@DrDray would you make a video on the skin reaction being called "covid arm" from the mRNA vaccine. I'm curious about things I'm reading eosinophils, hyper immune reaction, why it's in women not men, and why it's common in women with autoimmune conditions like hoshimotos. Curious to hear you break it down into laymans terms.
Oh wow I can’t believe they came out with spf 50 AM, been using the 30 for many years and absolutely my favorite, I use cereve for everything, the moisturizing cream leaves an air brushed finish, I’m 65 and my skin looks amazing! No need for 100 dollar moisturizers!
From my mouth to God's ears - CeraVe Am in an SPF 50 - I can go back to my favorite now. Was having to look elsewhere because it was only a 30 SPF. Thank You!
You're the reason I use and recommend Cerave products. They've made such an extreme difference in the feel and appearance of my skin. I appear younger now than I did 4 years ago when I started using these products. I'm a redhead so gravitate towards the mineral sunscreen. Recently, I bought the new SPF50 Cerave sunscreen but found it makes the skin of my nose and fingers peel after using it. I don't know what that means so I just went back to the regular daily SPF30 moisturizing lotion.
I agree, the lighter tint is MUCH nicer! 👍 No orange! 🎃I have used the other and totally agree that it does leave an orangey tint to it. Doesn’t work too well with my foundation..😬
My skin is very sensitive , I use the Vanicream Facial moisturizer SPF 30. This sunscreen is a lightweight fragrance free moisturizer and sunscreen combined. It applies very nicely on the skin 😊
The new AM 50 is what I now use on my son. Works great for him and his young (12) dry skin. He is bi-racial with lighter skin and I do not have too much of a problem with white cast. By the time he leaves in the morning, it (the cast) has vanished. I am oily and use the 30 spf matte finish one and love it!
I appreciate all your videos, especially the ones with sunscreens and moisturizers. They’re such misconceptions and it’s a huge headache at times trying to find the right one thank you, Dr. Dray! 🙏

Morning Dr ! Many many blessings to you I always love your videos and trips to CVS and Target when you can can you do a new video on Viamin C products , again we love you here in West Texas
Thanks for the review on the sunscreens. I'm continuing to use the Elf Whoa Glow sunscreen and really like it. I don't plan on switching anytime soon but if I ever do, I might give one of these a go. Happy Tuesday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a blessed evening. 💚
i used a sample version so this might not be indicative of the regular bottle, but i noticed the spf30 pilling like crazy!!! so im excited to try this spf50!
The spf 30 pills for me too when I layer it over products. I usually just apply it to damp skin, then reapply another layer for even distribution once it Drys!
Didn't know they came out with an spf 50 sunscreen. I normally wear elta md and it looks good in the summer when I'm more tan, but Oregon it isn't very sunny in the winter and I think I might try going for the chemical spf 50. Great review!
My All-time favorite sunscreen is the Vanicream SPF60+ sunscreen! It is SO moisturizing for my skin and really protects from the sun! I can't seem to find it online or in the stores any more! I use Avene 50+ sunscreen but it does not moisturize as well! If I didn't have Rosacea and dermatitis, it wouldn't be so hard to maintain a good skin barrier! That and I'm a little long in the teeth too!!
I was literally searching to buy the cerave tinted sunscreen and was wondering if they would make other tint shades then found this video made a day ago. Perfect timing! Lol
I usually prefer Korean or Japanese sunscreen due to texture as i live in South East Asia. But whenever my skin was red and sensitive due to tretinoin i will use the cerave am lotion and stay indoor as much as possible. Look forward to try the spf 50 am lotion. Hopefully price is not more expensive.
Have you heard of Onélogy? They have water-activated/freeze dried skincare in caplet form. You dissolve the caplet with water or a water based serum or toner. They have a niacinamide, two peptides, azelaic acid and HPR. They recommend layering and not mixing the formulas.
Greetings Dr Dray hope u r well n 🖐Hello Every1 n Happy Tuesday😀n what a Wonderful Vid…. thanks n This is Gonna b so Great cause Sunscreen Rocks🧴🔥👍n Continued Blessings to All💜….
My problem with all these sunscreens is the oil slick look on my face. I've tried $$$$$$ worth, either too white, too gray, too oily cast. With the tinted, I've had better luck, but still oil slick appearence. I've even showered and prepped my face an hour before applying makeup, but still must dab away the oily look. There's a product I found that states ""Dry Sheer", it comes close!
I've found the Haru Haru mineral black rice sunscreen is good for mattifying my oily areas, other sunscreens marketed for oily skin still make me oily 😆
Idk if you tried it, but I had this Cerave AM 50 and it was too oily for me. Someone suggested La Roche Posay Anthelios 60 with Dry Touch. I like this one a lot!!!
Dr. Dray have you seen the new Up&Up fragrance free sensitive skin body lotion? I saw it at Target yesterday, so I think it’s relatively new. It’s got a great ingredients list (ceramides, amino acids, urea), and it’s less than $5 for 20oz!
I’ve always been picky about sunscreen, but I love trying new products for the season. Alongside good skincare, I’ve found that supplements can make a big difference too. I discovered some great ones in a book called Secret Supplements that turn you into a Superhuman. One that’s really helped my skin stay healthy from the inside out is collagen it’s been amazing for keeping my skin smooth and hydrated.
I am in Amarillo, Texas....and while the winter has not hit us at full speed ....it has changed and my skin feels it. I am excited to give CeraVe a try with higher SPF. It's been some years. I work inside an all glass building so I use quite a bit sunscreen.
I didn’t like the hybrid spf 30. It wasn’t pleasant to apply and pilled. After I watched this I got the hybrid 50. It was just over $16 on Amazon or at Walmart. First impressions were easy application, no irritation, no pilling. I think I’ve found my winter moisturizer/spf.
Depending on the cost, I'd just stick with Australian Gold Deep Mineral Sunscreen. But glad companies are doing more deeper tint shades for mineral sunscreens. I primarily wear mineral, because chemical burns my eyes.
Kind of makes me sad that the new one has a couple of filters that irritate my skin big time until i remeber that i live in Australia and we have some really nice sunscreens that dont irritate my skin because of new filters, yay
I really did not like the Cerave AM 50. My skin is oily and it felt too greasy. Someone suggested to me the La Roche Posay Anthelios 60 with Dry Touch. I love this sunscreen. It’s the first one I’ve found that doesn’t make my face feel gross. Is there anything else like this out there?

They might not bother Dr Dray. She has said in previous videos that how someone reacts to sunscreen is individual (along with the formulation/ingredients). She also usually mentions in videos if she has any issues with stinging.

I wouldn’t recommend the Cerave one. I have naturally very oily skin, however it’s very dry now due to accurate and this product leaves me extremely shinny, sticky and oily… It feels awful on my skin. Plus it has a slight traditional sunscreen smell that I personally hate. In my opinion it’ll only work for people with very dry skin or who love a very intense glowy look.
I tried the Cerave SPF 30 but it caused so many spots for my face!! Aaaa I’m still trying to figure out why. I’m thinking maybe because of the niacinamide in it. (I have quite sensitive skin)
How do you wash the new Cerave SPF 50 AM moisturiser off a 9 year old & 13 year old? Do you need a makeup remover then a facial wash or just a facial wash ?
I wanted to tey something new and easier to get than tatcha silken sunscreen that i was using for years. Changing nothing but the sunscreen and giving it about 6 weeks, cera ve's tinted sunblock caused awful breakouts. I haven't had this many pimples since high school. :(
I’ve noticed many of the sunscreens you use make you look like you’re sweating. Although you really never do anything that will help tone it down, like using a light setting powder. Just looks greasy
the old Cerave spf 30 gives a chalky feeling on my face and the white cast is horrible, I prefer Cetaphil sunscreen, it still has white cast but blending nicely into my skin tone after a few minutes of using it
Not impressed with the old spf 30 daytime lotion sunscreen. It leaves a white cast on my skin. It's probably me. I'll try out the new spf 50, here's hoping it is better.
Why does using a tinted mineral vs untinted sunscreen make my skin dry out and looks like large flakes of skin? No matter what brand it’s always the mineral tinted. I usually use BOJ . I don’t think it’s pulling because I do not use anything under the sunscreen . Thank you for any insight.
Everytime I buy cerave hydrating sheer sunscreen off amazon in uk it seems a different colour. Sometimes it's too light other times it orange . It's off a third party seller so keep wondering if its fake 🤔
Cerave's previous sunscreens are so painfully bad I'm not sure I'll ever give them another shot. I know they're a very well regarded brand, but I've tried a fair number of their products and really only liked their foaming oil cleanser and their benzoyl peroxide
I’m a bit confused about the cereve am spf 50 - is it a moisturizer or a sunscreen? I thought Dr. Dray has said that moisturizers that contain sunscreen do not provide adequate protection, as you would get in an actual sunscreen product.
The spf is the spf, regardless of what the product is. Her complaint is a lot of moisturizers with spf have too low protection (15-20). Over 30 is ok, 50 is best. And she’s always said a lot of sunscreens can be used as moisturizers depending on your skin.
I bought the spf 50, the hybrid,it goes on horrible, it’s too thick and it pills terribly. It’s not available in Canada, I picked it up on trip to the US.
😞 You just answered the question I asked in my comment! Wondering if it was thick and if it would be ok for oily skin? I thought the SPF 30 was to thick. Disappointed.
I didn't catch the mans last name, who Dr. Dray recommended. Javon Spoon? I ide Cerve and the blue ointment in a squeeze container was sold out on the Amazonian.
Could u address the theory (or myth) chemical sunscreen can exacerbate melasma/hyperpigmentation by absorbing/generating heat? I have 57yo tan, combo oily skin and it's challenging to find a properly tinted mineral sunscreen that has a satin finish. Ive been using Australian Gold tinted 50, but discovered it doesn't have high enough concentration of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide
all sunscreens work by disspiating heat, but the amount is on a nanoscale and does not actually change skin temperature. These types of reactions occur widely throughout the body and do not heat us up

Not impressed with the old spf 30 daytime lotion sunscreen. It leaves a white cast on my skin. It's probably me. I'll try out the new spf 50, here's hoping it is better.
I wear makeup and feel they are too heavy . So I use the Clinique 50spf it absorbs.
I loved the texture of the cerave am 30 but I was allergic to the fragrance. Is this one the same?
Nothing beats the Korean sunscreens.

I thought chemicals in sunscreen is hormone disrupting…I am estrogen + breast cancer survivor..so I am afraid…am I wrong to be afraid?
Hello doctor ❤
Good morning!
@ Thanks. I understand, but if SPF is added to a moisturizer, it becomes diluted. It isn’t the same as just applying an actual spf product.
