I cant give you enough praise for being so transparent with your viewers about your mistakes or difficulties. Almost every other baking or cake related channel I see skips over the difficult parts to makes it look simple and perfect which in turn makes us feel like we're doing something wrong and a lot of times makes us give up. Don't misunderstand, you are obviously ridiculously skilled and have abilities that far exceed most, but its nice to know you are just like the rest of us in the sense that you practiced, it took time to get where you are and it CAN be done. It makes you a very trustworthy and positive content creator who I believe is truly in this to help aspiring decorators, bakers and small business owners rather than just being here to cash in on our anxiety and frustrations like other TH-camrs. I just love you ❤. Also, you AND your Lucky Charms cake look absolutely GORGEOUS! Thanks again for all you do, Karolyn!
Jesse!! This is SO sweet, thank you so much for taking the time to write this to me! I’ve felt the way you have when watching other decorators work and have thought that something was wrong with me because I wasn’t perfect. I actually thought that the highly successful and popular cake decorators never have issues and it was all rainbows and unicorns for them. But I wanted to be as transparent as possible on my channel because this is my reality. Things don’t always go right. I don’t love everything I make. I cry and get anxious. But I want to show you all that’s part of the process. I’m grateful for you, thank you honey!
SO AWESOME! Looks great! U are the professional, I am NOT. I do cakes for family/friends only (it's my happy place)! BUT I have a done a similar cake & I have a tip that could help u speed it up a bit for you. Use a smooth layer of saran wrap (cling film) around the balloon instead of oil. It worked perfectly & easily for me AND it keeps the chocolate food safe. I hope that helps u w/cakes in the future, cause ur videos have helped me so MUCH💙🫶🏼💙. My friends & family benefit from what I've learned from you.😂 Thank you!
I love your patience and you show us how difficult it can be and how to rectify it .that why your work are so perfect its goes with patiant and passion.i enjoy watching your videos i learn so much.thank you for sharing.
You always bring something new and creative to the group. I always learn something new from you. You're not afraid to show us what worked versus what didn't work. I would love a Captin Cruch berry cereal lol. Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
Hahaha… I would have lost it when trying to get the drip on the balloon.. you did a great job and patience was needed for this design..It’s as cute as can be !
Hi Karolyn. I love watching your videos as I learned so much. I just had a question. You had explained regarding the different sizes of a tier cake depending on the amount of guests. But what I wanted to know is that if I have to make for example a 3D cake, how do I know how much cake I need for that cake? Could you help me with this doubt?
I rarely make 3D cakes, so I may not be that much help in this department. I guess it all depends on what you're making. And also remember that you carve away some of the cake, so whatever pans you're using will yield less servings.

Super cute cake. I did one like this but with chocolate chip cookies. Those chocolate drip bowls/splashes… 😑
They really are a little challenging to make! I hope I get another order so I can try it again.
Just FYI wrap, the ballon in Saran Wrap then you can the bowl and avoid latex allergies.
Great tip, I haven't seen that anywhere. Thank you!
