More people need to watch videos like this so they can see how much work goes into making custom cakes and why they are more expensive. Store bought cakes are just not the same. Thank you Karolyn. ❤
I am new here 😊 i enjoy doing cakes as a hobby for family events. I'm definitely an amateur though!! Could you pleaseee teach me how to make a stacked cake that id level & has beautiful sharp edges with the buttercream!! I would love to learn. & i would be soo grateful for the help 😊🙏🤞
So funny how rainbow unicorns is such a big theme. 😂 but I just realized I might need to do this theme for my daughters 4th birthday this year 😂😂😂 she's into unicorns lol
Love watchingyour videos. I've made girlie cakes for most of my cake decorating years - after arrival of a grandson I will need to brush up on boy designs. X
Can I ask your advice on the rainbows please. I made a rainbow and left it to dry, then when I went to lift it off the board and put it on the cake, it cracked. I was so sad. How can I prevent this?
Did you use marshmallow fondant with the tylose powder? Or did you use store bought fondant? If you used store bought fondant, that may be your issue as I find that store bought fondant doesn't set as hard as marshmallow fondant!
Hey Lady. Question. Are you still rockin’ your Canon TS702 or 700 series? If so-has it ever given you ‘test pages’ showing okay but-WILL NOT print your documents? Just askin’ because I have brand new cartridges, have cleaned the heads and nozzle maintenance-test pages print but can’t get my icing sheets to print now. Now of course I know you’re not a Canon tech but just thought I’d ask you. Thanks ‘K’.
I made these fondant decorations this afternoon and attached them to my whipping cream cake then put decorated cake to the fridge but now I saw all the fondant decorations is melting. Please help me to fix them asap cuz tomorrow is my daughter's birthday. Is that because I did not let the fondant decorations dry out?
Oh no! I usually make decorations like this a few days in advance so they have time to really dry out and get hard. Also, I only use American Buttercream. From what I've heard, whipped icing doesn't really hold up as well to fondant decorations. Sorry that happened to you!

This approach is much more manageable. I like it.
The big unicorns are scary to put together because of the weight 😱😅
I agree!
@@KarolynsKakesI forgot to mention! The Dollar Tree has 50pk. Boba straws for $1.25. That’s a big savings from the straws I’ve been getting. 😄

I explain torting in this video! th-cam.com/video/EKYwT0TKJnM/w-d-xo.html
It's when you cut a cake layer in half lengthwise to get two thinner layers.

Does your fondant "sweat" when you take it out of the fridge?
It does if my house isn't cold enough! Here's a video where I talk about it:

I'm pretty sure Unicorns don't have arms and feet ! 😀
😂😂
Don't you have a thing where you'll do a video chat with me? If so, how do I get on that list?
