Just now decided to watch this video after I successfully replaced my old starter motor for the first time. I uh...kinda damaged a gas line doing so lol, but managed to get everything fixed and now my scooter starts up a lot better again!
🌟IDK if it works on a Gy6 starter ! On my lawnmower starter, I use a alcohol solution as I put power to it & it flushes the brush dust & oil build up then sand the brushes & Armature with fine grit ! Providing I can get the starter to rotate. Thanks my friend, I need to find a high tork starter for the big bore kit I'm fixing to install . I call U the "scooter Whisperer" LOL . I noticed that if you run your scooter 2000 miles per year the starter brushes will last 4 years, the entire starter cost $20.00 and the brushes alone cost $9.00 on Aliexpress, the oil seal cost $10.00 and lasts about the same.
virberello, my starter spins when i start the motor, it doesnt engage the flywheel. its a new starter and my battery reads 12 volts and is fully charged, whats going on>?
Hello my friend unfortunately I think you have problems with the starter clutch and that is inside the motor in the gy6 150 cc behind the fan and the magneto stator on the lower right side of the scooter and will take long time to replace
My Kickstarter doesn't work either but all of this started since the starter motor began to fail. Before then I was able to use my Kickstarter but not anymore. Could this mean my problem could be something else? For example my engine? . When I press the on button, just a clicking noise happens.
Hello yes is ok you can clean all the inside of the starter with carb cleaner but you can NOT spray that on the copper wires . Thank you for watching my video
Hey Virberello I need some help I took starter out cleaned and reasembled, and put back in but its not catching engine..i haven't took it out and put it back in yet..any tips?
Hello mister Amigo , i have Zuzuki Epicuro, it has original starter Denso , how to fix it , it rotates very hard , i dont know that startor is the problem , but when start the scooter it tries and fails miserably then my accumulator dies trying , i removed the startor what to do now , there is sound on the startor like Trrrrrrrrrrrr
@@VirberelloScooterTips o opened the startor , inside one of the black plates on side were broken in half , and is preventing proper spin of the rotor , also the rotor was damaged by the particles , its a mess , it spins but like a Traktor
@@VirberelloScooterTips the one of the magnets inside is broken also in the bottom some little tips two of them also , i need a new stator for sure i opened everything when my stator doesnt spin , my relay makes cracking sound , i trie with kickstart then the engine release the stator and spin again little , the broken magnet attaches to the Rotor then get tighhtened , stator is trash 4sure
Trying to figure out why when press start I hear a metal on metal clang then bike starts. Was intermittent but now almost every time. Can't find anything close on line. Could it be starter?

Hello Mark anything can be possible make sure you do not have any cracks on the vacuum lines , did you check if the main jet is dirty ? and did you check the valve clearance ?

Is Carb cleaner good on Cleaning out Gy6 Starter Motor

My 250cc scooter starter was dusty and it didn't have oil. I cant find the original starter for it so i have to rebuild.I hope it starts..

Hello my friend the best will be to replace the starter or open your old one and clean the inside and replace the brushes

Hello Carl make sure the starter bolts are tight and there is a possibility that you could have dirty brushes connection inside the starter motor

Hello Mark anything can be possible make sure you do not have any cracks on the vacuum lines , did you check if the main jet is dirty ? and did you check the valve clearance ?
