They ate steak, eggs, mash potatoes and gravy and then proceeded to chase for 10 more hours without a bathroom stop. That was the unbelievable part of Twister for me
POV: It's the early summer of 96, you had a long day doing work and feeding your niece & her friends. Seeing an old friend, then comes night. You just want to relax, so you turn on your TV and start reading a book right before bed, you hear on the news that a strong Tornado has touched down not to far away taking out a local drive-thru. You think nothing of it and go back to reading your book as your favorite movie starts playing, however you can feel the air go still even though it is windy outside. More windy than normal, the TV goes static and you get up from bed and hear your windchimes start singing as they blow in the wind that is becoming stronger and stronger by the second you watch. Louder and louder they sing. You get the urge to go in the basement. However your thought was interrupted but intensified at the same time as the sirens start going off, you start to panic and try to go downstairs however in a split second, the entire house morphs into a mangled piece of debris. You were on the stairs and now you are in the basement, under something heavy with your head & wrist bleeding, waiting to die. You stay there for an hour but feels like a year, you are too weak to move, too tired to wake up from this nightmare, too quiet to ask for help. You realize it is the end, until you hear two voices calling your name... "MEG!"
Love Wakita, OK! People were so friendly when I was there. For me it would be a great place to vacation again. Nothing really to be concerned about but the occasional storm.
What Sirens were heard in the 1996 film Twister they obviously used some sort of stock siren audio in Attack for it these are the real life sirens heard the ones most prominently heard is an ambience then a Federal Model 2 and last a Federal 3T22
I was in Wakita in 2018 (I believe) and they had the Model 5 and a 2906 on the SW side of town, another 2906 behind the buildings across from the Twister museum, and the M-10 on the water tower. The Whelens looked brand new then. The Model 2 and 2T22 near the middle and end of the video look to be from Caldwell, KS, just to the NE of Wakita.
@@AWT5020 Cladwell, Kansas is not very far away from Wakita, Oklahoma. I assume to the north and northeast because that is likely where the supercell went after going over Wakita, OK
I hope Aunt Meg has rebuilt her home after the 96 outbreak. I hear her steak & eggs breakfast is a storm chaser favorite!
the site of the house has been turned into a park
@@Zilatran haha lol.

Look at you roaming through wakita with the sirens in the background. Ah so many twister vibes best movie ever glad it still appears on TV to this day
I can’t tell which is creepier, the sky or the sirens.

yooooo at 0:42-0:43 you can catch a glimpse of the twister museum!
That's right!
@@NZPChasers i've REALLY been wanting to go there, hopefully someday i can

I hear a Sterling M5 or 10, Model 2?, 3/2T22.
Roger that.
Its a Sterling Mounted at the water tower you can see the water tower with the siren
Hi. Awesome video! When was this recorded?
It looks to hit Wakita head on
Which city is the last part in? That last siren sounds to be a 2T22 but Wakita only has M-10, Model 5, and a 2904.

Where was the night video located?
You can see there's a Sterling going off mounted at the water tower
those model 2s are so eerie
I was today-years old when I learned that Wakita is in Oklahoma, NOT in Kansas. Can't tell if that was from Twister, or just plain-old assuming.
Ohhh my gosh, those sirens are creepy ☹️
Be careful! There could be an F5 tornado heading your way!
Tornado sirens are terrifying!😩
You can barely make out the sterling m-10 on the right side of the water tower
More than half of this video appears to be filmed in Kansas.
Wakita is close to the OK/KS border.
@@iceresistance Yeah but most of the video was in Caldwell, Kansas

0:00 there is a Sterling M on the water tower, look VERY close
It's been replaced by a whelen
The sterling m5 has been replaced by a whelen

@@polandball7482 Mhm, Wakita uses a Sterling Model M from the 1920s
The first scene is high pitched FS 2001s
Wakita does not have 2001s. It is a 16/16 port Sterling M
Ironic
I like the sound of the 3T22. I think i could see an STH 10 on the right at 1:12
No. Not even close
@@TheJakeman789 what was it??
@@Mayah_Abelman There wasn't an STH-10 there, though there was a model 2 somewhere in the area.

i heard a sentry under that water tower
