You are such a joy to watch. I went thrifting today at Goodwill. Senior day...30 percent off, YAY. I then came home and watched several of your videos. Love the accent. I share that southern drawl. I live in Tennessee.
I loved the picture of the white church and the little rooster pitcher. Just found you a few days ago and have been watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your thrifs with us.
Haha. Yes I guess I did. He’s so cute. I think I’ll do what another subscriber said and plant a succulent after the candle burns all the way down. Thank you for watching 😊
I I absolutely love shopping with you. Your a big inspiration to me. Since I've been watching and following you, I've started restyling my home. I'm a big thrifted also, love it, would go everyday if I could. I would have picked the little rooster up and made a basket for my table. Also, I need help in window styling, please help.
At 3.40 there is a gold colored glass decanter that made my heart skip a beat! 😱 And I’m not sure where in my dining room it would go, but I would love to see it on a pedestal kinda wooden plate/bowl surrounded by grapes or an oversized candle ring of some kinda green leaves. BTW, my DR is all Italian decor, and the colors are all golds, rusts, and greens...like autumn leaves. I did it for my husband who being a proud Italian loves everything Italian. Great video!! 🥰❤️😊
I found that same amber oil lamp without it's glass at 6:44 and I love mine! I'm currently on the hunt for more oil lamps so I liked the bigger one you came across too!
Hi! Love that you, all, travel 🚙 to thrift! 😀 I liked the crochet sham, and those black & white chairs 🪑🪑were stunning! I wash & dry my baskets🧺 the same; but, I use Murphy's Oil Soap.🧼 Does a nice job, too. Thanks for sharing! ❤
I LOVE the rooster candle. You put things together so cute. You can tell how much you love doing this. I love it too ! Please tell your subscriber Patrica, that the rooster candle is all mine. LOL
You bought what I would have purchased; the little white bird that you gave to a friend. I like birds. ALSO, thanks for the basket washing lesson. That will make me feel so much better about bringing baskets home.
5:40 On the bottom of that stack is a lap table, set across your armchair for eating/paperwork etc. I have one like that, bought from an inexpensive catalogue, but I recently bought a better quality one for $12 at an estate sale. My Granddaughters can eat on it in my glider chair when they come over, and I've done Hospice paperwork while watching TV!---When was this episode filmed? The post date shows June, yet no one is wearing masks.---13:23 A perfect mug for a small plant (ie: jade!)---16:09 I bought two pillows like that one at a garage sale, in dark sage color (my living room is done in the colors I loved around Seligman Arizona!), then went back and bought the other two in brown for my Sister's living room! Some of our pillows are purchase specifically for putting brooches on that we've accumulated (either heirlooms, or purchased), but those squishy pillows are not suitable for that!
Ok my daughter and I definitely want to be part of your family now. Fancy two tag-alongs with great sense of humour and cute English accents?! We miss Texas & Goodwill so much! ❤️
I loved the Faith sign in the first store and the Ricota pot. That big red jar was way to pricy!!!! So many pillow choises! Love the pick nick bascet. I love the cute rooster you found!
I would’ve bought the 3 tiered wooden candle sticks grouped & fastened together on the wooden base & decorated them with Christmasy things like pine cones & tree strands candles ect .maybe painted it white. Also the green wicker sleigh was cute for Christmas 💚🎄♥️
I would have bought that rooster mug for my rooster collection. And also that light green pumpkin jar with the lid. Could use some fall decor. Love these thrift alongs.
I always find something at Angelic. I was there the first day of reopening, as they unlocked the door. Two shelves of Mason jars for pressure canning. I cleared them ..almost a hundred jars. I couldn't list all the good, useful or pretty things I've gotten over the last few years. The decor are probably the aisles I spend the least time in.. I've got so much already.
OHMYGOODNESS... that first thrift store was incredible in its selection and organization. I was literally drooling! I definitely would have picked up that amber colored glass jug and probably put some sort of dried flowers in it. I would more than likely put it in out family room or kitchen. I also would have snagged that large pot that you saw at the Good Will that you said you should have gotten... that was gorgeous! Some of those prices at Good Will were a bit ridiculous... here in VA they do the same thing and I just shake my head. Thanks for sharing another great Thrifting Adventure... I sure did enjoy going along for the ride!
Thank you so much for your sweet words! Our family is very down to earth. Like, sit on the patio, watch it rain and drink coffee for fun kind of family lol.
I just love watching your channel! Also love that your girls have the same passion for thrifting as you do, wish my girls did😊 but I myself recently starting thrifting now for like 3 years. Can’t wait to see more of your videos💕
The Roster thingy! ... I don't want to overdo the roster thing but must say I loved that. The one thing I do have in the house here is tons of storage, so cold store it and change things out.
I just stumbled across your videos and have been binge watching them all, lol. I subscribed so I wouldn't lose track of them in the vast rabbit hole of youtube. I am enjoying them so much! I think it's funny that just as I think ooh that is cute, you pick up the item and check the price, lol. You don't always buy that thing, but literally everything you buy I think is beautiful, hahaha. I am so envious of your thrift stores too, where I live we don't have many, the items are more junky and are very over priced. In this particular video I loved so many things, but for some reason that gold sofa caught my eye. Anyway, thank you for your time in producing this content, you have a beautiful family!
So fun seeing your family thrifting with you! I pick up ceramic pieces like your rooster and plant succulents in them to gift or sell. Praying for Elizabeth to heal soon! Sh’s the sweetest! 🥰
When we go to visit family every year in NC, we always make a couple trips to the Goodwill bins together (the nearest one to us is 3 hours away. 😩). We LOVE to share our hauls with each other when we get back to the house! So, I totally understand! ☺️
Julie, a quick tip that was given to me by a fellow thrifter. When purchasing cloth items (pillows, blankets, clothes, scarves any type of cloth item) use 91% alcohol in your washer. I put it where I would add bleach. Along with my detergent. Not only does it help sanitize but kills any microscopic bugs!
I love those curtains that you were looking at they looked like they were blackout curtains and then you looked up at some pillows and I like to make pillows with those curtains because it's a heavier material I can sit it on my couch Department even sit it outside if you wanted to make pillows with it
That brass(?) urn/pitcher thing you were looking at in Angelic Resale would have been in my cart in a heartbeat! I'm very much into Boho/Moroccan decor and that would have looked cute in the bedroom with some fake flowers in it. Hope Elizabeth is healing up well and isn't too bored. I look forward to going thifting again at some point.
I also love the picture frames I have or when I do at Christmas time is I get some really nice picture frames at thrift stores you know Goodwill's all that antique stores but a good price sometimes and then what I do is I take what is the holiday gift bags like if you got a big picture or 11:11 by 14 or 8 x 10 what I do is I'll take a picture off of one of those bags and then what I'll do then is take the fairy lights and put in the back of them or it looks like stars or something that needs to light up or anything like that and then put a bow on it you know I I I love making bows but yeah oh they're beautiful they're beautiful
I would have gotten the 3 mounted on a base wooden candlesticks, piece underneath the FAITH sign and the amber jug and maybe the amber oil lamp. I have a retail space and my home that I thrift for. That little red dress would look so cute cowboy boots😱. I really enjoyed this video.
Ohh I wish we had an Angelic Resale here in Georgia. If there is I haven't found it ( at least not in our town). Now where do I begin? I love that little wood carved vase. And that ceramic Biscotti jar would look great in my kitchen , I've been looking for a cookie jar with my kitchen colors. I'll be typing all day if I name all the things I like.
I love shopping, but must admit I can't do it like I used to. So envy you having these kind of shops. In South Africa we don't have such places, l would be in my element. There is so much l see that if l was in the shop, I'd be in there all day. Love watching your videos. Pat
I would have purchased the wooden triple candle holder. Put three sizes of candles on it, accented with greenery, and placed on a plate or tray and placed in center of table or island.
Thank you for showing the art work - that is something I like to collect and display in my home, also linens, doilies, vintage table cloths, do you want me to continue? I wish you and your family peace!
I thought I'd like to have some of the candles to make new ones in the event of a power outage. So many are expensive, at regular price. I'll be looking for those this week if all goes according to plan.
That place is phenomenal. I would have bought so many things, especially the little green olive bowl. I use to have a whole set of that green plate in your sink, probably 50 years ago or longer.
I loved the fringed scarf, white bird, three wooden candle holder. I hate it when your videos are over. Lol. Could watch endlessly. Hope things are well with Elizabeth. God bless
Green tea pot, black chicken bottle, chicken pour pot are the 3 things I would have picked up. The prices were great. I also would have gotten the wooden 3 candle holder for $3 bucks.
OMG I just found you I love love love Good Will I can no longer go due. To many health issue and looking at 2 surgery's in August one neck then my very low back so I can't stand so once it's done and we'll look out Goodwill and thrift stores I'm coming Lubbock Texas 👵🐮🦋🌛🌞🌪️
I just recently found your channel and enjoy your shopping hauls. I’m from Kingwood, Tx and was curious to know what goodwill was that you were at in this video? Thanks, Anna
Just found your channel - thanks for pointing me toward the Angelic Resale Shop - I’ll have to check it out! Houston now has the Goodwill Outlet stores - two of them - where you pay for your stuff by the pound! I paid $3.72 a few weeks ago for about 12 articles of lightweight summer weight clothing. You can put “goodwill outlet houston” in google maps and both locations come up. Good luck and sending prayers to Elizabeth.
I really liked that beige rooster pitcher. I would put some greens I. It. I have no farm anything in my apartment, but I can like it anyway right? Blessings!
I would have wanted to buy one of those cookie jars, not that I need to keep cookies around me. Guess I'll keep using my bean pot til I get back out thrifting and find a cookie jar just right for me. I do have a Christmas cookie jar, but I don't want to use it until then. My sister, Betty gifted it to me a few years ago.
