Sad how I remember watching this event back in 2011.
I was living in Asia at the time this happened. Still am. When I show the locals this stuff and tell them it was over a hockey game and tell them this happened in my hometown, they all did a double take.

but serious F these rioters. I lived in Vancouver then, and am a Bruins fan. Was a scary time to be there.

Well, I forgive them all already. I mean, some people express embarrassment, shock, disappointment, but all I can say is, I know human nature, and nothing surprised me one bit.
A remarkable young man. It's uplifting to learn how he managed to get himself on the right path early enough in life.

There should've been words on a board so beautiful like "The Bruins are the team where everybody knows your name. So are the Canucks! -from the Cheers theme".
I could be wrong, but I get the sense he came from a goid home. So even though he made poor decisions that night, his relatively good upbringing also helped him turn around and learn.

Stanley Cup Riots seem to be a rite of passage for people in BC!
1982 - Boomers (Albeit at a far, far smaller scale than what the later two editions would be like)!
1994 - Gen X'ers
2011 - Millennials
It would be interesting to see if/when the Zoomers will have their own version of it! Besides, Stanley Cup Finals earn the greatest global media mileage when people riot over it (basically free marketing especially in places where hockey isn't exactly a thing) - and the NHL is OVERDUE for another one! 🤣🤣🤣
I never even knew about this riot or a Stanley Cup because I am not a hockey fan….. but to those Canada people or wherever they came from, that was part of the riot don’t be ashamed of it now ……you were loud and proud having pics taken ….. don’t hide your face now….. That’s like people using the N-word in the game Call of Duty but when in PUBLIC won’t say it with such venom unless behind a computer screen. Now I’m watching 30 for 30 and laughing at the one’s scared to show their face. Also using excuse people were doing it, it was like peer pressure, means you are weak…. So when you look in the mirror, just know that you’re a weak individual….. everyone involved should get a two-year prison sentence no parole no good behavior. But I’m sure all punishment has been dealt out many many years ago. I am just learning about this today. LOL
Maybe show some gumption and cover the riots that have been happening in 2020 and 2021
