones for that kind of tuning anyways + I get better technical ability!

    • @athenovae
      @athenovae ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Fennetic I’m a noob to IEMs and only have the Moondrop Chu rn cuz my friend sold his to me for $10 😅 (otherwise I would have gotten the Tangzu Wan’er as my first). In comparison to the 7Hz Zero’s tune, the Wan’er bass was the deciding factor for me as well, tho I’d still characterize its tune as balanced rather than v shaped. The CCA CRA is a v shaped for example.
      But news on the block is Truthear is about to release the Hola ($19) which has slightly higher sub bass and a more delayed treble than the Wan’er and I’m now looking forward to that one! 😂

    hey i’m sorry but this list is already SUPER outdated lol. the in ear space is absolutely flying and going bonkers these days. in a matter of months there are significant improvements and radical changes to price defining iems. you should check out some communities.
    7hz zero, tangzu wan’er, truthear hola, all of these cost 20$ or less and would wager they sound better than every iem mentioned here(apart from the $750 64ears one maybe)

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sweet, I’ll check those out next time we need to buy some. Thanks a bunch. What is your pick for in ears under $50 currently?

    • @1337wafflezz
      @1337wafflezz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RylandRussell I can only speak on the ones I own, tangzu wan’er and moondrop chu. Both are excellent in their own right, wan’er overall is better. Super amazing tuning! great fit, eartips, ok-ish cable(for 20$ can’t complain right?)
      Moondrop chu has advantage with its full metal build. sounds very monitor-like and neutral, bordering on thin but great in its own right.
      as for speculative?
      Kiwi Ears Cadenza and Tin c2&c3 are popular as well in the 30-50 range.
      Truthear Hola just came out for 19$ and that one looks a like real winner too.
      edit: of course don’t want to leave out the 7hz zero most say the sound is a refined and slightly bassier/thicker chu

    Thanks for these insights! I love trying to find new affordable alternatives for IEM's for my team. My current favorites are for sure the 7Hz Salnotes Zero. They're a single dynamic driver around $20, but they sound just as good as my KZ Z10 Pro's ($50 and 5 drivers), and the cable comes with a cinch for the back of your neck. I was also recently gifted the Kiwi Ears Cadenza. I'm still trying them out, but so far, they seem on par with the KZ ZS10 Pro's and 7Hz Zero's and are $35.

      We just got a pair of KZ ZS10Pro X to try. Newer version but at a slight cost advantage over ZS10 Pro. I gave them to a team member who had some good words on first try but looking for slightly different tips.

    Very helpful. FWIW I accidentally received a pair of TRN ST1's (I ordered some nicer KZ's) and fell in love with them. I even repurchased them after letting them get washed (oops)! I think they're great, at least in the sub $50 category.

    I rock the KZ ZSN pros. I let the others on my team try them and they loved. Almost everyone bought them as well. We started to the Shure 215s. Most of us hate them.

  • @BrianSimmons

    Two other great options are the CCA CRA ($15-20) or the CCA CRA+ ($30) - both by KZ. The CRA sounds really good for the price and the CRA+ sounds even better. They are both single driver units. Don't buy into the "more drivers are better" philosophy. More drivers can/will introduce phasing and at this price point phasing is not something the manufactures considered when they designed the IEM.

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good points. Ya the driver hype and marketing terms used are hyperbole sometimes. I just base it off how they actually sound and fit for the most part. Thanks for those suggestions!!

    My favorite if you can handle them are the Etymotic ESR2XR’s. They go MUCH deeper into the ear canal than most headphones which may make some people eerie, but give you superior insulation compared to the rest of the market. They are the best IEMs I’ve found for under $100.

    Linsoul web site has all these and many more. I found a few $10 units there and they have sales often. Personally I am using Thieaudio Legacy 3. Color is nice and good for listening but not flat for mixing. Could be ok for IEM on stage. I do want to try the highly rated Legacy 5.
