  • There are times we want to have the SCALE under our View to simply say NTS or NOT TO SCALE... But how do you do that?

    Hey Mike. Great Tip! Funny I use the scale drop down and Custom dialogue all the time and never noticed that you could type over the scale! duH!! ha.. Thank you!

    Hi you are a great instructor I benefited from your cut and fill video
    I'm a new Revit learner and have some questions can I use Revit to calculate the amount of the backfill after placing isolated footings of a building on a site and can I calculate the footing and grade beam insulation quantity using Revit

      Ok.. I did some testing and found that if you add a Building Pad... the cut/fill IS calculated (and when you change the toposurface). But when you add a wall and footings... the cut/fill is NOT calculated. So the only want to get it to calculate is for you to create spread or isolated footings with the Building Pad tool (on the Massing/Site Tab). That way it will work for you exactly as you need it to!!! Good question, thanks!
