The thing is, in basketball for example height very often is an advantage just because the hoop is high up in the air, but for football players the ball is most of the time on the ground which usually doesn't really give short people a disadvantage, the advantage short players have on the other hand is that they have a lower centre of gravity and are probably more coordinated which makes the good on the ball, attackers are often shorter that defenders even though there are taller attackers Ronaldo at 6'2 is an example. Messi wouldn't be so good on the ball if he was ronaldos height because his legs would be so much longer and everything would take more time. So footballers height are pretty much average height. At the highest level where the physicality is the highest I'd say average is pretty much 5'11

Different positions have different heights. For ex. Sergio Ramos is a centre back(defender) so he would be one of the tallest players on the pitch as defenders are the tallest along with strikers. Then wingers and midfielders and fullbacks are usually around average height, or sometimes shorter at like 5'7 or 5'8

in football all club teams release new jerseys every season with the home/main jersey being the same colour ( in this case madrid's main/home jersey colour is white) and they 2 more away jerseys which are different colours every season and they wear the away when they go to another team's stadium and the other team's home colour is white.
