Opel have now dropped the price of this car to €38,993 - and the entry level Astra EV is €34,000 would it tempt you now? Comment below!
Base price for an ID3 is €37,210, so, no would be my answer.
Plus, even at the lower price, it’s competing against the Cupra Born which is priced similarly (€38,695).
Honestly not a chance.... When you look at what's on offer for even 34k it's so plain and feature less ... The byd dolphin for one
44k for an Opel Astra?? Holy crap
Update... 34k for an Opel Astra?? Holy crap
@@mlann2333i took mine for 24k
The 1.5d model of this is a clever purchase. Someone will still want it in a few years time and it's madly economical with plenty of power for what it is. An electronic version, crap.
Great review as usual nobby
Good review Nobby and FairPlay you tried to give it a fair shot but Jez It’s so boring looking! If ot was cheap maybe but nah not a chance I’d spend my cash on it.
You should do an independent video on those lights - they don’t just auto dip/ lower or look up some videos of them they are an amazing system.
I don’t need to look up a video on them, I’ve used them extensively in cars. The point is you can manually level them, that part is rare - far better than xenon / LED however, agree
I’m sorry to say I don’t like anything about the look of the car and can only see it selling if it was seriously cheap. 44k is crazy 🤪
Great review as always Nobby. I totally agree with the pricing. The car has its bad points and good points but if it was €10k less, it would find its own niche in the market.
I also agree about the lack of more charging points at the location you started out in. It would make so much more sense, not to mention the convenience, to have more chargers available.
If I was in the market for a new car ..and couldn't charge at home 99% of the time, no way would I buy a full EV.
We've entered the double glazing pricing period of cars.... they all basically end up half the initial asking price/RRP. Leafs and E Corsa currently half price pre-registered and the only reason I can see anyone buying this is when it's 22/24k rather than Tesla money
Why don't the make the charging leads retractable from the car seems an easy solution to having stupid cables rattling around your boot and looking for storage for them
A car for nobody IMO who is going to buy this? Anybody clued into EV's will know theres nothing viable about this car at 44k. The Opel lads must be scratching their heads wondering how they will sell them.
Evan’s Halshaw have knocked £12,300 off now.. done to £24,000 for a Astra E design
They'll sell for less than €15K in a couple of years time...
That’s what happens with new cars yes, they depreciate. Imagine!
@@NobbyOnCars I can indeed Imagine losing £25K in a couple of years, but it's not for me! There are already some on Autotrader for £27K almost new.
When will legacy auto learn about pricing their cars? Expect to pick up these up for about half the price in about a year.
Interior design looks old
Not a chance.
Hello mate the Tesla supper chargers always work and have lots of them
Supper Chargers ???? SUPER chargers
8:30 something is leaking...
Air con… totally normal
Buyers are _very_ wary of the huge devaluation on EV power plants..which is far more than on ICE or hybrids ....not sure how you overcome that.
Some damage has been done to consumer confidence for sure
Top spec MG4 does all this with a bigger battery and better specs, for 8k less......
come on 44 k.these electric cars crazy money and worth f all second hand
Mark new car prices have now reached the daft segment
They must be punting them out to the lease companies at massive discounts! Currently cheaper to lease than a Corsa E 🤣
In the UK the badge is Vauxhall. Which means I would rather walk.
Boring on outside and even worse inside
That's why we need more chinese branded cars..... Europe is over changing there customers 😢😢😢
44K euros At least I saved myself 13 mins from watching another BORING EV video
🤫
