- Mama is running some errands with 4 of the kids and I try to make errands as fun as possible. I returned a few shirts and then we went to the fun part of Macy's - Toy R Us. The kids had a blast playing with blocks and Melody found a play doh set she really liked. Then we got some ice cream sundaes at Mc Donalds. We headed home and ran into Josiah who told us about his latest history adventure! #largefamilylife #nyc #shopping
As a Early Childhood Teacher I am so happy to see your kids loving the blocks. It is so good for their development.
I know you got the family some for Christmas.
Hooray!
I taught Kindergarten and when it was raining or After School the older kids would ask me to play with them.
Yes! The kids love the blocks more than the other toys they got I think!
Mo looks great in his brown sweater.
Another great adventure on 34th Street. Anna was such a great helper with Mo. I am so glad they enjoyed the blocks.
I’m always so glad when you get back home.
The children had fun they had plenty for them to do and always so good at helping each other 🤗🫶🙏
You should definitely watch miracle on 34th St. with the kids. The original one. And yes, it was about this Macy’s.
Yes! It’s on my movie wish list!❤️
Loved shopping at Macys but remembered how hot it was In December. We had to get shopping bags for our heavy coats. I must say you are doing such a great job with your children. They always look so neat. I was wondering how long it takes you to do the girls braids and they are to perfection. I’m sure you’re in charge of trimming their hair. Thomas, the train was one of the most fun things for my grandsons had so many pieces for them they just love playing with it. I don’t know any child that doesn’t love McDonald’s. Such a fun day. I would just love to be there with you.❤
❤️❤️🙏
Bringing back lots of memories of my last trip to NY. Really enjoy your vlogs of your family life .
Always good to see you and your family.
This looks like so much fun!
Thank you so much for the trip to Macy's. I've always wanted to go to that one. Children are precious as always!
Moses is having so much all the toys 😊
Macy's is so cool!! The history!! Love it!
Thank you for taking us along on your flagship Macy’s adventures! I’ve never had the opportunity to go upstairs there before. I don’t know if your family has been there for their annual flower show yet, but it is usually held the end of March through the beginning of April. Macy’s has said that it will have the flower show again in 2025, but they haven’t announced the exact dates yet.
So much fun to watch your NYC videos, haven’t been there in years since I moved abroad again. Love your family ❤
You're definitely thrown into the fire, corraling your kids in N.Y. I couldn't imagine, I have 4 outside of there and couldn't keep them all together, if I tried. You're doing a great job momma and learning as you go. Love to watch!❤
Boy mo loved that wooden block he was holding it everywhere
I now have to stop what I'm doing to watch your videos. ❤ That was a fun adventure to Macys! Plus, we learned another bit of NYC history from Josiah. 😊
❤️❤️❤️
Thats the biggest Toys R us store I've ever seen I love toys lol. Have a Blessed Sunday💙
🙏❤️
Thanks for sharing another fun video ! 😊
your daughters braids are perfection! I just had to say it. I love braiding and love her hair. Ok back to viewing😊😊 😊😊😊
Wow I’ve been following you and I just heard your son on the radio?! I’m listening to 91.5 KUSC and she just said a 15 year old cellist Elijah and now I’m hearing a wonderful interview with your son! Wow! What a treat!
Love watching you go on your fun adventure ❤
The kids really loved the blocks. Looks like hours of entertainment. I had the play dough dentist as a kid. It was called Dr drill and fill. I don’t eat much McDonald’s either but I do like a hot fudge sundae. 😊
Oh yes, gotta go back to Macys to see Christmas window displays and Santa!
Awww ToysRus ! We don't have this in England anymore sadly. Great trip thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed it. Your beautiful children are so well behaved ❤
🙏❤️
You must watch all the Christmas in NYC movies this year! Especially Miracle on 34th Street, a classic!
Yes! We want to watch that!
I am so glad that u are feeling better
Your videos are so entertaining. Thanks
Really enjoyed this video got to see New York! Amazing ty👍🏻
Love seeing the children go on shopping trips and knowing how to maneuver the train and enjoy the adventures. They do an amazing job, including Moses.
So glad everyone is feeling better
I have been sick for just about 3 weeks before i started feeling better
I’m happy Melody is feeling better!! 🥰
Love that Macy’s!
If you go up to the 4th floor they still have the original old wooden escalator!
Yes! It’s amazing that is still works!
Moses looks so smart in his birthday outfit.
Happy Sunday! What a fun vlog! I have not been to McDonald’s in 20 years, except for when we did an experiment with the kids. They know where to place those restaurants, haha! Do all your kids live at home or visit a lot? Sending love from Wisconsin!🫶
Thank you! All of the kids live at home except for Pearl who stays at the dorm but she comes home often.
Hi Amber and kids! Always look forward to your video's!😊
I love this flagship Macys store! I live just outside of the city. You have to take the kids back when the Macys store is fully decorated for Christmas!! It is beautiful inside and the outside windows are decorated. If you are able to take them on a weekday in the morning you might miss the holiday crowds. Hope you are feeling well, great video! ❤
Thank you!❤️🙏
Wow that Macys is amazing!!!
Thank you 😊
A Miracle on 34th Street!❤❤
I love the float display
Seeing the Macys now compared to what it looked like in the Movie, it has changed quite a lot. The kids looked like they had a blast. It's nice that they have play stations for the kids in the stores. I remember going to McDonalds and got a cheeseburger, fries and a drink for under a dollar. I can't believe that Apple Pie was over $2. Talk about inflation! Thanks for sharing your day with us.
I think they changed it because they have people cutting through to get to the other exit. It must be easier to keep them walking straight through instead of walking through displays.
Those keychains so so cute
Macy is a Nov store. They used it in miracle on 34th St. and that’s also where they have the parade every year not too far from that. It’s a special toy store called Schwartz.
Little Melody still looks under the weather. Make sure she sleeps more and stays warm. She is such a vibrant soul, but very subdued this time. 💙
Hey Amber you shouldn’t order stuff online cause you have to return everything lol God bless
😅😅😅yes! The deals are so good online but the colors are always wrong!😅❤️
Considering how busy she is with her family, in person shopping is likely fairly difficult to do.
Awesome video sweet dearest friends The Happy Caravan I soo love shopping I miss toys r us lots of hugs and love to you all sweet dearest friends The Happy Caravan 😊❤
Thank you Sarah!🙏🥰
@TheHappyCaravan your welcome sweet dearest friends The Happy Caravan 😊 ❤️
I love watching her videos because I live in CA and love NY. I wish I could have the courage to move like she did. However I was getting nervous watching this. There’s too many little ones without holding an adults hand. Yes moms there but too many ppl in NY that can snatch them.
Yes, especially with the umbrellas. I usually ask Melody to hold onto the stroller but sometimes she walks with Anna.
When are the children home schooled? Is it every day? Can you do a video on that?
When I went with band in high school we loved the wooden escalators in Macy’s
Anna is very good with mo she is very good with him
They have a product called magic sand that does not make as much of a mess.
Can u tell us a bit about how u manage the lack of public bathrooms with the kids in nyc
The movie was based on Santa Claus who worked at maceys ( Sebastian Cabot)
Hi Amber I would keep my kid's ah bit closer just saying God bless you
Yes! That’s something I need to improve! Sorry. When we all go out as a family there are so many big kids that help keep the little kids in line. I need to work on my solo parenting skills!
I think that Macys has a wooden escalator still….. pretty cool!
Oops, I wrote the comment before video was over 😂
I remember the apple pies 2 for 1.
Looks like MO getting blocks for Christmas
How to you do gift giving for Christmas in your family?
What a fun outing! I haven’t been to that Macy’s in years.. fun to see it as we approach Thanksgiving and the Parade!! ❤❤
Id be a nervous wreck with melody lagging behind walking..thats just me ❤ mom is very sweet
The prices are more expensive at Macy’s but otherwise the apple pies out here in Texas are $1.25
Wow that’s good to hear! When we go to Texas we can get our Mc Donald’s fix! 🙌🏼 Even Chipotle is quite a bit more expensive here probably because the rent and minimum wage is so high here.
I noticed that the little ones have been coughing. I hope that everyone is ok?
A woman friend worked security in Macy's and she used to talk about the women shoplifters! Most of the ones she caught were wealthy bored housewives! She said they always made a scene screaming and yelling! They'd soil themselves and the thing she used to laugh about was they actually had to get them new clothes and even shoes (urine soaked shoes) to wear for the walk of shame! She said the husbands(usually big name lawyers or bankers) would come to bail them out! She used to talk about what they stole were nonsense cheap items! They would always say why would I steal that? She said the husbands used to pay the fine and pay for the clothes and they were banned from the store! They had walls covered with mug shots of the shoplifters! After a week or so they'd come back and then would be escorted out of the store. They'd wear hats, sunglasses, even wigs. It was a game for them!
Wow! That’s surprising! I have heard of that. Sometimes even movie stars do that for the thrill. Really bizarre!😮
Your kids are so well behaved. There are plenty of kids who aren't well behaved in public places. I'd love to come to NYC, as I am in canada.
🙏❤️
Could you guys do a 5 below shopping trip with the kids
I think they’d love that store!
Where the shirts to big or to small to return them
The color looked different online.❤️
Do the kids have a set amount of hours for homeschooling? Im so confused about homeschooling and how it benefits the kids? Do they have to take tests and pass to move on to another grade?
They have a lot of oversight because we use a public charter school so we have a public school teacher that evaluates their work. They also take tests. But with homeschooling we have the opportunity to learn out of the house as well, like going to museums and so forth. While “school” does need to fill a set number of hours, with things like math and so forth it’s more a percentage of the online course they need to achieve to pass the class.
@@TheHappyCaravan I wished sometimes I would have homeschooled my girls but have always been confused about the whole situation! I wasnt the brightest in school!! I had a hard time helping them with homework when they were in grade school!! But was a huge book reader, I read to them all the time!
Im a only child and probley benefited going to a public school. But think its not for everyone, its really tough and schools are getting worse.
Hi from Maine ❤ great job parents
Family field trips are very educational
Adventures are the best 😊
Did everyone get something or just her . She brave going on the subway
They all shared it.❤️
Be safe
I have found melody seems to get something when u take something back every time
I probably wouldn’t have gotten the thing she asked for this time except all the kids had a lot of fun with it (and it was surprisingly cheap) I told her I would get it if it could be for everyone. Even Elijah my 17 year old had fun playing with it. It kind of reminded me of that oldskool game called “operation”.
Maceys / 34th St
Yes Virginia there is a Santa Clause, miracle on 34th st
At what time does it begin to get dark in NY? In the Netherlands it is around 7pm, in a few weeks the clock gets an hour earlier so it will be dark at around 6 pm
It is getting dark here now around 6:00pm. In less than a month we set our clocks back an hour.
So it will start getting dark here at 4:30pm.
Eventually that will be also in the Netherlands, its dark early in december, we then have the Shortest day, then day begins to get lighter again!
I found out that donut makers exist ! 😊
Moses...do you need anger management.."Yeah" 😊 too cute!! That Macy's does look like a mall😮 It's great seeing the kids have fun in NYC❤
Can u tell us a bit about how u managed life during covid in nyc?
They only moved to NYC summer 2022.
I just want to compliment you your an amazing mother ! Love this video so much - blocks are amazing my kids love them , and i must say Moses is the most mature little man - his skills at feeding himself are amazing
Aw Thank you! Yes I was really amazed by how much they loved the simple blocks! Sometimes it’s the simplest toys that provide the most fun!
Why didn't he wear his hat? His brown sweater is so cute! He is a little teddy bear!
@daveshoemaker7137 haha yes! It was a little warm for it that day!❤️
Does an adult need to stay at Juilliard with the kids?
Moses speaks Russian when he says yes, he says "da", which is yes in Russian. ❤
Yes!🙌🏼
Some of yours videos say family of 13 and some say 12 and then again 10, which is it? Confused in Oklahoma
2 parents,10 kids, and one on the way. Maybe they were typos
Does it make you nervous living in NYC with all the people n kids that run ahead of you
Yes honestly. I’m trying to get better at enforcing the rules with the kids when they are with just me. My husband and older kids really help when we all go out together. On my own it’s a challenge. When I just have Melody and Moses it’s not so tough because there are just 2 to watch. 4 on my own is a challenge and I’m learning better ways to keep them together. It’s also extra hard with the umbrellas because they use both hands to hold the umbrella.
Thank you you do get videos
wonder women oneness are so cute😊
Always enjoy watching your adventures with the kids. Going to the mall and seeing some of those toys brought back memories! Mr. Potato Head I always loved, along with the etch-a-sketch. Thank you for another fun video! 🙏❤
Thank you! Yes I used to spend hours on the etch-a-sketch! That was the oldskool screen time!😅❤️
@@TheHappyCaravan Yes, it was!
Ive seen where kids were just snatched so quick right from there parents especially in big cities like new york that would scare me to death id have the kids holding my hands or the stroller at all times
Yes usually Anna is holding hands or they are next to me, but I need to keep better track.
Your a wonderful mom and I meant no disrespect but that was my worst fear when my kids were little and your from California which is so much more layed back than New York which is so dangerous
The comments about holding the children’s hand’s some how would be safer. Amber how would you run after someone, if they were to grab a son or daughter? God for bid. Your family is so precious stay safe ❤
@jennyroberts9233 Honestly I prayerfully leave the house. Naturally I’m a homebody, but the kids really enjoy the adventure. I just pray for safety and try to be as wise as possible. I know I could definitely be wiser though! I see preschool groups walk around the city with a little rope that the kids all are supposed to hang onto. If someone really wanted to snatch a kid, the rope wouldn’t really help but it’s still a good idea I think. I just don’t have enough hands for everyone particularly while holding and umbrella and pushing a stroller. The camera is tiny, easy to hold that and a hand. It’s really the stroller that’s the issue but I definitely do want to keep a better reign on the other ones.
@@TheHappyCaravanamber I would recommend just have them stay little closer hold on to the stroller. U doing great.
New subscriber 😊 great vlog 😊 do you all live in one big house together in New York 😊
Thank you!🙏🥰
Does someone walk the girls home from the subway at night?
I can not watch you when your out with your younger kids, you don't watch them good enough for me, how can you let them walk that far ahead if you while your filming, and you never look back.when they are behind you , to busy in that camera, and yall I. NEW YORK, i would dare take my b eyes off my kids
New to the channel, I was strolling and a grocery haul was recommended to me , so I watch the haul and got hooked to your family!!!
Aw Thank You so much!🥰❤️🙏
$3 for an apple pie?! 😭 NYC inflation
Lol yes!😅
When MCdonalds fried their pies they were more yummy.
Yes! I remember those!
You're not wrong.
Nyc has failed abysmally at the basic human right to have access to 24hr public restrooms, anywhere, at anytime. There's absolutely no excuse for it. Not even the sadly pathetic argument, of homeless or drug addicts taking them over. It's a human dignity right, damn it! It's a human health-safety right! Do better nyc! Do, damn, better!
However, nyc makes up for it in so many other ways.
One of the main reasons why I haven’t been to Manhattan in years.
Hello from England , really enjoy your vlogs 😊
A fun excursion for the little ones in the Big Apple! Watching such joy brings much joy....
Hello! Are you going to have a baby registry?
We haven’t yet but it’s a good idea!❤️
First I have to say …. You appear to be a good Mom ….. but I notice in all your videos …. Enok seems to be left out or shorted !!!!
I feel so bad for Enoch. He always looks sad and seems to be ignored all the time.
I feel bad for him to I feel the same way
Amber why don't you ever eat nothing
I do, I usually eat peanut butter bread or something before I go because sugar makes me really sleepy.
@@TheHappyCaravan you could have got u a sandwich
A hamburger
Once, again, as much as we love your family and their music, I have to give you a thumbs down. Amber, you are not keeping your littlest ones close to you in the New York sidewalk and street traffic. Melody was behind you for a time, and later, she was in the middle of the crosswalk while you were still on the sidewalk! What gives? Is your camera so kuch more important than your children? Put the camera down, or find a way to attach it to your coat.
Looking forward to more great videos when you are watching over those precious children.
I love this family, but I have to agree. I’m a New Yorker, and believe me when I say, it’s not a very safe place.
Definitely working on it, sorry. I think having the little backpacks with a handle might help.
What a fun day out, especially with the blocks at Macy’s! I see @disabledfirefighter’s safety concerns. You’ve seen things we have not. The good thing is that everything we see, Amber sees too (even Melody behind her). Videos are heavily edited so we don’t hear or e see safety instructions like “Ok, green light, everyone look right and left…” And I would think that the camera runs a small percentage of time in a 6-hour day out.
Having said that, I like the buddy system and rain jackets/hats for littles to keep them close and share an umbrella with their buddy if it starts pouring. I might keep everyone ahead of me and the oldest in front.
@mctousley5367 Yes I give a lot of instructions off camera but I definitely can be more careful.
New York City is one of the safest cities in the world. Safer than alll of your flyover small towns. Take a look ag the actual stats by the FBI and the NYPD and you’ll see that our city is safe.
Oh please, stop showing the subway rides so often. We get it. Put down the camera and just enjoy being with your kids..
It gives you the vibe of NYC
But every single time? Agree to disagree.@@mariah660
This is her channel and if you don't like it don't watch it. Take your complaining somewhere else.
If you don't like it, don't watch it. You are rude.
Yep, I won't watch it again. @@hmeerdink9606
No peanuts?
Yes!😭 I guess they don’t have them anymore because of allergies.
