    I got close to 0 experience with wood working but a lot with 3d-printing and design and I must say that USSA's designs are freaking awesome. You can clearly tell he is very experience at both crafts and knows how to combine to 2 into a well engineered product. If I ever have the space to start with wood working I will definitely try out his stuff.

    I've always wondered if the downstairs neighbors don't go completely mad with all the noise from the routers.

      The building I live in, has one apartment per floor, and I live on the top floor. There are two girls living on the floor below me, they work during the day, so that’s when I create all the noise))

    The dust collection part is what's missing at almost every other router lift, and would be a real reason to think about getting one like this.
    Now let's just add a few more details - a pivoting function (as with the Pivoting Router Lift OFL3.0 from sautershop), and make the hight/depth controlled via electric motors (for example in the mlcs router lift)...

    Согласен с комментом ниже: хоть и не работаю с деревом, но купить захотелось :) Подано всё очень вкусно, проблематика и её решение понятны. В общем как всегда - прекрасный выпуск с титанической проделанной работой.

    3:15. You want to take on a project like this, you're going to want your own printer. These print services are over the top $$$, and one decent project like this will pay for the printer. Save the services for the exotic stuff, like metal fab. Also, for what it's worth to people, Bambu > FLSun, 💯.

    Cool presentatoi. Very USSA ;) ...but at that price point I don't think it has achieved the goal. Why not just buy a Triton?
    For a small router I would probably go with the openlift instead.

    • @alimp_designs
      @alimp_designs  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      If you don’t have a router yet, and don’t care about dust collection, and you are okay with it being corded, and also okay with paying 460$ for that, then yeah, triton should work. But openlift costs the same as ROM from this video, which I think is much better designed, why would you go with openlift?

    • @tcurdt
      @tcurdt 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@alimp_designs Let's not compare Apples and Oranges. The Makita (250 EUR) and ODYSSEY (265 EUR plus shipping) cost more than 515 EUR. The Triton is 400 EUR and has much more power and adding dust collection does not seem to be a bigger problem.
      Why would anyone NOT go corded when inside a table? That's a weird argument.
      The ROM has some nice features and is only mildly more expensive but can you point to where you see it superior to the OpenLift?

    Do you sell for hercules full size router?

    • @alimp_designs
      @alimp_designs  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      i couldn't find it's dimensions, but the 3d printable lift's diameter is 70mm tops, it's for smaller routers. For the production model it's yet to be decided.

      @@ankitroy3319 at the beginning I think it’s better to nail the basic stuff. 1. How to make it compact and fit every electronic thing in a small box. 2. Color temperature and brightness adjustment. 3. Beautiful forms and surfaces. 4. And the most important one, how the light itself works, is it nicer when reflected off something or diffused.. etc
