I actually like that the World map doesn't spoonfeed you meta, poles and roadlines. Trekker coverage is nice because you have to actually learn a countries culture which many competetive players just refuse to do.
for some rounds you’re totally right,others are definitely not fit for a “competitive” mode imo
There is actually a ton of meta in world map, for example if you see a ton of birds you know you're on Midway Island, most trekker coverage is really generic nature rounds which you can only get by memorizing.
5:40 yes this is the design for pedestrian crossing signs they use in Belgium, also the orange signposts are unique to Belgium :))

i mean that country half the time doesn't have guard rails on huge mountain roads what i feel like at some point what side of the road you are driving matters a little less I'd go straight down the center or just hug the mountain personally

18:44 In Romania, license plates indicate the area, and with about 40 of these areas (not sure Im not Romanian) it could be worth learning the big ones. BV is Brasov, B is Bucarest, CJ is Cluj, etc. These are quite common ones but beware Bucarest is a rainbow of every area code regarding to cars, but generally the majority of plates get you the right area. Then again, as license plates are usually blurred Im not sure how useful this one is.

Great content! The discipline to stick to no moving is admirable. No 1 rank no moving would be sick, not sure that's realistic though. The disadvantage you face when you come up against top players I imagine will be too much. But bravo for sticking with it

At 18:52 (the Romanian round) there might have been text on the car. I am partly struggling a little to keep up with the panning (although I struggle even more with Rainbolt, usually).
And I agree with a comment earlier, utca is very Hungarian (not sure if there can be a monolingual Hungarian sign in Romania, some Hungarian words may be possible in parts of Romania). It might be one of those 'one country only words' like the -tie in Finland and -tee in Estonian.

A tip for NZ highways SH1 goes full length of the country, SH2-5 are North Island, SH6-9 are south and the rest start from 10 in the north of North Island to 99 south of South Island

You could've definitely saved yourself some trouble in Bulgaria by looking at guardrails more closely, they often put red reflectors in the center as opposed to Romania

This series ispired me to play more duels again. Actually got into the top 50 for the first time since June. I'm sure you'll get there as well without moving!

I actually don't agree with zigzag on changing the world map.
I mean it surely needs some balance (talking to you Singapore and Vienna) but other than that, i feel like removing trekker footage in urban areas or some cool sites isn't justifiable just because you want to see some bollards and poles.
if they fixed the balance and kept the trekkers i’d be chill with it

I do NM as well 90% of the time mainly to get that time advantage. I'm fairly new so in my levels I suspect there are tons of Googlers and I don't want to give them the time. I keep flipping to Gold-Silver-Gold because of them but that's just learning arc. Eventually I think when I have trained better it will work to my advantage far more often.
i used to play nm and got to 1200, but it was too annoying after some time because i sometimes get blackscreens which dont disappear after refreshing the page, only if i moved...
TrulyBuzzy started playing again and is grinding NM Duels. He's not too far behind, I think 1110 or there about right now.

I remember AGES ago when the world map would just be endless nondescript highways and ADW was created just so you'd see more interesting things . . . and now there's the opposite problem where world map heavily favors weird rounds and big cities and you never see typical roads and landscape (I think because of the upvote/downvote system). I sort of understand why GeoGuessr doesn't want to use user maps in official formats but they should hire staff or pay freelancers to make curated maps to their specifications rather than the current algorithm nonsense.

Yeah, I'm in the master-champion division area, and most people just turn to google if they face a better player. Its really annoying.

@@geographyview I decided to check the coverage for myself, you're right and I apologise - there's definitely a large and noticable Bgne flag down the road which you can easily reach in the timeframe. A somewhat central guess close to Rennes is completely reasonable and I stand corrected. Well played and good win
