It’s even better once the game opens up. I would recommend not exploring too much when you get to the wasteland area bc the side quests send you back to the area constantly.
i just want this game on pc already :(
Me too!
This is a double dipper imo. I’m rebuying it on PC for the inevitable final fantasy outfits lol
Never judge a book by its cover, eh? Good to hear it turned out to be a competent game. :)
He did judge Hogwords Legacy by its cover. Didn't even give an hour to it.
@@nmabhishek9760 Was there anything beyonf Hogwarts Legacy's cover besides another Ubisoft like game?
@@PrinterThornan enjoyable well made game that allows you to execute and torture little people.
Yes there is more beyond the cover.
It's not perfect it does have an issue of collectibles if you want to 100% it, but the missions are well designed as you need to use your full toolset.
I mean I kinda did judge the game by its cover at first, it looked like peak to me from the earliest trailer.
The "fanbase" did more damage to the cover of the book than the book itself.
It's an amazing game. I'm having a blast playing it. The story is interesting and the combat is very fun and it's not as hard as Soulsborne games. Also the game dont waste your time. You die to a boss and usually you just respawn right infront of the boss with no loss of currency or need to run back.
Yeah no "reclaim your loot after you die" mechanic. No shuffling around enemies to recharge your stamina or skills. Unlimited sprinting. Exploring underwater doesn't need oxygen. Like, it takes experiencing this kind of freedom to really appreciate how fun not having those things are.
It's interesting to see a take on the "SoulsLike" combat system that does NOT include a "Stamina Bar."
There's zero stamina mechanic period. No stamina for sprinting, no oxygen bar for diving, no recharge time for any skills as long as you have energy for it. The only thing that needs any "recharge time" is your shield, which recharges between battles.
This game is fun, it leaves you wanting more. It has that rock, paper, scissor combat of dark souls , but once you start unlocking things and become confident you can easily overwhelm enemies like in devil may cry.
I see why you could say dark souls combat has rock, paper, scissor elements but it's an overstatement as you can beat all enemies with the each weapon.
In new game plus, the combat speeds up a lot along with the difficulty.
I for one, prefer the slower more stratigic and meticulous combat, especially, ambush and parrying, especially, because parrying builds up Beta Energy and weakens the enemies guard, that leads to Retribution, which deals mass damage to the enemies. Blink and Repulse I don't like as much, but are still need in certain situations.
game is way too slow for my liking, so i appreciate the combat speed up stat
I like blink and repulse to activate the Burst skills they are so damn fun and flashy.
@@Riku2005 combat is not that bad, u can make ur own build, u can be defensive, or rush down style or even balance between melee and range....
When I saw NIKKE I thought ''assets and shooting, okay''. But the game is really good, it has an interesting story, cool characters, a good balance between comedy, action and depression, amazing soundtracks with a lot of variety too, they could remove the assets and I would continue playing.
I've been playing since day 1, the game is also very generous, and best of all is that the devs put passion into the game. When Stellar Blade comes out for PC I will definitely buy it.
PC please!
1:00 such a missed opportunity to say stellar
Phenomenal assets indeed
can I just comment on your great humour, nicely description of the games selling points
Good assets, much respectfully
It's very much a gameplay first and story/characters second type of game. It might not appeal to everyone but not every game has to.
And I insist on the Assets
there is an outfit that cover entirely ur body if ur bothered by her asset....it a bear costume/maskot, its actually cute lol
Yeah, the combat and enemy design are excellent! I’ve enjoyed the first few hours. I’m just waiting for the story to get more interesting than the eradication mission. Surely, there’s more to it than “kill all aliens,” right?
Enemy design is lacking imo. Very boring, generic blobs of flesh.
@@wetnoodlex Idk, 58 enemy types in a 30-hour game seems diverse enough to me. And I recently discovered a lore reason why most Naytiba have exposed flesh, so at least, it makes sense.
Assets were good. Nuff said.
Playing mine without new games plus to keep the uncensored outfits but enjoying the game
I'm sad that you nerfed the series thumbnail ;)
For anyone wondering Cohh is definitely right this is more of a character action game than a souls like though it does have some souls mechanics like respawning enemies after resting and some gameplay design philosophies like a focus on learning enemy patterns to be able to outclass what they are doing. All in all this game feels like 75% character action game and 25% souls game though rather it being compared to stuff like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta or Metal Gear Rising Revengance its more in line with character action games like Ninja Gaiden or Scarlett Nexus.
Assets.
Glad to hear this game is not ass.
Should I buy Stellar Blade or FF16? I crave some action combat.
Stellar Blade, unless you also want a story heavy cinematic game with action combat. Stellar Blade is more of a Devil May Cry sort of Action game.
stellar is more dificult , so I would say that. FF16 has an amazing story and some of the best boss fights every made period.
What Drew said.
@@DrewPonder I see. The combat in ff is not that great?
@@MrAlexvizz The combat is good, the game just has a ton of cutscenes, which some people ended up tuning out due to the length of them. It's good though!
Yes nice ASSets
😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️
It's weird that this game is locked to a PS5 when Shiftup has all their other games on mobile and PC. This game would have sold a ton more if it was on PC.
It was meant to be multi platform originally, but I believe they needed help. They heard Shuhei Yoshida from Sony was in Korea and contacted them. He did a play test and told Sony to get on board. If Shift Up were in a better position they would have been day one everywhere. I’m sure the next project will be now they’ve made bank on this and will be in a better position for investors. Getting Sony to approve was really big for them as this was a risk. It might suck, but I don’t think it was just numbers for the CEO.
gg
i was hoping it a be more fluid and fast like bayonetta or dmc. seems like its more like souls combat which is a shame.
New game plus will give you that faster pace. EVE has to unlock and build up all her skills first, which you can do, by farming early in the game, if that's your preference?
I think it's a mix of both. It's not that similar to Soulsborne games at all in my opinon. It just feels that way in the beginning. It's alot more action focused. Also you don't have ''souls'' or another currency that you lose on death or anything. You just respawn almost where you left off in most cases.
your comment is nonsense. that is just your taste. is not shame.
Jiggle jaggle jinggle 😊
So sick of the hearing the same thing though from people though, Eve looks more realistic than REAL women with these dumb bbl enhancements that make their butts and thighs bigger than their whole body with implants that look like medicine balls, and people want sit there and say "Eve looks ridiculous," my wife is enjoying the heck out of it, in fact she's the one who bought it for me.
Stellar babe
No commentary on the sexism. Smart. 😂
1:41 By that logic, -Mass Effect- Andromeda and -Hitman- Absolution are amazing games. But being part of a franchise imposes certain expectations. 📈
Well, Andromeda without being a part of ME franchise would have to create all of the alien species instead of using the existing ones from OG Trilogy and I highly doubt that they would've managed to nail even this single aspect(remember that new alien race they presented - absolutely mediocre and forgetable bipedal snoozefest), not to mention other major problems it had as a game in general.
nowdays games/movies/shows have more problems with gameplay/story sucks and also "assets" sucks ..
Yep that's the way to judge a game: take a controller and play :D
Steller Blade already has one of the highest metacritic user ratings at 9.2. Higher then Red Dead 2, Elden Ring, BOTW, Nier Automata, Bloodborne, Sekiro. Can we really blame them? It easily stands toe to toe if not rises above these games, user reviews speak for themselves Just goes to show the critics are in the wrong, the users have spoken. Its time the users finally rose up. Steller Blade will go down in history as one of the best games ever.
It will go down as GOTY. Eve will go down as the newest gaming icon along with the likes of Arthur Morgan. A new bar has been set, bravo Shift Up, first game and you make a game that reviews better then most devs mangum opuses!
That is HARD cope lol. The score is highly inflated from all the fanboys playing with their dick in their hand.
Combat is decent.
Character/Enemy design mediocre.
Lore mediocre.
World design is okay, but dull.
Voice acting is awful.
It's at best a 7/10. 9.2 my ass lmao
To compare this game to RD2, Nier, Elden Ring or ANY of the Soulborne games is actually slander to all of those games. NO SHOT is it even in their league.
Asse(t)s
Some real woman can show alot of chevage but when its done in a video game people get mad.
you speak the truth
Cause they don't make money from OF or CB that way. If they're manipulating beta males that's somehow OK.
Meanwhile when some video game women get their cleavage covered, people get even more mad because MUH CENSORSHIP
@@NettackiOMG, that amount of fuss being made over 2 outfits having a tiny piece of cloth added is ridiculous.
Anti-Woke are like a running gag... like they really made a petition to unpatch it.
Literally both sides of the loud minority are as bad as each other.
@@Nettacki in the case of this game, the developer stated in a video that every region would be getting the same uncensored version of the game. Upon release, it was discovered that the game was censored. Cleavage bonanza aside, that is straight up lying to your audience and false advertising.
The story isnt really anything special, puzzles are ok, dialogues are ok etc + feels polished (no bugs etc), but holy shit is the combat fun which is the most important thing to me personally in a game. Imagine it has 10/10 story etc but the combat is trash -- would I play it and enjoy it ? Hell nah
I think the story is interesting to hold your attention through it. It's not as good as Nier but it does have a similar feel to it. And the gameplay is amazing. I would give it an 8/10 or 8.5/10 it's a super solid title in general with alot of content.
@@MeldinX2 I couldn't give it more than a 7/10. Combat is the only good thing about the game, but I'd rather just play Devil May Cry or Nier or Elden Ring, or literally any other action combat game. Story is okay, but as you said, it's just Nier, but worse. Voice acting is dull and muted. Character design is actually just somebody went on instagram and pulled an Asian model then played dress up with her. She's hot af, but there's like zero creativity involved, very typical of Korean games. Everybody just looks like a Kpop star.
@@wetnoodlex Well to each their own. I think the game is pretty solid even outside combat. Story is interesting as i said and the characters are growin on me the futher i played into the game. Even though they felt abit generic at the start. Music is also very good. Aswell as the enemy variety.
I just can't possibly take a game like this seriously which is too bad 'cause aside from the art direction it genuinely looks like a solid game. Happy for those who enjoy it, have fun!
you have problems😅
@@Fiufiahe basically said this game isn't for him but is happy others are enjoying it and he's the one with problems?
Is this where we're at now? blind hatred?
I don’t understand why these men are scared to admit that they find Women attractive It’s kind of sad really.
asmon kinda bad tho
he's just mindlessly sniffing grummz's farts, nothing of value was lost
If I was forced to only be able to choose 5 game series to play for the rest of my life, I would choose...
1) Crimson Desert (Release 2025)
2) Stellar Blade
3) The Elder Scrolls
4) Beyond Good & Evil
5) Reserved for an amazing and close to perfect pirate game, that I have yet to see. A combination of all the things I love about Vendetta: Curse of Raven's Cry + Pirates of the Caribbean + Sea Dogs + Age of Pirates + Pirates of the Burning Sea, would be perfect, but I might never see that game in my lifetime? So, I would just take Mass Effect or Ghost of Tsushima as number 5 for now, and turn it in for that close to perfect pirate game down the road, if ever created.
gaming journos keep reeeee-ing all over the internet
lol they're not the ones shitting and pissing themselves and asking for refunds
@@tgtgggggg funny when a company lie to the fans about something is bad, but if the company lies about censorship, that will be unsencored version for all, but day 1 patch we receive censhorship and people complain about it...then its wrong....lol ah the hiprocrise....people payed 70 dollars + the uncensored promise, they have the right to complain.
Who's reeeee-ing then? The journalists who gave it an 82% on metacritic with only 3/118 reviews under 70? Or people like worzoth4728 ?
@@tgtgggggg Eh...some people just want to be upset. Personally, I say let him. If he wants to get upset at those 3 reviews, that's fine. We can still enjoy whatever we want.
they can't handle the fact that the game turned out to be an actual solid product with a hella attractive female MC(extremely rare combination these days)
The story is nonsense, the voice acting is terrible. The game doesn’t find its legs for about 5 hours. The combat is spectacular. Love it. Eve looks ridiculous, I think it’s fair to say that. I’d be embarrassed if my wife saw me playing this.
I think this is the general consensus, the story isn't great but the overall game is fun.
I see most reviews in the 7-8 range.
What are you a prude? Eve looks more realistic than REAL women with these stupid bbl enhancements that make their butts and thighs bigger than their whole body with breast implants that look like medicine balls, and you want sit there and say "Eve looks ridiculous," my wife is enjoying the hell out of it, in fact she's the one who bought it for me.
ok, you just play for 5 hours.
I find she is too watery, the jiggle is way too 'loose'? and not really realistic at all.
well thats how i feel about it after watching it on twitch today.
unfortunatetly this game is way too easy, idk why 95% of new games have to be made so you can play them on autopilot without any brain processing and its still not challenging
Sounds like you need a job or a life. Games are meant to be fun.
@@cartoonvideos5 yea games are so fun when u can button mash with ur brain turned off
@koreanprodigy3251 Yes. Ever played Devil May Cry or original God of War games?
It is abit too easy. But i'm a soulsborne veteran that have played every single From software game including Sekiro. I think for most people not used to games like this the diffeculty is fine. And it's not like you can just spam Square. You still need to parry and dodge and all those things. So it does keep you engaged. Also you can Unlock a hard mode in New game+.
@@MeldinX2you don’t need new game plus
If it’s too easy play hard mode on a fresh playthrough without anything unlocked at the start (escape cosmetics)
