Opening your biggest gig to date with an instrumental and a B side is a baller move. Not really: its was lead track on Giants and b side was a huge fan fave: since white room sessions

I was 17 and got There and Then on VHS for Christmas. Spent hours rewinding the chord changes trying to work out what Noel was doing during the chorus as I first learned guitar - because of Oasis. Tambourine smash by Liam and raw, screeching lead to the chorus - I thought these guys were the coolest motherf*****s I'd ever seen. Personified being a teenager in the 90s - Liam looks like he's been f***ed for a year. Doesn't matter - mad fer it, always. Birds, booze, first car and the best guitar music for decades. Gen X didn't have machete attacks, widespread mental illness or 'climate change' - we had BritPop, Euro 96, Vic and Bob and Mr Blobby. Life was sweet as.
The sad part is that this scene in 2025 will have 85% of the crowd with their phones up recording the opener instead of jumping up and down and going insane.
Someone once pointed out that it sounds like he's singing "sleeping in arsehole" and now I can't unhear it. Best UK 90s band hands down. Oasis are legends.

it's their best song with Slide Away and Champagne Supernova.
8 minutes of ROCK N ROLL GREATNESS right here
They have to open the reunion with this
ABSOLUTELY
THIS! I'D LOSE MY MIND!
It has to has to be Columbia when they are coming up to the stage, then open with Swamp Song and Acquiesce

people dont appreciate noel guitar playing enough, he's plenty good
Crazy to think songs like Acquiesce were just a B side. It's good enough for any album.
