I remember they tried to keep all the athletes in their seats, finally they gave up and let them storm the field to dance...it was electric moment.
We will never see greatness like Little Richard ever again 😢
😔
You are correct.
Nope. Survived the slings and arrows without apologizing for who he was or what he was about. Hearts and flowers
Well this is the definition of organised chaos
I was there next to stage. It was UNBELIEVABLE.
"A woop-bop-a-loo-bop-a-loop-bam-boom".

Best rock singer of all time! Bar none.
The Harlem Blues & Jazz Band (with Eddie Durham) performs at The Waldorf Astoria for The very first Rock ’n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony inducting “Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers, Ray Charles, James Brown, Sam Cooke and Jerry Lee Lewis; Non-Performer category were Sun Records founder Sam Phillips and seminal DJ Alan Freed; Early Influence category were blues icon Robert Johnson, country's Jimmie Rogers, and boogie-woogie pianist Jimmy Yancey. Columbia Records' legendary A&R man John Hammond.
Eddie Durham recalled: “I played nine years [with Wynonie and Larry Darnell]. I booked us in Richmond, Norfolk, Newport, Georgia with three bands traveling. Little Richard’s five-piece band; my six-piece girl band, a shake-dancer named Sonya Millburn from Canada, Elaine who had the hit record, C.C. Williams and cuban Freddie Benito.
Little Richard was just recording then and he got hit right after that tour. But I had Little Richard’s band on one side, my band on another side and the girls in the middle, maybe 17 or 18 pieces altogether. We played the opening together. Little Richard would do the blues and we’d open up altogether with it…feature some guys in my band and some girls on the saxes and then onto somebody else and in the end, Little Richard would come out and sing and we’d close the curtain, then open it back up with the girls band, and they’d do a specialty." Good Golly Miss Molly, sure like to ball
Oooh, Good Golly Miss Molly, sure like to ball
When you're rockin' and a-rollin'
Can't hear your mama call
From the early, early mornin' till the early, early night
When you caught Miss Molly rockin'
At the House Of Blue Light
Good Golly Miss Molly, sure like to ball
When you're rockin' and a-rollin'
Can't hear your mama call
Mama, pappa told me
"Son, you better watch your step
If they knew pappa's, mama
I have to watch my pa myself"
Good Golly Miss Molly, sure like to ball
When you're rocking and a-rollin'
Can't hear your mama call, aaahhh
Good Golly Miss Molly, sure like to ball
Oooh, Good Golly Miss Molly, sure like to ball
When you're rocking and a-rollin'
Can't hear your mama call
I'm going to the corner
Gonna buy a diamond ring
Would you pardon me, kiss me
Make me ting-a-ling-a-ling
Good Golly Miss Molly, sure like to ball
When you're rocking and a-rollin'
Can't hear your mama call
Say what you will about the Americans, they sure know how to put on a great show.

Just a little correction. It was the Closing Ceremony.
Also, some extra performers for "Long Tall Sally": Paul Shaffer in the keyboards and Tito Puente with the tambourine.
Good spot! Thanks :)

I'm gonna tell Aunt Mary 'bout Uncle John
He claims he has the misery, but he has a lot of fun
Oh baby, yes, baby
Oh baby, havin' me some fun tonight, yeah
Well, long tall Sally, she's built for speed
She got everything that Uncle John need
Oh baby, yes, baby
Oh baby, havin' me some fun tonight, yeah
Well, I saw Uncle John with bald head Sally
He saw Aunt Mary comin' and he ducked back in the alley
Oh baby, yes, baby
Oh baby, havin' me some fun tonight, yeah
Well, long tall Sally, she's built for speed
She got everything that Uncle John needs

Can you do the Ode to Joy performance from the Opening Ceremony of the Nagano 1998?
Please Almudena Cid's ribbon 2000 (cirque du soleil music) or 2004 (geia, 7 days in Egypt and mafina) please❤
la légende a parler
This is the Closing Ceremony, not the Opening Ceremony
That makes sense -party time at the end - and who better than LR.
Was that Buckwheat Zydeco on accordion? And was his performance actually edited out as it seems? Ya ought not to have done that!
The segment was a medley of musical artists from the South, and Buckwheat Zydeco was next.
E' MORTO IL RE, W IL RE! (PECCATO NON AVERLO RICONOSCIUTO PRIMA)
Better than Paul McCartney 2012
I think YOU shouldn’t compere them.
@@noppadolsuriyajan5084 Why not?
