Heavy Modular Frames in 1 Blueprint! - Guide in Satisfactory Update 7

  • This is a step by step tutorial by to an awesome Satisfactory blueprint design for a 1 heavy modular frame per minute factory - iron, coal, limestone in and heavy modular frames out, all in one blueprint!
    Update 7 in Satisfactory brought us blueprints and I have been working on new builds that simplify some of the more annoying things about building factories, especially working with manufacturers. The ultimate expression of the Satisfactory blueprint is squeezing a whole production into one blueprint - just like this heavy modular frames factory. It's a one click factory!
    This design in modular, you can string together as many as you want. Each additional heavy modular frame per minute takes only 6 clicks - 1 to put the blueprint down, 4 to hook up belts, 1 to hook up the power
    This is Satisfactory design will be awesome in a standalone heavy modular frame factory or as part of an adaptive control unit or fused modular frame factory.
    This tutorial will give you some Satisfactory tips on how to be organized and squeeze a lot of machines into a small area. I show you how I think about squeezing things into a blueprint.

    Just hold left-ctrl when you place conveyors it disable the auto snapping :) Also, you can just double clic your stack of power shards to place one automatically on the machine instead of dragging it like you do. Small detail but it's useful when you have to do it multiple times!

    Great video. I really like to watch you figure it out yourself while I try my best to the same but ultimately I end up with a far worse design 😂. Seriously though, great content. Would love to see you try to do some blueprint without power shards where possible (I got nothing against using them. Was just thinking for the challenge of it)

      @DrLootCrate  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks man! It is always nice to hear from people that like your stuff. That isn’t a bad idea on the no shard, but I think that would make a few of these impossible to do in one blueprint. Not to say they are useful other ones to do with no shards.

    I love these one-click factory concepts! Been working on one for motors that will stack as a vertical manifold so I can make skinny towers instead of long buildings. After fighting with blueprint floor holes for too long, I accepted that I'll need elevators on the outside, so it won't be as elegant as I'd like, but it'll be a start.
    One design change I've adopted is to bring in iron ingots instead of ore. It reduces the machine count and frees up some floor space, and I'll do a one click accessory smelter building or use refineries for the alternate recipe depending on where I need the factory.

    • @DrLootCrate
      @DrLootCrate  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a good idea for a motor tower and for bringing in ingots instead of ore. That would definitely free up some space.
      As you said, might be a good plan to have a smelter building blueprint and then a stack of other blueprints. Interesting!

      @@DrLootCrate Finally got the motor blueprint working last night. Testing and fixing blueprints is a painful process. I'm dreading having to update it when I unlock the next belt tier. The smelter building should be A LOT easier.

    • @DrLootCrate

      @@abmorse1 it really is, especially if you misbuild them in the wild and having to tear them down piece by piece.

    • @abmorse1
      @abmorse1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DrLootCrate Yeah, I get why they don't allow machines /belts to work within the blueprint machine, but that means you have to save the blueprint, build it somewhere nearby, connect some inputs to test it, fix each problem twice (once on the test bed, once in the blueprint machine), then tear it all down for each test run. (which I did twice because of mistakes before I finished up the exterior aesthetics)

    I think your design is pretty awesomesauce as a first attempt... Its a really dirty design, and yeah, it works :) I have 2 comments for you on your design... (1) I think the steel pipe rod is much more efficient in resources, though i'm not sure you can fit that into the size of the 4x4x4, haven't tried myself, and i will not.. i'm not trying to be critical, you're thought process is awesome, and how you show people how to work this out for themselves is totally +1, but i think HMF's are better as a modular design. of several 4x4 BP's. I'm currently working on a modular design for a steel facility similar to your thoughts, and think you should try with the steel rod recipe and (f-ing) screws instead of the mod frame recipe, its incredible more iron efficient.
    designs such as this are about being able to plunk down something like a concrete factory when needed w/o ceremony or thought, your oscillator design is such a thing as well *hug*, this one is a little too hacky, and i think you know that too. Good thoughts, keep em comiming, i hope to collab with you at some point :)

    Nowhere near optimized tho...you're gonna make ONE heavy frame per minute which means, when automated, it will take almost an hour to make ONE computer, when I can make about 50 computers by hand in that amount of time. I like your one click idea but I would love to see OPTIMIZED 1-click builds.
    Get rid of the walls and the "starter" manifolds. If you get rid of those, the modules will be much easier to implement. You're gonna have a bunch of walls blocking your access when trying to drop more than one of these at a time.
