You are a wonderful teacher. My sister and I just bought 3 Tao Tao vip power max scooters. They are 150 cc . I look on the internet for you all the time bc of how informative you are. You are wonderful. You have helped me so much. You explain everything slowly and thoroughly. Thank you for sharing and being a wonderful mentor!
Hello Keera thank you for watching my videos I try to explain all the things that come to my mind and for sure sometimes I forget many other things that I should say ah ah ah be safe with your scooter and Thank you again for watching my videos
Hello my friend I try to explain little beat how to start the scooter sometime there is a million reason why your scooter does not wont to start and personally I will love to be there in person for everyone that need my help in that moment of stress but is not a realistic solution ah ah ah ah so I try to make this video . Thank you for watching my videos and be safe
First-year with my 150cc scooter - followed your “How to Winterize” video & thought I did everything right - changed oil, new gear oil, fuel stabilizer, and put it on a battery tender - then stored it in garage for the Michigan winter on December 1. Fast forward to this beautiful sunny day on February 27 - tried to start it, and it wouldn’t start. Battery fine, starter fine, what could be wrong? Searched for this video - and you got me fixed at 30 seconds. Power “kill switch” was still in OFF position! Admittedly feeling a little embarrassed, I flipped that to the ON position and of course my scooter started right up. Very much appreciated! Thank you!
Love this! I ride a DRZ400, My bike was dying after about 1/2 a mile. I took it to the dealership and they couldn't figure out the problem and they charged me £200 to clean the carb, took it back to them and they had it for a week before they realised the issue. Virberello, thanks for this video, you mentioned this issue without even seeing the bike. I'm learning all the time and trying to teach some pupils about mechanics. I'll definitely be sharing this video with them and subscribing thanks.
@@Poopysnoopygoopy I had blocked the hole in the fuel cap with some wood because the tank leaked if the bike was dropped. I didn't think at the time but blocking the hole made a vacuum at the top of the tank. Which stopped fuel from leaving the tank. Such a simple issue but a few trained mechanics had problems figuring it out. Life lessons learned 😆😅🤔
Hi .really very good explanation Please tell me what I have to do because I have filed up the tank diesel instead patrol What is the solution Many thanks 🙏
You will have to drain the fuel tank drain the carb from the drain valve remove the spark plug and run the scooter without the plug for 10 seconds clean the spark plug put it back fill the scooter with high octane fuel and you should be ok
Thanks Mr @Virberello Scooter Tips ..!! You are since now my favorite Teacher to fix my scooters or motorcycles, proud to be suscribed ,following & watching your videos , other people dont explain like the way you do, Thank You ...!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello! I have a Buddy 50 cc scooter. It runs great except for sometimes it hesitates a little in the sense that it will turn off at strange times when I am going lower speeds or it will not turn on.. In order to get it to turn on I carry a little screw driver and carb cleaner and I will take off the air filter cover and spray the intake with carb cleaner and put it back on. Then I go to start and it starts VERY good. It was just brought to a shop who charge like $200+ for a carburetor cleaning and spark plug replacement. The shop is called Boca Scooters… I am NOT convinced that they did honest work but I don’t know know for sure. I would like to have it turn on normally. (without having to have to spray the carb cleaner every time) I believe that I need to work on the carburetor again or get replaced altogether OR get a valve adjustment. I would like to bring it to a different shop but I don’t know really where to start. Gas is clean, premium used (50CC 2018 Buddy) Carb JUST got cleaned but NOT positive they did honest work…….. Spark plug all new. Where should I start from here?
Hello first you should check the carbutator for sure needs to be cleaned very good and the jets or if the the carb is old need to be rebuild or replaced because many times the rubber or plastic parts get demage from Ethanol in the fuel after check the fuel lines and the vacuum lines that can help and if you live in WPB go to Luis in georgia ave an souther blvd is very good but if you can do it yourself you save lots of money
Tq your explanation is very good. Exactly happen with my scooter yesterday - suddenly stop on the road and pop sound - engine not crank - the engine sound "tik tik" when turn on ignition. I will check it later. Tqvm
Did the 80cc swap on 49cc But it turns a couple times slow and then slows down and stop It wont start! Compresion yeah? Certainly not baterry the horn honks.. or mayve starter celinoid not strong enough now? Omgosh sheeesh Edit**** update Battery took my car battery out and hooked it to scoot scoot and start right up. The original battery was not strong enough definitely try that if youre having trouble on first start . She pulllllin now boys! Wooooooooooo It took me 2 full days but im telling you it is totally! Worth it frfr
For me i had a problem with my Bendix, it was broken.. electrical starter motor was going eeeeeeeee, every time I pushed the button, it wasn't working properly. Hopefully that's why have no spark, even though I just found out what a Bendix was, and I changed all parts from stator, cdi, coil, starter relay, my electric starter motor seems fine? It spins, seems fully functional., my battery was actually at 13.2volts hopefully that's normal and not a problem with the voltage rectifier, seems normal? I going by assumption, did the no kill switch test, but over all.. like I said, I just found out what the Bendix was, I'm just waiting for it in the mail.. before I do any more test 👍
Mr V. I enjoy the info from your videos very informative. Wondering if I can get some possible ideas on my scooter problem. I have a fuel injection 2020 zume 125. It stalls from time to time when I'm decelerating / coming to a stop. Not when excellerating or starting. Any ideas would help greatly.
Hello my friend honestly I do not have much experience on fuel injection scooters but my ideas is that you have a air leak in the system but the best you can do is go to scooter culture on face book tinyurl.com/35x2zbsz and place a photo and question there for sure someone in that group have the same problem . Thank you for watching my video
The fuel clogs up in the fuel line and the filter after it sits about 3 days.so you got to push in the clutch and crank it over holding the start switch down til you get the gravity flow fuel lines flowing and you should be holding dow the starter switch dow the whole time til it starts.
Mr. V., my scooter sounds like there are rocks in the engine when I go to start it up. Just replaced spark plug, new boot X 2. Replaced a vacuum line on the right side, to begin with - as it was dogging and the line was visibly broken. Thought I had the wrong type of line. I love my scooter, it has about 5K miles on it. I've checked, changed 4 stroke and gear oil x 2 - which I learned from you. Now my scooter looks like it's having open heart surgery as it sits dismantled in my garage x 2 weeks. Just put in a new battery last weekend, wyed the gas line as you described, checked the fuel via the straw effect - all good. Even upgraded the LED headlamp. Checked fuses - all good. Seriously, I could get a college degree in scooter repair from you. Any thoughts as to the sound and thank you sir, for your videos.
Wow Lynda rocks sound is no good You could open the valve cover and adjust the valves to see if get lucky but I know that sound very well and that could be the crankshaft bearings and to replace that you will have to open a part the all motor and rebuilt gaskets and everything sometimes when you have a problem like that is easier to replace the all motor
2006 260cc chinese scooter with only 5 miles on it . Fixed previous mechanic cut wires to dash, scraped pos wire from starter switch. I took plastics off FIRST to get to wiring loom in front. CDI and Rectifier present, BUT a component is missing. Schematics are unclear what it is. Has @ 6 wires orange, light blue, some power in some of 6 contacts in the plug.Any Ideas? Thanx for any help.
I cleaned out my carburetor I just watch the one with the splitter and I don't think I have my air hose correct could you send a picture maybe of how they are supposed to be connected I don't have a splitter online I'm sure I could go buy one I really enjoy your videos you are so awesome
I wish there was a way I could send you a picture now I know in front of the carburetor that air hose there is two separate things that have a line on them correct and they go into the splitter am I right that one too and the other one is on the side of the carburetor that's the other one that goes into the splitter correct
I have a trailmaster xrs 150. With the Gy6 in it. First year ran & started good. Now it will start hard on cold motor. Ive found the only way I can only get it started easy is by removing the air cleaner. Note the air cleaner is not plugged. Also note I had this problem with stock unadjustable carb & with the new carb I bought that allows you to disassemble & adjust. Any ideas to solve my hard cold starts? Thanks
HI, My 50cc all of a sudden will not start when I push the button,,,no sound at all, no cranking, battery good, horn and brake light work,,when I short the starter relay with a screwdriver it cranks, I bought a new switch and still nothing,,,what do you think I should do now? TY for the video
do you think running a stronger bulb could pull to much current and prevent the sparkplug from sparking inside the cylinder but sparks just fine outside? but i could still get it to start from kicking it over just not push start
Hello Gage that is possible but if the sparkplug is sparking and discharging on the outside you have a crack on the outside of the ceramic of the plug or a broken center electrode so you should replace the sparkplug if you have a scooter with a cvt transmission you can not push start your motorcycle if your scooter is starting with kickstart but not with a push button you have a bad fuse. Thank you for watching my video
Hello yes you need a petcock or you can bypass just for testing the scooter or you can place a manual fuel switch th-cam.com/video/J0hvzbWpMVY/w-d-xo.html
If your new TaoTao scooter starts but cuts off shortly afterward, there could be several potential reasons for this issue. Here are some common issues and troubleshooting steps: Fuel System Issues: Fuel Quality: Ensure that you are using clean and high-quality fuel. Bad or contaminated fuel can lead to engine problems. Fuel Flow: Check if there are any obstructions in the fuel line. Make sure the fuel is flowing freely to the carburetor. Carburetor Problems: Adjustment: The carburetor may need adjustment. Check the air-fuel mixture and idle settings. If the mixture is too lean or rich, it can cause stalling. Cleaning: The carburetor might be dirty or clogged. Clean the carburetor and ensure that all jets and passages are clear. Ignition System: Spark Plug: Examine the spark plug for signs of fouling or wear. Replace it if necessary. Ignition Coil: Check the ignition coil and spark plug wire for proper connections. A faulty ignition coil could cause intermittent stalling. Air Intake: Air Filter: Make sure the air filter is clean and not restricting airflow. A clogged air filter can affect engine performance. Vacuum Leaks: Hoses and Gaskets: Inspect hoses and gaskets for any leaks that could lead to a loss of vacuum pressure. A vacuum leak can affect engine performance. Electrical Issues: Battery: Ensure that the battery is fully charged and in good condition. Weak or faulty batteries may cause stalling. Wiring: Check for loose or damaged wires in the ignition and electrical system. Exhaust System: Exhaust Blockage: Make sure there are no obstructions in the exhaust system that could restrict the flow of exhaust gases. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting the scooter yourself, it's advisable to take it to a qualified mechanic or contact the dealer where you purchased it. They may be able to diagnose and fix the issue under warranty if it's a new scooter
I'm having a problem with 150 gy6 .the bike won't shut off with key or kill switch. I went through your videos and couldn't find one in reference to my problem. If you have video please send me a link.thanks in advance
Hey I have a 150cc moped I changed my exhaust now it doesn’t sound the same and the pressure from. The muffler is weak if you know what I mean because before i could turn the throttle and and put my head. On the muffler and feel a lot of pressure now it’s a little bit can that be a gasket?
Hello if you change the muffler with a different style you will get a different sound and different pressure there is a possibility that the connector at the gasket is not flush and you have leak from there so if that is the problem you can try to place a double gasket
virberello GY6 Scooter Tips cool thanks I will try to get a double gasket because the one I have now is black and old and some debris came off after putting it too so maybe that’s why thanks I’ll post my first video of before and after I’ll take you in it thanks man your the best when it comes fixing moped you give good details
Videos are up on my page if you don’t mind Listening to the sound your ears are probably better I tagged you don’t know if it worked but yeah there on my page thanks so much
What could be wrong with my scooter if it still won’t start even after following all the steps with applying brake etc? I was able to get it started with kickstart and then when I went to try driving it, the front tire wouldn’t move. The brake pads were too close to the disc/rotor (?) and I turned the scooter off. When I tried to restart it, it won’t do anything. The start button to get it going without kickstart doesn’t even seem to be working. It’s a Razor 150cc. Brand new and already so much trouble (still don’t know what’s wrong with brakes issue). Thanks so much for your help.
Hello Erin if you can start the scooter with the kickstart you have a burn fuse at the battery or the battery is bad regarding the brake I have the feeling that your scooter is being seating for long time and the brake fluid is getting really thick inside your break lines or the caliper so problem could be at the brake resevoir or inside the caliper solution is try to empty the all system big flush also leave the caliper under oil for one night at the end if you can not fix the problem with the flush I suggest to buy a new front brake set up remember your life depend on it. Thank you for watching my video
I bought a scooter last week and I’ve had it running once and I’ve not been able to get running since it just turns over and very very hard to start when it did start
Hello Bruh you have to checks many things in these scooters to make sure they are running perfect like a spark plug test to make sure you have a good clear spark a perfect gap at the spark plug a good valve clearance and you have to make sure your carburetor is clean after all this your scooter will run close to perfection. Thank you for watching my video
I just got a scooter on a trade it starts with starting fluid but won't stay running its and it missing the electric choke and I put fresh gas in it no fuel cap what else can check for
I have a 150cc tao tao that won't stay running... I was driving it when the throttle cable snapped... Should've been able to just put the new cable on and go but it would no longer start... Now I can only get it to start if I jump it so I know I need a new battery however it will not stay on for more than a second or two...What can i do?
Hello to pin point the problem with your 150cc Tao Tao scooter you should do few things: Ensure the new throttle cable is correctly installed and adjusted. Replace the old battery with a new one and ensure it's fully charged. Check the fuel system for blockages or old fuel. Consider cleaning the carburetor. Inspect the spark plug, ignition system, and electrical connections. Verify the air filter is clean and the exhaust system is not blocked. Use fresh, clean fuel and check for fuel or vacuum leaks. Check engine compression. I hope this can help you
On my scooter, the great that the starter turns flops around and doesn't seem to sit right...I fixed my kick starter mechanism but after reinstalling the cover I tried the starter and it made a weird noise and a puff of smoke came from the starter lol...idk if it still works but my kick start does but what's up with that loose gear by the variator? Thanks
Hi! Can you help me, I have a scooter Conti ts125cs. At first it started with a clicking sound of a solinoid while starting it , I just taped the starter with a screwdriver and tried again it started... following day I try to start and it gave me dizzy noise like ZING!!ZING!! from the engine like it's failing to turn...I took out the starter tested it and it's working....did a research and usually it's a starter Bendix...so I opened from the Bell housing side but I didn't find that starter Bendix so I was about to go for the stator side but I saw a video on TH-cam and I don't see it. Because I wanted to find it and try to lubricate it!.......I'm confused can you please help me!!!
Hello my friend that sound like is the starter clutch try to check video about that I need to remove lots of parts before you get to the starter clutch
I have a 250 4-stroke GY6, I put a new battery, spark plug, ignition coil, CDI, and New choke & cable. It turns over but will not start? What do you think is the problem?
Hello Robert The first thing I will do a spark plug test to make sure you have a clear and strong spark after that I will check the valves clearance and adjust the valves to make sure the camber is not getting air somewhere after that I will deep the spark plug in fuel and place it back in the motor and try to start to see if you can get a sign of life anyway my friend many time is trail and error to find a problem . Thank you for watching my video and be safe
I have a 2022 icebear rocket yn. The wiring harness is expensive in my opinion but there are many offers on Amazon. How can I tell which one is the right one? Do you have an email address
Love the video brother definitely got a like from me one thing about your videos they're always super informative you have a lot of people on the internet that are secretive about everything makes no sense why they post videos thanks man waving my hand from gville
Hello Andy I try to do my best to explain little beat in the video why sometime the scooter doesn't wont to start and many time or every time is a challenge and I allays tell my scooter I win you don't ah ah ah . I hope you doing good in gville thank you for watching my video and be safe
I bought a 2011 Kymco Agility 125cc for $400. It has 4.5 miles on. Had been sitting all this time...Still brand new. With the variator/clutch cover off, I use a 17mm socket on the variator nut to try and start it, with a high speed drill. I start my other scooter that way, no problem, but the 125 spins a couple of revolutions then binds. It seems like too much compression but it has 4.5 miles on. It's like new. It kills the battery and the kickstart wont get it to spin fast enough...Is there anything that you can suggest?
Hello John remove the spark plug and spray little wd40 inside the hole in the cylinder area after dip the lower part of the spark plug in fuel and place the spark plug back in the motor try to start the scooter if that is not going to work you have to open the top end of the motor and look inside to see what is the problem
@@VirberelloScooterTips I tried all of that Sir. I took the valve cover off and everything was new and moving properly. Yet, after one or two revolutions it gets hard to turn again. With the plug out, it seems to spin just fine but i still get the same problem when the plug is in. I try with the battery and my battery dies within a moment. Everything else seems fine. I have a 50cc that starts up fine. It's a 2019 Gator. It had 4 miles on it when I bought new. It has 12,336 miles on it and it purrs like a kitten. So I know the 125cc, if it has 4 miles on it, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it. They bought and stored it, never riding it.
I have a venom x18 100cc battery is fine no start. Bike is new . The bike is new . Cranked and died and won’t . Wont even crank now . Dash light and brake lights activate . I took out the spark plug and it’s dirty . I cleaned it but no start . I replaced the fuse off the battery . Should I get new spark plug before I mess with the performance ignition coil or stater relay ?
Hello Miles If you like you can place a new sparkplug but sometime just by cleaning the spark plug with brake cleaner will work fine . If your scooter is not starting try to do a spark plug test to see if you have spark
@@VirberelloScooterTips hey update i replaced the solinoid ,the spark plug and the fuse. It is a dong fang x18 100cc .The battery is fresh dash lights up and brake lights go on.. I recently had a new ignition coil and racing CDI installed, I tried the screwdriver trick with the relay and it cranks..any idea what could be going on with it?also the spark plug boot looks a bit burned at the spark plug end.
Hi.... I have a problem with my keeway f act 50 2 stroke... When i try to start the engine for the first time, i can t do it until i take air filter off and cover the carburetor with my hand... After i start it, and i put the air filter back and the engine it s a bit warm, the scooter starts with no problems... But when the engine gets cold again i have to do same thing again and again... Do u have any advice???
Hello Sebi I do not have to much experience on 50cc and 2 stroke are little more delicate anyway some how there is and unbalance of Air and fuel it could be a leak at the manifold or try to clean the carburetor if the jets need to be cleaned. Thank you for watching my video
If you haven't changed your spark plug. Start with that. It sounds like a problem with your choke or fuel pump. When you cover the intake you are pulling more fuel. I think the fuel petcock is vacuum operated . 2t engines need a lot of fuel at first . 2ts run great after warmed up. There is also a notch on the carburetor you need to line up to ensure it is making the right mixture.
It was working on and off one day I called to start my bike and the lights in - was not working then I'd go to start it and it was working now for the past couple of days it's been doing it more and now if I start it when the lights are not on the idle also does not idle properly say if I shut it off and I go to put it back on and the lights happened to work then the idle works perfectly fine the idle only revs high when i start it with the headlights dont turn on when i start the bike please help?
Hello Alexis you need to check the yellow wire coming from the stator to see if is producing a good AC and balanced voltage with the multimeter if that is not the problem could be the Voltage Regulator Rectifier that is going crazy amzn.to/3mFsYqZ
Hello my friend they should give you at list 60 to 90 days warranty the best you can do just ask the mechanic if it can do something about that. Thank you for watching my video
Hello my friend did you try partsforscooters com or NIBBI Racing Parts No Rev GY6 Performance DC CDI 6Pin amzn.to/3bNaWLb thank you for watching my video
Amazing coverage of every possible issue, thanks a lot Georgio! I’ve got a Chinese scooter that always needs five six tries (play with gas) to start when the engine is cold, the other day it just went off after riding at 55kmh.. can you help me understand that?
Hello Mishka Fein I have a feeling that you have a compression problem or a gap problem at the spark plug that is why is not starting right away . If is compression you need to adjust your valves clearance if is the spark plug I will replace that with the new iridium spark plug amzn.to/2CWRLSA that will give you better performance about the fact that the scooter went off after riding at 55kmh the problem could be valve clearance or fuel flow or bad stator. I hope this can help you a little beat feel free to contact me anytime for any questions and thank you for watching my video
I have a 2017 bms Prestige scooter drove it to put gas in it once i fulled it up an tried to start it wouldn't an gas started coming out the air filter what could be the problem
Hello James sometime to much gas goes inside the motor and flooded the engine , excessively rich air-fuel mixture cannot be ignited until the excessively rich mixture has been cleared. So remove the spark plug and run the motor without the plug for 20 second after that put the sparkplug back and try to start the scooter. I hope this can help you
Hello I have been having trouble starting my bike I seem to think I have the hosing wrong. Is there an email I can email you at to send pictures? There is an open hose near the rear tire after I took off the air box, and also a exposed front hose near the spark plug that is loose that goes to the engine. Very confused. Your help is greatly appreciated, you have gotten me this far.
Hello if you have a hose very close to rear wheel in top of the cvt cover that is ok that is the breather for the transmission gear that has to stay open if you see a hose at the head of your motor that is open is ok that is the hose for the positive pressure for the motor and many times is connected with the top air filter to breathe you have to make sure if your scooter is not starting that the vaccum hose is connected to the manifold in front of the carb . Remember if you have trouble starting your scooter need only 3 thinks Spark+Fuel + compression. Feel free to contact me at FB Virberello Scooters Tips & Tricks or e mail virberellogameon at g mail but let me know when you send something in here because I do not check anymore the in box to much time ah ah ah
virberello GY6 Scooter Tips ok I will remember that. Yea I’ve just been having trouble hooking up this performance carb... it ran for like 20 minutes then starting bogged. I believe it has something to do with fuel.
Hello Robert if you do not have a spark you need a multimeter to test first the sparkplug then the spark plug boot and the wire/coil for continuity after that if everything test ok you will need to replace the CDI because there is not a perfect way to test the cdi so the best is to change that and on line they are around 8 to 10 dollars after that if your scooter is not starting and you still not have a spark you will need to test your stator or replace it unfortunately when you have a electrical problem is a big headache
Hi, I've got a Kymco agility city+125 won't start. I'm trying to locate the cdi box in my Kymco but I couldn't but there a thing called coil assy ignition ( coil with a spark plug cap and connect to some sort of a barrel but the two called coil assy ignition. Apology for this confusion but what that be the cdi box but it's called something else by Kymco?
Hello I'm not to familiar with your scooter but many times Kynco place the CDI box next to the battery under the floormate or in front of the motor attached to the frame
Hello George you will have lots of fun to fix your scooter and you will get lots of knowledge if you need I have lots of videos in my YT channel but if you don’t find the video connect to your problem always feel free to contact me 👍
Hello Again I replaced the batteries in my two scooter. They look just like the one you show in your videos, Anyway put in Auto-zone Batteries 4L- BS They seem a little small but start and seem to work ok. My question has anyone tried putting in a Lawn tractor battery? as I wondered They seem cheaper & better but some modification would be needed. I just don't like these replacement batteries as it seems every year I am replacing these batteries. Looking for one better and longer lasting. Thanks
Hello Wm S I did not yet try to place a Lawn tractor battery on my scooter but that sound good if the quality is better the only thing I'm worry is the size but if the battery is 12v 7amp or little more up to 9amp is a great idea
Best option imo is just remove the battery during the winter. If you leave them in the scooter in the cold for long periods of time it will permanently kill it and won't be able to hold a charge. But yes u can use a tractor battery as long as its 12 volt and the cranking amps aren't to much higher than the original
Hello Tim I think you need to play with the wire the best thing is to look and search on line for gy6 150 cc scooter electrical diagram I think we can get few ideas from that. Thank you for watching my video
Hello Mr. Virberello ! I had my scooter parked a few years Watched your video. Sure helped out but know only runs 1/4 speed and faster it starts to sputter and not run good. I let it run and tried to get it going slow and easy but never get it going any faster. I drained the tank and installed new fuel Washed the lines with carb cleaner and in stalled new spark plug Q? do you think the Fuel pump maybe gummed up I tried cleaning with carb cleaner but thats the best it wants to run for now. Also thinking maybe the plug might have fouled out by putting that Sta built cleaner in carb like you did in that no run video. Took me while but got it running just not 100% yet. Also I have 2 of these scooters a 2005 & 2008 with less then 1500 mi. How much do you think they are worth They are Vento brand. Please let me know & Thanks So much. Like your videos !!! Maybe make a new videp like my problem I have would be a good one to do. If your still making them ... Thanks again..
Hello Wm S there is a possibility that the fuel pump is gummed up also you have to make sure the carburetor is clean and the upper carburetor diaphragm is steel good and flexible about the scooters I think they are worth around $750 to $800 each. I have few more videos to make but now in Florida is to hot 100+ so I will wait a little . Thank you for watching my video
hey love the videos having an issue when i drive my moped for around 10-30 minutes then it bogs down and when i accelerate it turn off then it wont start till it cools down any help
Hello Vselly I have the feeling that your need to inspect you fuel cup make sure that is clean because there is a possibility that is making a vacuum in the tank but if you say that this happen after 10 to 20 minutes this is a sign of a bad stator because one of the wire in the poles get very hot and get disconnected and when it cool down like magic reconnect himself so the best way is to replace your stator or if is a 4 stroke scooter try to check the valves clearance that can help to. Thank you for watching my video
Hello I place premium fuel but lately even that I do not think is to good because they put lots of extra additive that are not to good for scooter rubber hoses and gaskets
My scooter sat for 5 years. We had drained all the fuel out. It starts and runs very well now it’s just very hard to start cold. Runs and starts fine when warmed up. Takes minutes of cranking to start cold. I hand choke the air intake just to get it to start. What should I check? Thank you
My daughter just bought a used scooter last week. It cranked fine and drove fine with no weird sounds. After sitting for the week, we tried to start it. It tried to turn over initially, but wouldn't crank. Then it just hums when trying to start. I'm thinking starter maybe?? I feel like she was taken. I don't understand how it worked fine while the guy was standing there, but won't crank now. Also, it has a kick start and it's not turning over at all that way. Help!
Hello twinkle4703 when a scooter is not starting you will to ask yourself few question Do I have a clear and strong spark ? Do I have fuel in my tank ? Does the fuel flow to my carburetor ? Is my carburetor jets clean ? by asking this question to you and searching on youtube you will make your scooter working again in no time
Hello my friend I do not recommend those products because they are little to strong in the long way I have the feeling that they will damage the rubber fuel petcock valve and the rubber carburetor diaphragm but if you like to clean the carburetor you can open that and spray with carb cleaner nothing mix with fuel . Thank you for watching my video
So I was riding my 150cc scooter and I hit a speed bump on the bottom of the scooter now it wont start.. it just turns over. What do you think could the problem?
My spark plug blow out i put it back in now it won't start, I have spark, my cdi works but it won't start if it does rpms goes high then shuts off, I tried it today now its not starting at all, any advice before I bring it to the shop
Hello Leroy if the spark plug blow out you could have a broken piston because the only thing that can push out a sparkplug from the inside is the piston at this point the best thing to do is to have a compression tester and see if you have compression and you will need to have a minimum of 175 psi to have a good running scooter you can check the valves that is easy thing to do but you could have an internal engine problem and for sure you will need to retread the sparkplug hole too with the right tool sometime that can also happen if water was inside the cylinder space because you can not compress water like fuel
Hey.. so my scooter 139qmb 3 days was starting perfect.. but when comes 4 and 5 day.. it was not starting perfectly.. i changed fuel filter it starts right up but then it not start good again.. sometimes it is just not starting.. so whats the problem.. maybe u can tell? Btw i like ur vids👍🏼👍🏼🔥
Hello Jeremy try to do an inspection at the manifold to make sue is not cracked on also try to inspect the vacuum hose to make sure is not broken. Thank you for watching my video
Hello my friend did you connect the vacuum line to the petcock the right way ? is the new petcock the problem ? did you try to connect a direct hose from the tank to the carb to test is the scooter work ? thank you for watching my video
Hello there, I have a gilera runner 125 problem, bike was running fine for a month then started giving trouble. It would bog down if acceleration to much and spark plug came out whilst riding, recently changed pipe under petrol tank due to leaks and changed spark plug and now it dont wont to start. Battery light is on when ignition turnt on. Can you help me with any tips pls
Hello Ak Gainsta I will remove the carburetor and clean all the jets and make sure the manifold is not cracked also try to do a spark plug test to make sure you have a perfect and clear spark. I hope this can help you
@@VirberelloScooterTips thanks for replying I took out the carb yesterday day cleaned it and still nothing I've just done a video on my scooter can you look at the video and see or hear the problem as I'm still investigating
@@kyle88_71 Hello my friend check the spark plug after you try to start if the plug is wet look like you are getting fuel in the cylinder so there is a possibility that you need to do a compression test or just adjust the valves but research on line because I'm not to familiar with your scooter
@@VirberelloScooterTips I double checked everything and cleaned the carb jets and changed battery it started up in high revs but then shut off due to throttle cable needs replacing, thanks for you help
scooter stopped running suddenly..It cranks and I got good spark the carbs good put a new one in did a valve adjustment still cranks doesnt run..Its got to be a compression problem..scooters new only 5 months old..I ordered a big bore kit Ill tear the engine apart a put the new big bore and cylinder head on and shoud fix the problem..RIght..Because everything else is fine..Its a compression iussue
Hello my friend Verify Compression: Use a compression tester to confirm if compression is the issue. Check Timing: Ensure the engine timing is correct. Inspect Fuel and Air Systems: Check fuel delivery, air filter, and exhaust for obstructions. Review Valve Adjustment: Double-check valve adjustment.
Dude - love your videos. I've got a Chinese scooter (PGO metro 125) The thing starts instantly and "runs" perfectly but will not idle. The only way to keep it running is to have the idle so high it stays engaged. No matter what level I set the idle it either stalls or keeps moving when I try to come to a stop. Looking at all your videos I'm thinking it might be a vacuum issue. I watched your video on how to test a pet cock. I followed the instructions and it seemed to work well. Any ideas?
Hey there, thanks for the support and I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! It sounds like you're dealing with a tricky issue on your PGO Metro 125 scooter. It's great that you've already taken the initiative to troubleshoot and test the petcock based on one of my videos. Since your scooter starts easily but won't idle and stalls when you try to come to a stop, it does indeed point towards a potential vacuum-related problem. Here are a few steps you could consider to further diagnose and potentially resolve the issue: Idle Adjustment: Double-check the idle adjustment screw on your carburetor. Make sure it's set correctly according to the manufacturer's specifications. Sometimes, a minor adjustment can make a significant difference. Vacuum Lines: Examine all vacuum lines for cracks, leaks, or disconnections. A vacuum leak can disrupt the air-fuel mixture and affect idle stability. Ensure that all connections are secure and the lines are in good condition. Intake Manifold: Inspect the intake manifold for any cracks or leaks. A leak in the intake manifold can introduce unwanted air and upset the air-fuel mixture. Carburetor Cleaning: Your carburetor might be dirty or clogged, affecting the fuel flow. Consider cleaning the carburetor thoroughly, including all jets and passages. Reassemble it carefully once cleaned. Air Filter: A clogged or dirty air filter can also impact idle and overall performance. Make sure your air filter is clean and properly seated. Fuel Quality: Ensure you're using fresh, clean fuel. Old or contaminated fuel can lead to running issues. Idle Jet: Check the idle jet inside the carburetor. It might be partially blocked, affecting idle performance. Cleaning or replacing the idle jet could help. Throttle Cable: Verify that the throttle cable is properly adjusted and not binding. A stuck throttle cable can prevent proper idle operation. Carburetor Rebuild: If none of the above steps yield positive results, consider a carburetor rebuild kit. Over time, carburetor components can wear out, and a rebuild might restore optimal performance. Remember, diagnosing and fixing such issues might require some trial and error. If you're not comfortable performing these tasks yourself, it's always a good idea to seek the assistance of a qualified mechanic who specializes in scooters. I hope this helps you get your scooter idling smoothly again!
@@VirberelloScooterTips Above and beyond. I'm really grateful for your thoughtful response. Fan for life. Some of these things I've done - cleaned carb but there are definitely a few things I need to look at! That air filter is a great place to start then on to the manifold. Thank you again!
My scooter is trying to start but it's not kicking over as is trying to start I do not know what's wrong with it I put a new CDI box on it a new starter
Hello Kr Kr to start the motor you need spark + compression + fuel I will do a spark plug test first them I will make sure the carb is clean and at the end I will check the valves and them I will try to start the scooter again to see
@@VirberelloScooterTips hey buddy thank you so much for your help I did everything on my scooter I could not figure out the problem I put a new CDI box on my scooter it starts right up good now
Hello my friend start from the basic check if you have spark if you don’t you have an electrical problem if you do have spark you have a fuel problem check if the fuel get to your carburetor. Thank you for watching my video
It seems like you're experiencing some trouble with your newly purchased 150cc vehicle. Several issues could be causing the problem you described. Let's go through some common troubleshooting steps to help you diagnose and possibly fix the issue: Check the fuel: Make sure there is enough fuel in the tank and that the fuel valve is turned on if your vehicle has one. Inspect the spark plug: A faulty spark plug can prevent the engine from starting. Check if the spark plug is clean and not worn out. If it's dirty or damaged, consider replacing it. Check the battery: Ensure the battery is adequately charged. A weak battery might not provide enough power to start the engine properly. Fuel delivery system: Check if the fuel filter is clogged or if there are any issues with the fuel lines or carburetor. Clean or replace the filter if necessary. Air intake and filter: Make sure the air intake and filter are clean and not obstructed. A dirty air filter can lead to stalling issues. Check for fuel quality: If the fuel is old or contaminated, it might cause starting problems. Consider draining the old fuel and adding fresh, high-quality fuel. Inspect the ignition system: Issues with the ignition coil or other components in the ignition system can lead to starting problems. Have a mechanic check and test these components if needed. Examine the choke and throttle: Ensure that the choke and throttle are functioning correctly. Improper adjustment might cause stalling. Verify the kill switch: Make sure the kill switch is not engaged accidentally, as it will prevent the engine from starting. Compression test: If none of the above steps solve the issue, there might be a problem with the engine's compression. A mechanic can perform a compression test to check for any internal engine issues. If you're not confident in diagnosing or fixing the problem yourself, it's best to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic or the dealership where you bought it. They should be able to identify the issue and perform the necessary repairs. If the vehicle is still under warranty, don't hesitate to take advantage of it for any repairs or adjustments needed. Thank you!
Hello John thank you for watching my video
Thanks Georgio! I wish you had been around when I needed a new battery! I gutted the whole thing just to find out it was a simple fix

Hello Daniel thank you for watching my video and be safe
What was the issue? I'm having the same problem on a kymco agility
Hi .really very good explanation
Please tell me what I have to do because I have filed up the tank diesel instead patrol
What is the solution
Many thanks 🙏
You will have to drain the fuel tank drain the carb from the drain valve remove the spark plug and run the scooter without the plug for 10 seconds clean the spark plug put it back fill the scooter with high octane fuel and you should be ok

The shop is called Boca Scooters…
I am NOT convinced that they did honest work but I don’t know know for sure.
I would like to have it turn on normally. (without having to have to spray the carb cleaner every time)
I believe that I need to work on the carburetor again or get replaced altogether OR get a valve adjustment. I would like to bring it to a different shop but I don’t know really where to start.
Gas is clean, premium used (50CC 2018 Buddy)
Carb JUST got cleaned but NOT positive they did honest work……..
Spark plug all new.
Where should I start from here?
Hello first you should check the carbutator for sure needs to be cleaned very good and the jets or if the the carb is old need to be rebuild or replaced because many times the rubber or plastic parts get demage from Ethanol in the fuel after check the fuel lines and the vacuum lines that can help and if you live in WPB go to Luis in georgia ave an souther blvd is very good but if you can do it yourself you save lots of money
thank you from Romania sir ! you are a great maestrio

- engine not crank
- the engine sound "tik tik" when turn on ignition.
I will check it later. Tqvm

Thanks for all these videos! Keep them coming. Maybe with different types of scooters/brands too eventually
Did the 80cc swap on 49cc
But it turns a couple times slow and then slows down and stop
It wont start!
Compresion yeah? Certainly not baterry the horn honks.. or mayve starter celinoid not strong enough now? Omgosh sheeesh
Edit**** update
Battery took my car battery out and hooked it to scoot scoot and start right up. The original battery was not strong enough definitely try that if youre having trouble on first start . She pulllllin now boys! Wooooooooooo
It took me 2 full days but im telling you it is totally!
I was riding the other night went to get gas and it would not crank just spend. Now it doesn't do anything. The solenoid click but nothing.
Best advertising I have ever seen . I wish u in my city
Hello my friend thank you for watching my video
Ima have to check my gas cap fir that lil hole he was talking about . I don't think mine has ine in it idk but i need to see if it does
What if ur spark plug did click in the boot at ine time but disent now how do i fix that problem .or do u have ti buy a new coil . ?
The fuel clogs up in the fuel line and the filter after it sits about 3 days.so you got to push in the clutch and crank it over holding the start switch down til you get the gravity flow fuel lines flowing and you should be holding dow the starter switch dow the whole time til it starts.
Great idea thank you sharing
Delivered NEW June 2021. It has about 5K miles on it.
The rocks sounds like it's coming from around the EGR Cover.
Wow Lynda rocks sound is no good You could open the valve cover and adjust the valves to see if get lucky but I know that sound very well and that could be the crankshaft bearings and to replace that you will have to open a part the all motor and rebuilt gaskets and everything sometimes when you have a problem like that is easier to replace the all motor
in the 13th minute, what is that thing that looks a bit like a spark plug but has the two wires connected to it?
Hello Chad that is the carburator enricher or automatic choke check this video th-cam.com/video/gjFLZNqX97A/w-d-xo.html

Also any parts and ways to improve handling..my suspension is "diablo".
Do you need a petcock on your moped, or can you bypass it? I dont see one on my moped, and it ran twice, currently wont start 😢
Hello yes you need a petcock or you can bypass just for testing the scooter or you can place a manual fuel switch th-cam.com/video/J0hvzbWpMVY/w-d-xo.html
Hi I reccently bought a new taotao scooter and it will start but cut off what do you think the problem is
If your new TaoTao scooter starts but cuts off shortly afterward, there could be several potential reasons for this issue. Here are some common issues and troubleshooting steps:
Fuel System Issues:
Fuel Quality: Ensure that you are using clean and high-quality fuel. Bad or contaminated fuel can lead to engine problems.
Fuel Flow: Check if there are any obstructions in the fuel line. Make sure the fuel is flowing freely to the carburetor.
Carburetor Problems:
Adjustment: The carburetor may need adjustment. Check the air-fuel mixture and idle settings. If the mixture is too lean or rich, it can cause stalling.
Cleaning: The carburetor might be dirty or clogged. Clean the carburetor and ensure that all jets and passages are clear.
Ignition System:
Spark Plug: Examine the spark plug for signs of fouling or wear. Replace it if necessary.
Ignition Coil: Check the ignition coil and spark plug wire for proper connections. A faulty ignition coil could cause intermittent stalling.
Air Intake:
Air Filter: Make sure the air filter is clean and not restricting airflow. A clogged air filter can affect engine performance.
Vacuum Leaks:
Hoses and Gaskets: Inspect hoses and gaskets for any leaks that could lead to a loss of vacuum pressure. A vacuum leak can affect engine performance.
Electrical Issues:
Battery: Ensure that the battery is fully charged and in good condition. Weak or faulty batteries may cause stalling.
Wiring: Check for loose or damaged wires in the ignition and electrical system.
Exhaust System:
Exhaust Blockage: Make sure there are no obstructions in the exhaust system that could restrict the flow of exhaust gases.
If you're not comfortable troubleshooting the scooter yourself, it's advisable to take it to a qualified mechanic or contact the dealer where you purchased it. They may be able to diagnose and fix the issue under warranty if it's a new scooter
I didn't get the link to the GY6 cuberater so I can buy one
Hello amzn.to/3rg0SXT carb for gy6 150cc only 25 dollars great deal and thank you for watching my video
Why is it that nobody is talking about the problem I’m having.
Videos are up on my page if you don’t mind Listening to the sound your ears are probably better I tagged you don’t know if it worked but yeah there on my page thanks so much
Thanks it was the gasket and found another leak at the muffler part it came with no gasket for that part thanks alot

Hello to pin point the problem with your 150cc Tao Tao scooter you should do few things:
Ensure the new throttle cable is correctly installed and adjusted.
Just by taking the time to do the video is worth the like thank's

Hello Mishka Fein I have a feeling that you have a compression problem or a gap problem at the spark plug that is why is not starting right away . If is compression you need to adjust your valves clearance if is the spark plug I will replace that with the new iridium spark plug amzn.to/2CWRLSA that will give you better performance about the fact that the scooter went off after riding at 55kmh the problem could be valve clearance or fuel flow or bad stator.

I did spark a plug test, there are no sparks coming from spark plug, what do you think is the problem?
Hello Robert if you do not have a spark you need a multimeter to test first the sparkplug then the spark plug boot and the wire/coil for continuity after that if everything test ok you will need to replace the CDI because there is not a perfect way to test the cdi so the best is to change that and on line they are around 8 to 10 dollars after that if your scooter is not starting and you still not have a spark you will need to test your stator or replace it unfortunately when you have a electrical problem is a big headache
Did you ever figure out what it was??

I drained the tank and installed new fuel Washed the lines with carb cleaner and in stalled new spark plug Q? do you think the Fuel pump maybe gummed up I tried cleaning with carb cleaner but thats the best it wants to run for now. Hello Wm S there is a possibility that the fuel pump is gummed up also you have to make sure the carburetor is clean and the upper carburetor diaphragm is steel good and flexible about the scooters I think they are worth around $750 to $800 each. hey love the videos having an issue when i drive my moped for around 10-30 minutes then it bogs down and when i accelerate it turn off then it wont start till it cools down any help

My spark plug blow out i put it back in now it won't start, I have spark, my cdi works but it won't start if it does rpms goes high then shuts off, I tried it today now its not starting at all, any advice before I bring it to the shop
Hello Leroy if the spark plug blow out you could have a broken piston because the only thing that can push out a sparkplug from the inside is the piston at this point the best thing to do is to have a compression tester and see if you have compression and you will need to have a minimum of 175 psi to have a good running scooter you can check the valves that is easy thing to do but you could have an internal engine problem and for sure you will need to retread the sparkplug hole too with the right tool sometime that can also happen if water was inside the cylinder space because you can not compress water like fuel
thats alot for me to do now, so I'll bring it in to shop, thank you very much

Here are a few steps you could consider to further diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:
Idle Adjustment: Double-check the idle adjustment screw on your carburetor.

Just bought a 150cc wont turn over just makes the start up noice then stalls out
It seems like you're experiencing some trouble with your newly purchased 150cc vehicle. Several issues could be causing the problem you described. Let's go through some common troubleshooting steps to help you diagnose and possibly fix the issue:
Check the fuel: Make sure there is enough fuel in the tank and that the fuel valve is turned on if your vehicle has one.
