If you added too much water to the spackle (I suggest using a spray bottle filled w water, then spritz a little at a time), you can then add regular flour ( I tend to end up not using all the flour I buy for my own kitchen and when it expires I use it for fake bakes & other crafts that use flour or you can buy a small bag at Dollar Tree bc you dont need a lot) to it to thicken it up. Sometimes when you add paint to it, it can water it down too, then itll spread and collapse like the blue frosting did :) Hope that helps!
oh i love this, so cute and fluffy and satisfying :))) the irony is that for crafts you want to make frosted cakes look as amateur and rough as possible (so the frosting looks realistic), but when frosting real cakes (even the cute bento kind) you want to make it look as smooth as possible LOL
I laughed so hard when you couldn't open the boxes, but in a 'that would happen to me' way. They are still cute and i can't wait to try these!🍰 Pd: i just read the "so functional!" on the thumbnail and it made it funnier
i didn't read the title and clicked on the video thinking it was real cakes cause i needed to make one for my mom's birthday then i saw and realized, i didn't click off, watched the whole 12 min video. I can conclude and say it was a very fruitful use of my time
Thank u so much for this!!! I saw a 🍃 grinder and little locket box on instagram that were decorated like vintage cakes but they were out of my price range so I’ve resorted to making them for myself!!
The totally real cakes look amazing but I have a few tips for next time 1 try spreading the patch n paint with a knife so it can be easier to spread 2 if you don’t have gouache paint then you can use food coloring or just paint 3 if you are good with the piping try adding lots of details 4 if it’s your first time doing it try watching more videos so you can see what’s happening 5 it won’t look perfect still try your best and practice 6 more tips added soon
This is sooo lovely! I only know dap cos of their plaster of Paris that went semi viral on arttok a while ago now i must try thid product and make crafts with it! Tysmm your boxes are all so beautiful 😭💟💟💟
I literally made one when I saw it I’d also suggest if your spackling is really stiff I’d recommend adding water to it Do NOT add water if its already smooth it really depends on the brand tbh
If you have a higher budget/are working on a smaller scale, you could use modeling paste to avoid the grainy texture and get a more convincing 'iceing'
Also also if a budget were to permit it Id recomend priming your boxes woth a white paint/paint similar to the color of your frosting to prevent seeing the cardboard
This is perfect in an exaggerated way. I can't believe that this beautiful thing is your action. I really want to try it, but I am afraid that it will be terrible💖!
I feel like stuff made by someone else looks better to us because it’s not our own work where we immediately judge ourselves and see every imperfection. But looking at others you see the final piece and it looks effortlessly perfect. Go for it! And if it’s not to your standard you can also try again!
@@lucyheartfilia9077 This is true. I always like to try new things, but I get frustrated if the result is not what I expected, and this made me afraid to try something new and try to change this thinking because it is not good.
@@lucyheartfilia9077 It is normal that the first experience is not amazing, and just like other people do it perfectly, we are supposed not to compare ourselves to them because they are professionals, and certainly their first work was a failure..we have to try and not give up, that is the idea
That Patch N Paint looks dangerously edible
I know when I was younger i got a gift and it had the patch in paint and it was a fake diy cupcake kit and I really wanted to eat it

Also, I find using the Dollar Tree spackle tend to crack
Won't the flour mold?

The totally real cakes look amazing but I have a few tips for next time
1 try spreading the patch n paint with a knife so it can be easier to spread
2 if you don’t have gouache paint then you can use food coloring or just paint
3 if you are good with the piping try adding lots of details
4 if it’s your first time doing it try watching more videos so you can see what’s happening
5 it won’t look perfect still try your best and practice
6 more tips added soon

I'd recommend using painters tape so that you get clean edges and the boxes close easily!

it so cute
What’s the “frosting” made of ?
I literally made one when I saw it
I’d also suggest if your spackling is really stiff I’d recommend adding water to it
Do NOT add water if its already smooth it really depends on the brand tbh
Why is it look so cute and edible likee😍😍
so cuteee
I wanna have my own that looks fun!
maybe add baker to your list of future careers? AHHAHAHAHH ITS SO PRETTY
It looks cute :)
I literally love that you used a ramune bottle to pour the water 😭
So cute 😍👏🏼
If you have a higher budget/are working on a smaller scale, you could use modeling paste to avoid the grainy texture and get a more convincing 'iceing'
Id also recomend useing painters tape or maskeing tape around the overlap for the lids to get a clean edge
Also also if a budget were to permit it Id recomend priming your boxes woth a white paint/paint similar to the color of your frosting to prevent seeing the cardboard
All in all very cute!!! I like the idea a lot, i might try makeing some too...
Yesss thank you for the tips
sooo adorable :3
i put a bit of water and it worked perfectly and much smoother
The forbidden snack
너무 귀여워요!
great job!
Please answer this : rather than using lightweight spackling, can I use texture paste instead?
I think u can add a little of water to it because that's how I remember it's used when applied on walls
OMG these look so cute and it literally looks like real cake!!! 😍💗✨
I like the most is cinmrool
LOS AMOOOOOOO!!!!😻😻😻💖
Ohhhhh this is so cute…. I want an edible one now
So cute
Kyaaa so cute 😍
If you paint it the piping sticks better to the wet paint.
