    come on man. The Joby has a purpose, it can even out uneven surfaces, it can wrap arpund stuff, yes it comes at a cost of mechanical wear over time but its a product in its own catagory. These cheap chinese clones are not the same thing

    If anyone has been or knows about Scotland, the last thing on earth a product would be called is a Joby....believe me!

    Love the intro - who where those 3 good looking guys - love the Mantis and the way it feels in your hand is great even with my Canon R3 plus I did not know about the wrist strap and bridge is back again - cheers H

    Great video Sam! Love your content! I stopped using the gorilla pod when it went off balance and my gh5 hit the table lens first. I've used the $30 manfrotto mini tripod since, but this tripod looks promising too. You are right though, when it comes to vlogging, especially for extended periods of time, minimizing the weight is so important!

    We have this tripod and it’s great, only drawback is that it’s too light for our setup.
    Our set up
    Sony A7iv
    16-35 gym
    We’re travelling Asian and will swap it for the joby

    Hope that guy you threw the tripod at was ok 😂
    Love how the joby tripod bends around everything, but the mantis pod has all the modes.
    Can’t go wrong with either tbh!
    I really need to get to Sherwood Pines one of these days to explore! Looks like you had fun, strong guy!
    I’m tempted with both. Argh.
    Great video again you legend.

    Nice. For vlogging this is clear, but if I’m mainly looking for still photography which do you recommend? I do take a lot of long exposures on hikes so I mount on rocks, tree branches, mounds, etc.. and I borrow my brothers gorillapod but the build quality of the mantis pod entices me. When mounted on let’s say a branch in mantis mode, is it pretty secure? I see it works on a thin fence but can the claws clamp vertically on something a bit thicker like a branch?

  • @AaronOverEverything
    @AaronOverEverything ปีที่แล้ว

    SwitchPod over ALL though.. due to the ergonomics.. & overall build quality…

    Hows the weight with the joby when mounting a full frame mirrorless camera though while vlogging? Cant imagine it being less than 5lbs and not straining the shoulder.
