Newcastle learned form their 2nd half performance on the 2001 Grand Final.

Not really though. They were hugely outplayed in the second half in ‘01, but won because of their first half efforts

@@marcus86tigerParra already showed the signs of not being themselves (2001 Minor Premiership winning team) from their Preliminary final match against Brisbane, despite of having won that game 24-16.
So many handling errors, and letting the Broncos stay in the game till midway through the 2nd half.
That was terribly exposed in their 1st half performance of the Grand Final.
Of course, by the time they woke up in the 2nd half, it was too late.
