I would like to see the blazers sell high on the vets. Jerami grants value after the new crazy high cba will be enormous so wait on him. Malcom and Ants value is probably at an all time high right now so they sould be delt in my opinion. Robert Williams is one of the best defenders in the entire NBA, so I think they should get him some playing time and get him healthy his trade value would be immense if he's playing good. Selling on Robert Williams when he's at an all-time low is not smart.
@Ulikecookies what's that's suppose to mean, my point was start selling high on vets. We usually wait about 1 to 2 years to late, or sell early while at ita all time low.
@@rjejames28 you have a bunch of what if and things that honestly probably won't transpire. Timelord ain't gonna have high value given his health, but if he was healthy he would have high value. And if a frog had wings it wouldn't bump it's ass on the ground.
Miami was Low balling Joe with offer of Tyler Zero and 2 picks. Dame was playing passive Aggressive by making Miami the only trade destination. Joe did Dame good by trading him to the Bucks with a chance to win a Championship.
I would like it if the front office finally made sense for once, and trade Ant, JG and Rob at least. Consider trading the 7th or 14th pick as well to ensure we can get a solid pick(s) back for the next draft or two. Let's actually finally go into the rebuild completely instead of whatever the hell this half/half state is, get those big contracts off the roster, and try to focus on getting a solid Center/Power Forward who have a really high work ethic and motor, with a high ceiling (so young, whether via the draft(s) or trade). I also have no problem with keeping Oscolm. He's relatively cheap, a great mentor, leader and locker room guy, and he's proven it's not just words and he genuinely wants to be here and move on to focusing on mentoring young guys over getting big minutes. I see this article however in a negative light, being an attempt to get good PR & advertising on the front office and ownership of the team, while they have a overall very negative reputation within the fan base and with players, where the many of the players voice their hatred for playing for this front office and ownership when they're not in a mainstream setting or super public one where they will ALWAYS just speak their scripts. That's all it really is. It's fluff.
I think that Joe is always going to work with players within reason is a good way to say it. I think that Joe has many examples of where he was able to get what players were asking for. But, as the Dame trade showed, if the destination can't make a workable trade, he won't deal with them just to make the player happy. I think that he came up with a best alternative with the Dame trade to try to make everyone happy. Ish.
I love Damian Lillard. I’ve supported everything and I really respect the dude. But Demanding that he only go to one team and that team plays hardball was a dick move
4 team trade idea Portland receives: Steven Adams, Jabari Smith Jr, Jonathan Isaac, Orlando’s 2024 Second round pick #47, Orlando’s 2025 Unprotected First round pick. C’mon, these are pros who know they’re business assets; they know that businesses make decisions to benefit the bottom line and they accept it as part of their profession. They know they can be traded at the whim of ownership and move on. There are exceptions and most know they’re not.
Leaving value on the table to be accommodating to players sounds nice in theory, but in reality it makes this franchise one that can be easily taken advantage of by other teams and agencies. For anybody saying that this bogus “good reputation” will help us down the road, look at a team like Boston. They operate like a business, not afraid to trade away players that have been loyal to them (Isaiah Thomas, Marcus Smart, among others) if they are defective or an opportunity to improve arises. And that’s a team that’s always in contention. Cronin is more worried about being nice to other players and teams, as well as being liked by the media than making this team competent. Mark my words, this franchise will NEVER contend with him as GM and with this incompetent ownership group in place
Jerami Grant to OKC. Simons to Orlando. Brogdon to San Antonio. Thybulle to Knicks. Robert Williams to Rockets. Kris Murray and Jabari Walker to Sacramento. You heard it here.
I’m willing to bet I get more than half of my trade proposals correct. You and I will see. I think Joe has noticed that one sided trades or trade proposals leave a sour taste in your mouth hence Miami. Joe has done good by vets he has picked up hence Holliday and Joe Ingles. These relationships are important with running a small market team. With social media being what it is can be a great tool to put the word out that this or that team did right by you and your family. The same tool can be used as a negative if you don’t do right as a GM.
The Rockets are giving up the most enticing player in the trade AND a first round pick? That's better than a best case scenario for the Blazers. So I agree, not terrible.
It’s a stupid idea and the salary’s don’t match. Not even close. My people are saying that the Rockets are wanting to move on from Dillon Brooks and that would make the salaries closer but is he a cancer on Portlands roster?
My sources are telling me that the Rockets are wanting to move on from Dillon Brooks. If he is In a trade to Portland is he a set back to this roster building?
Word is he would be the salary filler in a deal with Portland. I see him as a locker room cancer. If he’s in the deal for Smith Portland can send Brooks to the Lakers to team up with Lebron. 😂
rewind the NBA ~20 years. There was a really bad LA Clippers that seemed to get hosed every time they traded players. Yaaa... Portland's "new management" looks like a similar dumping ground Franchise.

@@juangutierrez8977 I agree that might be true, but they might as well find out. If he gets healthy his value is high.

Teams are loving the 2025 draft so much I doubt they would be willing to give up their first round in 2025.

Who will we have left?
A better roster with future draft picks and cap flexibility. Not to mention building relationships amongst the league. The future is now.
Lol I'm going to guess you go 0-fer here. But who really knows. Follow up though, can "Building Relationships Amongst the League" rebound?
