I like the contrast between the final bosses of both ZX games. In the first game, you first fight a dude in armor, who then turns into a giant mech. In the second game, you first fight a giant mech, THEN a dude in armor.
I love how reserved this is compared to Soul Ablaze. This isn't a triumphant "save the day, hero!" theme, this is his victory theme. He, from his perspective, has accomplished everything without fail (besides missing two Model Ws), so he might as well have won. He became a god, and he was his own undoing by his offspring or (kinda) clone. He lost for no real reason of his own, making him one of the most competent villains in the franchise.

@@Masterge77 all of Megaman ZX series is dedicated to bridging the gaps from X and Zero series to legends. Albert just so happens to be the one person who has Model W/ Uoroboros merged with him. Tomas saying the world needs to be reset will use Albert to create Megaman Juno.
@@barrybend7189 Well it does make sense, especially considering Albert DOES look an awful lot like Juno, but there is 8000 years or so between ZX and Legends, and A LOT can happen between the two series. Not only that, but Albert's decision to reset the world was his own idea because he saw it as imperfect, while Juno was simply following his programming because he determined that Kattelox Island was becoming overpopulated. They both have similar appearances and goals, but very different mentalities and approaches towards them... that and Albert was FAR more ambitious.

Legends takes place a couple thousands years later after ZXA, but yeah it's safe to assume his vision came true (although a lot can happen during this time period).

Look,a final boss theme doesn’t necessarily needs to be an epic theme.Divine Phantom fits in with Albert cuz of how menacing Albert has become after fusing in with the Model W(s). This theme makes you question “Can I really beat this guy” cuz of how powerful he has become
He almost reached his goal entirely, the only things that stopped him was his own family, his own hubris, and Ciel's Guardians bitchslapped the heck outta him to hell and back.
A lot of people say that the developers should have swapped the phase 1 and 2 songs for Albert, but I think this theme defines the entire situation perfectly: the world is at Weil's grasp once again, and you've found yourself fighting whatever this ultimate "Mega Man" is, if you can call Albert a Mega Man at this point in that horrific body. I also like how 1:30 sounds like Zero's theme from X5, and how 3:00 sounds like Elpizo's 1st phase from Zero 2.
***** this boss was a cakewalk. The real trouble for me was going from the boss rush room to the final boss room. I'd either get crushed by reforming blocks or get impaled by spikes.
While this song is a departure from the typical final boss fight music, I think it fits the battle perfectly, because this is different from a typical boss battle. First of all, the core megaman gameplay comes from trial + error and learning attack patterns. Every time you die, you get a little better at the game. This especially applies for boss fights. During your first encounter, you might suck and get hit by all the attacks, but you at least get to see all the attacks patterns before you die, so the next time might go like "Oh, he's charging up that attack, I should stand here to avoid it." Even if you do die, you get to retry the bossfight immediately, and even if you do gameover, getting back to the boss becomes easy since you've already learned all the patterns making your way to the fight in the first place. Meanwhile, to even reach Albert in the first place, you have to fight through a slough of bosses, instant death traps, and the phase 1 boss, all while keeping subtanks full. Any progress you make on the Albert fight is essentially lost, since there is such is so much stuff you need to get through between gameovers. The player doesn't improve, doesn't evolve with each attempt. Moreover, during the fight itself, there is little positive feedback for learning to happen. For example, at the beginning you can't damage him because of his shield. Unlike a miniboss where you know you can't see the bosses' health, with this battle you can see his health and you KNOW you're not dealing any damage. Many of his attacks come from left field and you can't react on the spot. The blue laser beams are designed in such a way to make you think we can dodge the attack by flying over it, you fail to dodge it in time, and you never figure out that you can shoot the beams. You get hit and hit, your life bar is dropping, and meanwhile he's still at full health. You're not making any progress. This lack of progress makes you insane, because you think you've gotten as far as you could, but you're still getting your ass kicked. The confusion we feel, the lack of progress, the helplessness, all are perfectly illustrated by the dissonance in the song.

Albert should have added the Pseudoroid's "special moves" in his arsenal, not just the Mega Men's powers. I've heard about his counter-skill for Chronoforce's skill, but I think it's a myth. Never seen him using it.
Albert's special move to counter attack the Time Bomb move It's not a myth. After destruying the first protection he has, either with Homing Shot of Model A or with other weapon that can reach him that up where he is, it's a good idea to use Time Bomb while he flinches and falls, since you can keep atacking him with the Rolling Slash and Triple Slash of the Model ZX. But after he recovers from the flinching, he executes the counter attack move to the Time Bomb, moving the pieces of the Model W like if it was a clock, cancelling the Time Bomb inmediatly after that. I saw him using that while playing on the Expert Mode though, so I'm not sure if he uses the counter attack move in the other difficulty levels...

The reason this fits Albert better then soul ablaze is because of the pacing. Soul Ablaze fits the faster battle with short attacks, while Divine Hammer fits the slower battle with attacks that all last a while.
To be honest, i think this theme fits much better. It's much more ominous than Soul Ablaze. Compare it to Xemnas' final theme in KH2. It too is much more intense and energetic in the earlier stages and much more calm and ominous in the final form.
Honestly I really like the IDEA of this boss and its theme, but tbh it really misses the mark. The fight itself was way to easy despite Albert’s ravings about becoming the “ultimate mega man.” The theme itself is supposed to be reserved and controlled to show that he hasnt lost himself and is in full control, but honestly the song just isnt that good. I feel like inti would have done well to at least make Albert’s attacks much flashier and to have the theme feel more like Albert is finishing what he once started, but instead we just have a less cool version of Omega from Zero three (Albert’s visual design is still superior tho :)
the first stage of this boss was harder lol. I would go model F and just stand right in front and spam both guns. Then for the 2nd stage, I would just jump sword Spin as model ZX and rape Albert so fast. I didnt even know he had so many attacks because I always killed him in like 20 seconds.
Sigma's all like "Deny it all you want, but you are and will always be a pathetic loser! Bring along with that little toy of yours to cyberhell! Bwa! Ha! Ha!"
Soul Ablaze while it's better and fits for the first phase of the battle (basically it goes well with Albert giving off the illusion of perfection and invulnerability), I'd say Divine Hammer fits Albert a lot more when he goes serious. (Divine hammer reflects well that he is no longer playing around but rather wants to destroy you while somehow strongly giving of vibes of his ideology)
I actually like how calm and reserved it is, in the end Albert didn't go insane or anything like most of the Megaman villains, Sigma, Weil, Elpizo, etc. This theme shows that he isn't acting out of insanity, he's acting because he saw an imperfection in the world and hes going to fix it.

For a song called “Divine Hammer”, this SUCKS I was genuinely taken aback by how OFF PUTTING this song was in the boss battle, I legit couldn’t take it seriously because of this music, they should’ve swapped Soul Ablaze’s and Divine Hammer’s placements
It isn't off putting. If you know the Mega Man timeline, the reset Albert and Thomas were talking about will happen (see Legends). It's a theme of impending doom and a dude who is actually winning in the end no matter what
maybe so, but divine hammer doesn't have the tension the battle seems to have. You're finally fighting Albert as well as model W head on, so why not a more intense song to go with it?
Soul Ablaze is the usual and stereotypical big bad song, which I find more boring. This one is more unique for being a lot more unnerving with huge leads towards insanity, while catchy to boot.

Well in tradition you'd think that having an intense sound like soul ablaze as the final theme until you realize that this theme fits the god form that is Albert rather than the dragon. In alberts eyes, he won. He completed ourborous, became the megaman king, becams a god, and all that stood in his way was his own creation. This is Albert's victory theme. Unfortunately for him, his undoing was his fault because of model A. That and this theme also has a "Albert wants you dead once and for all!" Kinda vibe instead of the "Save the world, Hero!"

The fight itself was way to easy despite Albert’s ravings about becoming the “ultimate mega man.” The theme itself is supposed to be reserved and controlled to show that he hasnt lost himself and is in full control, but honestly the song just isnt that good.
I feel like inti would have done well to at least make Albert’s attacks much flashier and to have the theme feel more like Albert is finishing what he once started, but instead we just have a less cool version of Omega from Zero three (Albert’s visual design is still superior tho :)

Ultimecia is way stronger, she is at least two tiers above him on a power scale. Albert is still strong though.
the first stage of this boss was harder lol. I would go model F and just stand right in front and spam both guns. Then for the 2nd stage, I would just jump sword Spin as model ZX and rape Albert so fast. I didnt even know he had so many attacks because I always killed him in like 20 seconds.
You know a boss fight is poorly designed, when you can cheese the fight with a move you get at the start of the game!

All of Albert's attacks are those of the other Megamen. He doesn't have an original bone in his body.

This theme fits more with the aspect of a final battle scenery.
Soul Ablaze while it's better and fits for the first phase of the battle (basically it goes well with Albert giving off the illusion of perfection and invulnerability),
I'd say Divine Hammer fits Albert a lot more when he goes serious. (Divine hammer reflects well that he is no longer playing around but rather wants to destroy you while somehow strongly giving of vibes of his ideology)
This is SHIT as a final battle. The battle giga mixture version fixed this.
I actually like how calm and reserved it is, in the end Albert didn't go insane or anything like most of the Megaman villains, Sigma, Weil, Elpizo, etc. This theme shows that he isn't acting out of insanity, he's acting because he saw an imperfection in the world and hes going to fix it.

I was genuinely taken aback by how OFF PUTTING this song was in the boss battle, I legit couldn’t take it seriously because of this music, they should’ve swapped Soul Ablaze’s and Divine Hammer’s placements

It isn't off putting. If you know the Mega Man timeline, the reset Albert and Thomas were talking about will happen (see Legends). It's a theme of impending doom and a dude who is actually winning in the end no matter what
maybe so, but divine hammer doesn't have the tension the battle seems to have. You're finally fighting Albert as well as model W head on, so why not a more intense song to go with it?

Soul Ablaze is the usual and stereotypical big bad song, which I find more boring. This one is more unique for being a lot more unnerving with huge leads towards insanity, while catchy to boot.

Well in tradition you'd think that having an intense sound like soul ablaze as the final theme until you realize that this theme fits the god form that is Albert rather than the dragon.
In alberts eyes, he won. He completed ourborous, became the megaman king, becams a god, and all that stood in his way was his own creation.
This is Albert's victory theme. Unfortunately for him, his undoing was his fault because of model A.
That and this theme also has a "Albert wants you dead once and for all!" Kinda vibe instead of the "Save the world, Hero!"
