Man on that Russia round on the sign it said Minsk to the west and you even read it 😭. ALSO 35:08 THAT ENDING LMAO, that's DEFINITELY going to the list of the best zigzag moments, the mic glitching out when you yelled too 😂
That yell was memeworthly, im still cracking up lol
My mind was melting as zigzag was throroughly inspecting antennas while being literally 10 meters behind a huge sign with place names.
You could do a series on the other channel where you play explorer mode trying to get 25k or Gold on every country, invite other players from the country you play and you both talk about metas for that country while playing it. It would help you pinpoint, learn signs and road angles better and it would make great content!

Yeah, there was clearly a full second left when he clicked. Definitely needs to get into the habit of immediately clicking at least *_somewhere_* when the timer starts, then searching for extra info. It's screwed Oscar over countless times now :/

Fun ACW fact: according to the google doc the creators made, US comprises 4.9% of all locations which is the highest of any country. Next highest is Russia at 4.2% and then Brazil at 3.6%. Huge difference compared to the old duels map which almost definitely had less than 1% US (Canada was way more common than US for some inexplicable reason).

always annoyed the crap out of me to be constantly getting Europe 4 out of 5 rounds and going multiple duels without a single US round, let alone anything even close to where im from lmao

it makes sense, the biggest countries with the most locations should have the biggest chance of being picked, but at the same time small countries shouldnt be impossible to get either. ACW is a nice balance inbetween imo

The odd South Dakota round was in Badlands National Park, very distinctive landscape as you said and definitely worth remembering for future rounds. Most people not from the US/Canada probably won't recognize it immediately, so really good to remember.
Badlands has got to have some of the coolest landscapes anywhere on Earth. I would love to go there some day.
Will preface this by saying kratsoo and zig are both monsters, way better than me, etc... but i did have to cringe seeing a couple of world class geo players fail to get within 1,000 km of the Badlands.
It just gives me those iconic wild west vibes, like imagine being an outlaw on the run from the law, getting cornered against one of those insane hills/cliffs/mountains... actually what would you call those?

R1 in the first duel was Badlands NP, which is very recognizable once you've seen it :)
Going from 51 to 26 points with a 5x multiplier, would've loved to see the other parties face on that 😂

You keep using grass on roofs as a marker for northern Norway, but there are quite alot of cabins and houses around the mountainous regions around jotunheimen and that latitude that have those as well.
Coloradan here, In the Colorado round if you look west you can see a dark wall that is actually the rocky mountains, and if it looks plains-like but you can see the dark of the mountains in the distance you know you are in eastern Colorado.

I feel your pain at the end...I'm in mainland China which requires a VPN for GG and anything Google related, and occasionally I suffer from sudden losses in internet and unregistered guesses

Sad ending for the last duels. Idk if it's also my crappy internet or if there's some sort of bug, but i have suffered the same in multiple duels since the last update, sometimes placing the pin up to almost 2 seconds earlier than the ending of the timer.
30:05 the taiwan round is very 5kable if u know chinese. the sign not only indicated which county you are in but also which road. the 投 means of nantou county which is in the middle of taiwan
What many other players do is get a routine in where you get a quick vibe(first 0-5sec), then they click that on the map and then they start moving and finding clues. like that you can never have no guess.
The Russian round: the road sign clearly shows MİNSK, it should be clear that the road leads straight into Minsk...

With that Colorado round you went Kansas on - it looks like Kansas sure but Colorado’s plains will be more markedly more dry. I’m from Colorado too so maybe I’m just biased based off of the vibes but I go there 100% of time if it’s a super dry agricultural setting

a-type is the easiest to memorise its the least oblasts and least spread. all regions with a type are extremely distinct from one another.

Z8 definitely thought getting #1 was going to be a breeze. The pros in the top 10 will not let him reach first place, maybe 3rd or 4th but not 1st
I really don't think he's getting close to 3rd or 4th. There are dozens of other pro/elite level players grinding duels after the latest changes. I would be genuinely surprised if Zig breaks top 25. Zig is a fantastic player, but so are many, many others.
