When there is not enough room to swing a more normal length scythe blade (60-70cm), a very short blade can be used with short, quick, trimming strokes. The 35cm Falci model 187 does a great job. These blades should be peened and then honed sharp. I rake up the cut grass from the pathways directly on the beds as mulch. In this video, I bunch it up and use it to support the potato plants.
