      Highly doubt your statment m. The international technical developmement center was nearly completely sold employes have been transfered to „Segula“ external engineering company..the CAD Engineering was closed end of 2023.
      The german engineering DNA will die in the long term…sad that Magna Steyr was not able to buy Opel..GM was against this deal because they feared a high competitor especially at the european market…America First 😅

    0:20 thank you for this correct statement. Mainstream media doesn't name things as they really are.
    This is a peugeot, what was citroen in the 2000s.
    Also, it isn't a smallish station wagon...is the size of Alfa Romeo 159 station wagon or BMW 3 series F31 station wagon. I picked these 2 for looking similar in shape, and these are from the medium class, and opel astra is from the compact class, meaning it jumped into size

    All these Stellantis 115/54 cars can be good simply daily EVs for basic use (just sit and drive day by day), IF🧐 they have good price compare to clear EVs like Ioniq, Tesla, ID.s etc. and optional towbar.

      @@OenkePoenke What is the point you are trying to make?
      To me, this car seems to be so very basic. Small cabin space, fossil-style front engine bay fully occupied by electric motor and other stuff, no interesting technologies, a smaller battery, less powerful. Which is fine. Some people would not care and would be fully okay with such a car. But it needs to be affordable.
      Which, in my opinion, means that it **cannot** cost ~40k EUR for a base model in Europe (i.e. with tax). It just cannot. That price is absolutely prohibitive, given the available alternatives.
      For that car to have any chance of selling well, it needs to cost perhaps ~30k EUR for a base model. Then it might be considered a reasonable and rational alternative, in my opinion.

    It‘s perhaps for costumers who want an electric that looks the same as an ICE car and also has standard interior. If it would be priced at around €20.000 or even below, it would be OK. With a pricetag as a real EV, its just good for SUN headline: „EV‘s don‘t sell“

    @Bjørn Nyland: This Opel has still the same bug that my e208 has: the total capacity is based on outside(!) temperature, not on battery temperature. When you started, the total capacity @100% was 50kWh according to CarScanner (44kWh @ 82%). Later, at only 44% SOC, the total capacity would only be 46kWh even though battery heated up to 17ºC. Can somebody tell Stellatnis that this is stupid?! The usable total capacity should depend on battery(!) temperature, not outside temperature.

    The new Stellantis cars are much slower at 0-100 km/h than the old ones but are more efficient. I am no technical expert but i would think they changed something with the basic transmission ratio to go for better efficiency at the cost of punch.
    The old ones have some problems. Lane assist goes crazy at streets without markings and there was no update for it. The SoH in my Mokka E states 92 percent after only 20k km. With this small batterie and bad effiency of the first models its really bad in the winter. I am glad i only leased the car and havent bought it. I am curious how good or bad the new Stellantis variants will be after 2-3 years.

    • @ndc5544p
      @ndc5544p 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      SoH shouldn't be a widespread issue on these cars, judging by the research I've done on them on the forums. It can also be that you have a weak cell/module which pulls the whole pack down, but you'd need to check voltages when you're at around 30% to see obvious discrepancies. Also iirc the SoH is also temperature dependent so, I wouldn't trust the readout so much in winter and that readout can change depending on how the BMS is feeling and a change can take weeks to show. So take the values with a grain of salt. Could be better, could be worse. My Zoe also had such dodgy BMS, and Renault has a few years extra of experience in building EVs, so yeah, I guess the french do it differently?
      Depending on the use case, the cars are quite OK. I steered away from the PSA cars when I looked for one. Also the 11kW charger seems to break a lot on these and they aren't issuing a recall on them but it's being swept the under the rug.
      The new motors are Vitesco units, they have higher peak power but the car seems very sluggish for 156bhp. The cars seem very well built and the styling is attractive, but on the other hand they're not the best overall quality, regardless of powertrain choice.

  • @tesla-spectre
    @tesla-spectre 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    that is a pretty decent consumption for the conditions!
    I just wished Stellantis would grant such cars a bigger battery, 51kWh is just really small. 60kWh would make a huge difference. but probably not possible because they still use the ICE platform

      @@bjornnyland it's not a point of discussion. EVs are failed under every single points of view. Too much weight, too much costs of repair, value it's going down every single day And there is too much discrepancy between the values declared in the WLTP and the real ones when driving IN THE REAL WORLD (and not driving as a tester....). If we then add the autonomy variables based on the type of road and weather conditions....

      Diesel is the most efficient looking at weight and compactness of energy. You do realize you are subsidized owning a electric vehicle right? I just comment here as you used the term "efficient". I like your vids btw 😎@@bjornnyland

    • @tip0019
      @tip0019 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      And btw if you are into "most efficient" energy carriers and environmental friendly I want to mention hydrogen. It is a shame the numbers don't add up regarding logistics and containment of hydrogen, it would be by far the best future proof solution if they can improve the enginering 🥲
      Also don't forget about the microplastics coming from car tires which is over 50% of total. It's conveniently forgotten when speaking of heavy EV's. I am not bashing EV's, there is still much to improve on the battery side to really make it a non issue discussion.
      Any serious transporter still uses diesle. All inter village electric busses here in The Netherlands failed, hope it goes better in Norway.
