I have a question, I have just purchased my own Canon 90D camera fitted with a kit 18-55 lens. Strangely during your work through, the lens started to rotate on its own and each time I pushed the menu button, I hear a click, sounded like I was taking a photo. Do you know why this is?
Great review! I own a 90D and I basically built my channel on it with many reviews and comparisons with different lenses. For me it's been a huge upgrade coming from the M50, which I still use as a back up camera. Even though I am going to get the EOS R or R6 sometimes in the next few months, I am going to sell my 90D and I'll keep making content with it and about it. Again...awesome video! Keep it up!

I do real estate videos and like to shoot in Manual like you do but moving from room to room there are lighting changes to deal with. My best fix it to set the ISO to AUTO and limit the Max ISO. Any thoughts would be apricated.

If downloading the cin-style to your canon just adjusts the contrast / strength, couldn’t you just do that adjustment yourself in settings like you did previous to the download ? Or is there more the download is doing ?

Thanks for your inciteful presentation. I noticed that when I engage the video mode (which I thought that I should use for live streaming), the hdmi out 'disconnects' ( no signal). To stream I have to use the camera mode which eventually times out. How can I solve this challenge? Thanks.

Hi there. Thanks for your video. I’m a skipping and golf instructor and do a lot of videos on my own...how do I focus in both video and picture mode when taking photos/videos of myself? Can’t get it right?

Best best is to turn on face tracking in auto, or to simplify it, set focus to where you will be standing while at a F5.6 aperture and you should not have an issues :)

What camera did you film this video with?
The video helps a lot but is I am still up in the air. As a videographer, the eos R has limited capabilities but does have a C-log which can be a big help when manipulating the color of the video. The Eos R also provides a more professional look. I have personally used the Eos R multiple times and love the image quality and the capabilities it can provide. The 90D does have a lot of advantages and overall is the better camera, especially being able to shoot in 120p and no crop in 4K. I happen to shoot mainly sports and music videos which only emphasizes the importance of 120p. When it comes down to it, I don't know if the 90D can replicates the same sense of professionalism and image as the Eos R.
The only problem I have is in a side by side video comparison, I prefer the Eos R video image over the 90D. Since I always prefer the EOS R image I can't see myself buying the 90D. Would love any thoughts or comments that can help me settle the debate?
You can get the C-log by installing a firmware and updating the firmware. I have used the 90D for about a year and all of my clients are very happy with the result of the 90D, also you can get a battery grip for the 90D

it is a decade old camera.. but good for basic photography ..you can get tonn of cheap lenses. remember it is apsc sensor

The crop 4K is higher quality than the no-crop 4K. So you gain something and lose something when switching between either mode

@@nareshmalla337 sadly, no c-log. there is a clog hack you can buy, personally, I think it looks bad. There is a huge color gamut shift

I personally have never had an over heating issue, but I live in canada and i rarely filmed for more than a few minutes at a time. Sorry, I could not be of more help

You have mentioned in another review before (concerning CANON 90D) saying this camera is not recommended for cinematic filmmakers due to the missing cinematic color profiles. Does this mean downloading this EOS utility would be a solution and therefore Canon 90D could be recommended for cinematic filmmakers?

Does the camera and its sensor handle videography well in the long term, or is there a high risk for creating hotpixel, deadpixel or sensodemage?
To be honest I've never tested it long term. But generally something like that would be covered by a insurance policy. if you get this for proffesional use its always best to get some sort of coverage . because hot pixels are random

What’s the better lens to use for videography with Eos 90D ? What you recommend from below:
1. 70-200mm f/4 NO IS USM
2. 17-40mm f/4 IS USM
3. 18-55mm f/4 STM

Sigma's 17-50mm f2.8 is quite good.

its pretty solid! it wont have over heating issues. And it will last a while, but if youre using it for proffesional work, i would suggest having 2-3 spare batteries

I just purchased my camera and I was trying to walk through the settings but my menu looks nothing like yours and I only have 2 pages. There is nothing that looks like your menu projected on 11:02. Is there something I am missing?
Could it be that your top dial is set to auto mode? Perhaps try turning it to manual (M) and try again.

I really can't make up my mind between the 90d and RP as I wanna do portrait and video I'm the future and I also wanna have it for at least 3 years all I keep hearing is crop is not good for portrait can I compensate for the crop in by judgement in the view finder
I love this questions! so full-frame does look more cinematic and gives you a specific look BUT only if you use the right lenses. I think a skilled photographer can make anything work, full-frame is SUCH a small part of the entire picture. I think its just portraits, why not get the Rp, but the Rp has many more limitations compared to the 90d.

In Tha Zone I would say if you are a beginner get a camera that does it all and that way you won’t feel limited the Fuji xt3 might be an even better fit for you! Crop sensor but great colours and fast speeds

if it's just for the 4k. honestly, if you do cinematic work or things where you are doing a lot of color grading, then yes. But if it's corporate or interview. then no! hope this helps. let me know if you have more questions!
