Thifting is one of my most favorite things to do since I have started watching your videos,And I just love how you style things.Your home is absolutely beautiful.Have a blessed day ❤
lol.... "she's not working here anymore!" love it!!
That candlestick light would also look great with one of those larger antique-y Edison light bulbs.
Yes I agree the kitchen looks nice with the plates on the wall.
Thank you Linda!
If you don’t like the dress form in the house it would be cute in the garden with flowers growing on it or through it ❤️
The small wire frame "dress form" - I first thought that would look cute in the kitchen with a calico apron made just to fit.
Who would of thought plain old restaurant plates would look amazing on a kitchen wall . Well Julie would of course ! And the look amazing
Lol thank you Kathy! I love them.
Love lovelove it too
The wire dress form would look adorable in the kitchen with an apron on it and decorate it for the season
Love that you Love to Thrift and so do I…..Your personality……Taste and Home are Beautiful
Thank you Valerie!
Add some old tins of shoe polish with your shoe shine brush! 💚
Thank you! I love this!
Julie, the shoe shine box would look great with brushes but also, advertising old tins of products. I know you probably won't find them at thrift stores, mostly antique shops, but that would look so good because a shoe polish tin that is round would fit alongside a brush. You could sit it up, so that you would see the advertising. Just an idea I have seen done before.
That’s a great idea! Thank you so much!
and u have that great shoe shine wooden piece in your bathroom that you have shown us before!
I loved the wire dress form. It would look great in a sewing nook or sewing/crafting room!
I simply love that lamp since you painted the top black. No shade. Perfect and simple. Thank you for sharing with us. Made my day.
Thank you so much Leesa!
You are so creative with your thrifting. I really enjoyed your new family channel too🪴
Thank you so much Fran!
The dress form would be cute with jewelry or hair ties and the shelves with the shoe brush would be cute with an empty shoe polish can or bottle ❤️
Thank you! Yes I’ll be looking for little tins now. Great idea!
You could remove the two platters from above your oven and corner cabinet to fill the empty wall and replace with smaller plates as “accents “. Like maybe the blue and white Blue Willow or two really interesting pieces of copper? Just a thought.
Thank you Lynn. I might try it.
Love how you styled those big plates!!!
Thank you!
Julie, I love watching you videos and getting ideas too. Your videos are calming to watch and I like that and the fact that you are just you. Natural.
Thank you so much Pam!
Love your shoe shine box!
And that dress form.
You’re sure looking lovely today! Happy!
Awe, thank you Mary! So sweet.
So many goodwill finds I would purchase from you~hoping you begin to sell direct!
Julie, I love everything in this video. Saw the wire bath tub on the shelf next to the shoe shine box. .. Love it, and the dress form! What a Blessing to find such a great haul!!!
Thank you Linda!
Need that dress form! Loved your haul!
Thank you!
I LOVED the way you styled those platters. I wish my cabinets didn’t go all the way to the top! I have 7 steak platters as well! My grandma had 4 and my aunt had 3. And they called them steak platters! They are the same kind too!! My family loves to eat the steaks, potatoes off of them. I keep them tucked away in the cabinet! I would have grabbed that dress form too! I have decorated in Cottage Core! That would be perfect! In fact, I purchased a a full one from eBay! I’m going to paint it pink! And put a vintage lace apron on it and for the top, I’ve found some lace dresses. And to top it off, I have my grandmother’s pearls!
The little crock is adorable in the bathroom!!
I love the shoe shine box too. The brush looks adorable on it!
That picture is beautiful! So Cottage Core!
The Thanksgiving dress is adorable!
Thank you so Jeanisa!
I love how relaxing this is to watch and listen too. You find such wonderful things. Those Homer Laughlin plates! And the woman shaped wire would be perfect as an earring tree. I can imagine her with a jeweled “dress”.
And you could hang scarves off the bottom area.
Thank you so much Gail! I appreciate you!
McGee! Luttle brown jar is a Wisconsin cheese spread container!
I have the same platters. We used to have an outlet store in a neighboring town and I picked up six of those platters about 10 years ago for $1 each. They are heavy, but wear like crazy. They will last forever.
Oh thank you! I’m so excited to have them.
I am in LOVE with your green kitchen cabinets!!
Thank you Amy!
Girl ! You find the best stuff !
Thank you!
Lol old girl did her rounds 🤣 love it! I love the candle lamp 😊
Lol I couldn’t help myself 😂
I have the old school diner plates and everyone loves them. They are deep as well as large and work great for stews and such.
Yes it will look lovely with the shoe shine stuff on it xx
Thank you!
The G&J Meakin dishes you left are my everyday dishes and I love them!!!
I agree with Jo mcGee!
Lots of good stuff! Enjoy your videos a lot!
I use to work at Salvation Army thrift store & we had to wait to buy stuff too. That was very hard at times🙁
Everything you do really gives inspiration to someone, it takes a special person to relate to a diverse number of people, you and your family are a pleasure to watch and it's a privilege to watch such a beautiful family .....thank you for sharing your lives😀💕
Thank you so much Colleen I truly appreciate that!
I love that you are a Christian too!!
@@cynthiaann4465 thank you 😊
Wow! I love how you hung the plates!!! Looks so good
Thank you so much!
Yes, the shoeshine rack would look good with more brushes and also old shoe shine paste or wax in an old tin. I love the manakin, it would be a great piece to hang jewelry on. If I found one like that I would put it in my sewing room and hang my scissors and rotary cutters on. It's always fun to see what everyone finds and how they use it.
Thank you Laurie! Yes, to the jewelry idea!
I have that wire dress form on my walk in closet wall. I use it to hold my wire earrings across the horizontal wires. I forgot what it looked like “empty” 😉.
Loved the 'dress form'...and the little dress. My youngest grand daughter will be 16 in February. When she was born 14 weeks early, she weighed 1 lb 7 oz..her father's wedding band went up her arm to her shoulder with some extra room. Now she is a healthy young lady who is almost 6 feet tall...Amazing..God does miracles. Take care.
Thank you Margaret! Oh what a sweet blessing so sweet to hear your story.
*@Margaret Rose - yes, God is so GOOD - ALL of the time❣☝🙏🕊 ✝️ What a blessing to have your Granddaughter‼️🥰 Similar story with my niece who just had her 11th birthday this past December. She was also born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1.4 pounds at birth. My Sister named her Grace, because - "by the Grace of God, she lived!" - since the doctors didn't expect her to survive...but we KNOW PRAYER CHANGES THINGS...and when ALL you have is prayer, it is more than enough, PRAISE GOD❣🙏 ✝️ ❤*
Enjoyed this thrifting video, many thanks! Next time I see a tall thin lamp, I won’t pass on it. 😊. It looked great on your desk! I like the way you show how you style your finds. It’s great for inspiration! Take care. 👌🥰
Love your finds Julie, as usual! 👍😁God bless you All 😘
Thank you!
Love the large ironstone plates you found Julie!
Thank you!
Just so you know for that little lamp you can buy bulbs not hat look like flames and also flicker like 🔥
Thank you!
Julie I love all that you do! I really enjoyed spending time with you!
Thank you so much Vicki!
Those little white pitchers.....
Thank you Sharon!
That's interesting about the employees having to wait a certain amount of time. My local Goodwill worker told me that they can't shop at the store where they work. They have to go to other stores (or I imagine they could get someone to buy it for them if they really wanted). But I also thought they would get first dibs on stuff.
I think shoe shine brushes would look great on that shoe shine kit. Love the little dress form.
Thank you so much!
My husband and I purchased different Homor Laughlin platters at yard sales. I use for every family get together ❤. My boys love eating out of them . Big breakfast and dinners. Great video
Thank you Retha! Yes we love them.
Great finds👍👍👍
Thank you!
Great finds Julie. Your thrift videos are so good. Love seeing what you find and how you style it. That little dress is adorable. Have a blessed weekend. Marion
Thank you so much!
Lmao when you said "ol girl must've been making her rounds" 🤣 That's crazy!
The turkey dress is a adorable.
😂😂😂 I couldn’t help it! Isn’t that crazy she was up pricing stuff?
I was lucky to find two shoe shine boxes at the local thrift store and was blessed years later to run across a big ziplock bag full of supplies enough to fill both of them
Oh fun. I’m going to be looking too!
You find the cutest things, and I love where you use them. I love the plates/platters hung in your kitchen. PERFECT!
Thank you so much Susan!
You have the coziest kitchen and home! I just love the tiered basket with fresh produce in the background! You just inspired me with the shelf behind the stove too. I can't wait to find one at the thrift store and copy you! Hope you don't mind. Love the shoeshine brushes on the shoeshine shelf...so cute! The little candle lamp is such a good idea...I bet it looks amazing from the outside too! Oh Julie, I just love you and your family...you are so blessed girl!
Thank you so much Rosa! I don’t mind at all! Happy decorating!
Julie , yes the shoe shine box and brushes with greenery would look wonderful.
Thank you Michele!
You found some good stuff! Can't believe you didn't get the gold and silver cups. They were so cute.
Thank you Kay!
I love the metal dress form, world be great to display vintage brooches!🥰
Thank you! Yes it would!
Maybe find some shoe polish in the tins and lean the brush on the polishes
Great idea!
Love your new channel. That form would be cute with a child size apron on it. I collect those white platters too. We use to use them every day. I live in the north central part of the state and I see them still. Have a Blessed Day.💖🙏✨
Oh what a cute idea! Thank you so much!
I had a vision of tucking a pretty scarf into the bosom of that wire dress form.---I had a cheese crock like yours, in a smaller size, when we went camping in our pop-up tent camper. I kept fuses in the crock so they'd stay dry!
Thank you Alana!
Love how you styled the platters!! Also, really liked the shoe shine box, greenery would look great there!!! My girls used to wear turkey dresses like the one you found, all you need is ruffled pants!🥰😊
The dress form is amazing 😍
Thank you!
The dress form would be cute in your laundry room, on a shelf or hanging on a wall.
Thank you Betty! That’s a great idea.
The soldier prints are awesome! And that little lamp is great, I would have grabbed that too. It would looks really cute with a tiny lamp shade. It looks great painted black. The dress is precious. Great haul, Julie. :)
Thank you Betsy! I’m loving the little lamp!
The shoe shine brushes would look adorable!
Thank you Mela!

look cute on the shoe shine box with the brush 👍🏻
Oh yes! Thank you!
I love the plates you found and put on your walls. They are beautiful hung their. I also love the dress you picked out for your granddaughter. I myself can't resist buying clothes for my granddaughter when I find something that I think would look cute on her.

I love your plates 😻
Thank you Pamela!
You scored some great things .love the wire dress form.matches your wire bathtub display. Thank you. ❤
Yes, thank you so much! I love it.
I love the large platter/plates. I was thinking you could get a large platter with a blue or green pattern and put it in the space above your oven, then you could put that platter on the empty wall area.
Thank you Carol! Good idea. I’ll be looking!
Love these videos an your new channel is awesome
Thank you Carolyn!
1st time viewer here and I just want to say that I love LOVE love that you show us how you style your Goodwill finds. So many other videos don't do that and my style is very similar to yours. So thank you! You have a new subscriber :)
Thank you so much I’m so glad you’re here!
Hey Julie, you found some wonderful items. I really like the dress form and the steak platters. I was shopping right along with you. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Lisa!
I am a reseller and when I saw the Pyrex bowls, my heart jumped! I don’t search for Pyrex and I don’t even like the pattern! The profit made on those bowls would be amazing! I was sure about the lamp, but I really like it !
Oh wow! That’s awesome. Thank you!
Love love to watch your videos!! I too look for the ‘green’ stamp!! Think I picked up that idea from you❤️❤️!
Thank you Debbie!
Love the plates on the wall they looked stunning! You always find such neat stuff and have such great ideas!
Thank you Geri!
Hi Julie. Another great video! I am referring to your being unsure about buying the dress form. When I’m thrifting, if something “speaks to me”, I listen. I can’t tell you how many times I have bought items that I have NO idea what I will do with them but buy them anyway. It may take me a while, but inspiration eventually comes to me and I make something beautiful with them. Absolutely love the multifaceted ironstone creamer! It is very pretty especially with the ear shaped handle. You were lucky to find the prints for your friend still in the store too. Great job!
Thank you so much! Great tip too! Thank you!
I loved your family channel!! Those plates are so nice on your wall.🥰. I’ve never looked for ironstone but I’m really liking it!!
Thank you so much Cindy!
GASP !! 6:49 Yes!! Independence Ironstone is my fav
So pretty!
That is quite possibly the most beautiful wall hanging of plates I have ever seen…..the best wall decor I have seen you put up♥️♥️♥️
Awe, thank you so much!
I love to thrift and when I watch you thrift ingredients, I feel like I am doing it too so thank you
Thank you so much Colette!
Love the shoe shine box. My Grandpa made one and I have it and several brushes but I’ve never thought about using it for display….hmm. 👍
Thank you Sharon, I think it’s so cute displayed and will remind you him often when you see it.
Just discovered your channel. Love your personality and sweet disposition 😊 Can't wait for future videos. In the meantime, I'll go back and watch your other videos. Blessings!
Thank you so much!
Hi Julie, your shoe shine piece is a topper to a shoe shine box, the slanted piece is where the shoe fits while getting it shinned.
The dress mold is very cute, I have a smaller scale version, I put a child dress on it and clipped on my brooch collection.
Great Finds
That’s a very cute idea! Thank you!
You might try the cans of kiwi shoes polish paste on your shoe shine shelf with the shoe brush
Where would one find this polish? I am interested.
*Julie, I was fortunate enough to find 4 of those plates thrifting about 8 years ago...they were ONLY 25 CENTS each at Goodwill. To this day, it's the BEST $1.00 I HAVE EVER SPENT❣‼️🥰 But let me tell you what I have discovered over the years since I bought them. Those Homer Laughlin plates aren't just great for holiday meals, oh no, ma'am. They are also wonderful when you make yourself a huge salad for a meal; plenty of room for a huge variety of greens, and other veggies like: 3 colors of peppers, some onion, avocado, tomato, carrot; then add some cheese and top with grilled steak, chicken or shrimp and the salad dressing of your choice.😋 This is what I typically have for lunch, (my biggest meal of the day) and my co-workers always commented about how great my lunches always looked. I would just chop everything up ahead of time and assemble the salad at lunch time at work.❤ I also love using my plates for pasta night (lasagna, fettuccine alfredo with carrot, broccoli and shrimp or chicken, or chicken parmesan with ziti or spaghetti) - plenty of room for lots of sauce and garlic bread on the side❣😋 One of my other favorite ways to use these plates is for BBQ's: throw on your slab of ribs, corn on the cob, grilled zucchini, carrots and portobello mushrooms and there's room for EVERYTHING on one plate for your backyard barbecue meal...YUM‼️‼️🥰😋 Now, to go back to the video and watch the rest of it❣ LOL ❣🤣*
Oh my goodness Leslie now I want to bbq and make a salad. That sounds so good! Thank you so much for watching!
Julie you found some great things . Love the plates.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Hey, great find. Those would be so handy at big meals. Cause I have 2 boys and grandsons with hugh appetites. Besides that they are beautiful on the walls, and gives that country atmosphere. Very cozy.
Thank you Glenna! Yes, it takes no time to pull them down for large dinners.
Love those soldier pictures!!! 😍
Thank you
Love the way the bathroom is turning out!
Thank you!
I really love the metal dress form! I’ve never seen one this before! Awesome find!
