WOW! We'll never hear THAT played any better, and hardly ever as well again. Hs approach is so SERENE, MATURE, AUTHORITATIVE, and his playing, though powerful, incredibly brilliant and magnificently articulated in the passagework is SPACIOUS and downright MAJESTIC. And, as I've said of some of his other work, his SOUND is possibly the best in the business. Just superb! And he did NOT win Firt Prize? Who DID? Surely, there could be no one any BETTER! Just a GLORIOUDS achievement!!
40:07 The passion and energy of the end of the 3rd movement. The scales going up and down and then finally the last note knocks him back. He knows he killed it 🙏 bravo young man
(This is genius! I didn’t know that Chopin can be played in such a symphonic manner with large smear (like Bethoven or Rachmaninov) but at the same time so poetic! This is new! Bravo, Lucas, but bravo and the GREAT Vera Gornostaeva. This is school!)
Not to offend anyone, and I do love watching all performances from the Chopin Institute, but surely this highlights the absurdity of musical competitions. The idea that anyone with ears and a heart could listen to this and somehow find something lacking... Tiny margins and totally subjective. Music shouldn't be competitive if it means excellence doesn't get the respect it deserves.
Raghad; Yes ,that violinist turns up everywhere. I saw them in Tescos a few weeks ago, and then playing poker in one of the the local pubs yesterday evening.

MANY COMPLAINTS JHAVE BEEN LODGED AGAINST CHOPIN´S ORCHESTRAL SCORE IN THE PIANO CONCERTOS AS BEING JUST SERVICABLE. WELL THE ORCCHESTRAL SCORE IS S RICH AS ANY ROMANTIC MUSIC FOR PIANO OF THE PERIOD. SHUMANN, BRAHMS, ETC.
@@thegreenpianist7683 It’s hard to recall where one sees these things there are so many Internet sources. The phrasing is just beyond beautiful. Such long phrases, beautifully connected within. Tension building, ebbing and flowing.

What a delicate and beautiful trill
NOT ONLY IS LUKAS A GREAT PIANIST BUT HE IS ALSO HANDSOME AS TRISTAN IN AN WAGNER OPERA, OR MAYABE AN ALEXANDER OR ANTINOUS.
HE HAS IT ALL.

It was Yulianna avdeeva who won, as you ask, and who won the prize for best concert was Ingolf Wunder

Where is this guy's standing ovation? C'mon guys de absolutely deserves it.
Pan Fryderyk Chopin jest dumą Polski! Cały naród jest z niego dumny! 🇵🇱
Beautiful !
I love Lukas...is a genius of the piano. I do not understand why he didn t win
I heard him play once, and I'm in love. He's my winner.
Such precision, timing, and confidence in dynamic control. Exceptional.
Exquisite performance, distinguished taste
very strong coda, best interpretation of this piece i've heard on yt so far
Exquisite! What a true artist!
MAESTRALNO!!!!!!!!!!!
Grand raffinement.

Nunca subestime o melhor compositor do piano.
The ads are making this 10 times better.

noblesse!
The best interpretation i have ever heard
For this Chopin Concerto, Yundi, by far!
In my opinion Blechacz is outstanding!
This and ingolf one are the best in my opinion
He should be the first prize
The best!
This one and ingolf's one are on the same level i think, bot wonderful
Way better than Avdeeva imo
And Daniil
I guess you could call him Lukas GENIUSas

I'm sure I've seen the first violinist in the last scene of The Pianist, playing chopin's grande polonaise brillante🤔
