Just want to let it be known that I’m just an autistic kid with ADHD and I at times have a hard time controlling my emotions at times. I’m sorry about the heavy breathing in this video but please know that I am just a kid and it is hard for me to control my emotions at times. Please don’t leave any mean or annoying comments about my heavy breathing. Any mean or annoying comments will be removed. If you don’t like the video then please just simply leave it. Thanks for watching!
You're doing a good job kiddo! Appreciate your courage and time. I know how scary this can be. I'm happy you and your family are safe and happy. Take care!
I came across your page and checked out this video. I have an autistic daughter who also has interest in weather. She is a storm spotter and certified now. She's 21. Keep up on the path you choose and never give up because it's achievable. Your AMAZING!!!!❤
i have autism, too, and one of my main special interests has been tornadic storms, ever since i was six - while i find them fascinating from a distance, if i have to encounter them in person, i suffer anxiety attacks. it's a very natural response to fear, and your response was perfectly reasonable, as this was a very frightening situation. this was a great video, and you did very well; i love home videos, like this. also, i have that exact cave spider plush!
There is no need to apologize. I have an anxiety disorder. I'd definitely be breathing the same way. That weather scares me to death. Great job on this video
I live in Alabama and we get our fair share of tornadoes. I'm also a trained storm spotter. I find that the more you understand the beast, the less anxiety. I see you looking at radar, understanding the dynamics of tornadoes (seeing a wall cloud and even understanding what that is) and I'd say you're doing a fantastic job! 😊
I have ADHD and anxiety as well I definitely know how you feel when stuff like this happens I'm an advanced level skywarn spotter with the national weather service and it's definitely scary when u hear the words TORNADO ON THE GROUND
Thank you for the video, I know I would be so scared too even the siren sounds so eerie. We don't have severe weather that much here in Finland at least it is very rare and we call them Trombi's and mostly F1 or F2 thou there has been few F4 too but it is extremely rare .I am so glad you are ok. Stay safe❤
Its definitely intense when a really bad storm comes! I went through a really bad storm on May 25th 2011 and one of the big trees right across the street from my house slammed to the ground and I sprinted downstairs after that! Could hear a lot of commotion outside while hiding under the stairs! The sky was green before the storm hit and I was running back to my house from a friends house before things got crazy! It was an interesting night for sure! There was an 8 out of 10 chance for a tornado in my area that night!
I don’t blame you, I would be flipping out also ! I have never seen a tornado in person before but I don’t want to either! The first time we get a tornado 🌪️ warning and I hear the alarm going off I’m going into my laundry room downstairs. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
I’m autistic too and love tornadoes but am absolutely horrified of them too haha. I think my response would be very similar if there were a confirmed tornado near me.
Thank you. My 20 year old son has mild autism and ADHD too. He suffers rom anxiety at times. I am glad you are safe. We live in Michigan. You did a great job on this. Where did your Mom get the hand held weather radio?
I actually got the radio with my birthday money. I got it at Walmart. Not sure how much it cost but im pretty sure it was less than 50. Thanks for watching!
I can see why you were worried. The siren ambience in this video is the stuff of nightmares. I'm glad you didn't get hit. We had a tornado warning here in Ohio on February 28th (Yes, Really.) at around 5:15 AM. An EF2 touched down and passed very close to us. It caused some pretty severe damage to some houses, but thankfully, no one was killed. We were lucky to have not been hit.
@@iowaacproductions698 Yeah, because I live in MI and we barely get tornadoes, but the other day we got a tornado watch, but never know tornado thank you so much your channel is the best. And one of your videos can I please get a shout out
Pretty much most of the eastern part of the Midwest got severe weather including my area. There was several confirmed tornadoes in my state and several others in other states along with hail as big as baseballs.
i feel you on anxiety. I live in Oregon and we have small twisters i had anxiety during these storms as i don't have a basement i live in a trailer park. however had a small f1 go over and touch down few miles from me at my old house i grew up at. hope you were ok. i feel you on anxiety.
That almost happened when I was at home a few times. I checked the sky 2 see if there was a funnel cloud, but, could not see it anywhere, because, it was 2 dark 2 see the thing
Appreciate your video. You don’t have to have ADHD to have this reaction. I’ve been there! In 2016 my home was hit by a strong EF3, 162 winds, damaged it bad, been without my beautiful home since. Neighbors not on this earth anymore. My breathe was somewhat like yours, as a lot of peoples has been and will be faced with this terror. Katherine gave great advice. Learn all you can about the weather, that’s what I did. One will not sneak up on me again!!! Hopefully anyway!! Keep your mind focused on the things you need to do and your family ti say safe. A back back that you always have prepared when bad weather is forecasted, with essentials in it. Keep your mind very focused on the radar, and being ready to go to your safe place. This truely helps. Was faced with this again just a couple of mounts ago, and Easter Sunday, 2020. I live in Tenn, close to Chatt. God bless you and know He’s got you. No human can control tornadoes, but He will help us through them. 🙏🙏🙏
It's a scary situation when you're in a High Risk and a big tornado on the ground. At least got a cool ambience of Whelen WPS-4004 or Vortexes. Glad you're safe.
Feel sorry for all Americans that have to go through what you go through and not get any FREE medication and or FREE help. My nephew (15) has ADHD ans Aspergers as well, we are in the UK. No need to apologize buddy. Take care.
Did you happen to see the tornado or atleast get pounded with hail? Also I dont mind the heavy breathing, dont let people tell you what they want you to do 😊
Omg I don't know what I would of done if I lived out there and experienced this. All my life I've been waiting in lousy NYC to film a tornado but I wouldn't know how to react if I actually filmed one. This video is intense and scary. Esp with the sirens going off.
i understand bc im autistic too on 5/11/22 when a TOR warning was issued for WBL first i wanted to hear the thunderbolt 1003 then i had second thoughts about it after I went upstairs then i heard the wind gusts I ran downstairs FYI: it was a derecho/ squll line
Did you not watch the video? I have and went to our shelter once the storm got closer. In our house the storm shelter is in the storage room by the furnace.
I feel the storms to honey .. They scare me as well.. We may not have the power to stop the storms .. BUT GOD does .. DO as I do .. When you get scared , Pray that God leads the storm away .. He will do that for you ... :) Promise ! He does it for me ...

I am also a storm spotter in central Illinois we have had at least 127 tornadoes all ready just in Illinois

How many tornadoes do you guys get a year?
Usually around 50 a year our state averages. Our peak normally occurs in May but summertime thunderstorms can be severe too.

How Loud Are Those Tornado Sirens.
They’re pretty loud.
Kiddo there are so many adults including myself that lose it way more over things that mean a lot less. Keep up the good work and keep smiling!!
I was watching the radar that day. I was shocked how big the tornado that was east near Hedrick. I use to live in Ottumwa in 2013.
Hey man you did alright, you lived right? The whole situation with tornados can change in an instant. Good job.
I would definitely be breathing heavy too im interested but scared as hell of tornados
Was this mustang I mean I’m proud of you hearing the sirens be safe I love your video

We have Whelen WPS-2800s.
Sad for you looks really stresfull having a huge nado near you
Yeah it was rated an EF4 that tracked into southern Johnson county. Thanks for watching!
Those sirens sound like the Duluth. Minnesota sirens. th-cam.com/video/S07jjjIQ2Ks/w-d-xo.html
They sound like the ones in Columbus OH aswell.
I dread that siren every time I hear it. 😢

It sounds like there's Omnidirectional Whelens as well as the Vortexes, I'm gonna assume those are West Des Moines' Vortexes you can hear.
@@HSETM These aren’t in West Des Moines, this is in Johnson county. There are a few Vortexes around here but not any omnidirectional I don’t think.

WHY aren't people putting their vehicles in the garage during hailstorms and tornadoes? ~~
Tornado warnings so scary
