Voice over bits are great, no woffle and better sound quality! :) I definitely recommend applying plusgas or similar in advance of brake line or rusty nut and bolt work... give yourself at least half a chance!

I’ve just been doing the exact same thing to my m3... fitting new brakes and I ran into the same issue with the pipe nut not coming undone! I found that a good set of mole grips and lots of heat worked a treat!!
Well worth cutting a little flap into the boot trim, and getting those BC extended adjuster leads for the rear dampers. Otherwise you'll be in the same boat if you wanna adjust them again!
Grab yourself a pair of knipex alligator adjustable grips, will break away those fittings no problem. Car looks proper on the square set up, good efforts.
I agree with you on the whole 'future classic' thing, I'd much rather enjoy a car with it improved than have it standard, even if you are losing a bit of money in the long run, the fun you get out more than makes up for it
You should be able to use the original drop link, you can usually adjust the droplink plate higher by spinning it around the shock body until it's at the desired height. Unless you're coilovers don't allow this adjustment?
Funny fact, I live about 3 miles away from the hel performance hq. My mate works there, chances are he made these very brake lines! Bloody good lines! I run them on a my cars! And My van! Haha
I’ve got an H n R set up on mine I’ve still got the Oem kit and to be honest I will change it back one day because as a daily it’s not as comfortable as I would like. Cosmetic it looks good it’s lower than a badgers tadger 🤙 and really handles well. But every pot hole bangs that hard my ancestors can feel it I’m sure.

Maybe this is really obvious but a spray bottle with some diesel in it is good for eating into stuck thread. Spray it, let it soak in then probably set fire to it when you still need to use a shiteload of heat to get the fucking thing off. Enjoying your vids of late

Man already looks so much better with the square setup at that height! I dont know much about brake hardlines but coming from bmw I am going to guess that it was like 30 pounds plus tax, which for me is quite expensive. Dealer prices are weird sometimes with bmw, sometimes you expect a part to be expensive when in the end its not that expensive, and sometimes you assume something will be cheap but it ends up costing an arm and a leg haha. For example I just ordered from the dealer every single part for the pcv system and intake system like gaskets, pipes, orings, tubes, everything for my e36(even bolts and clamps) and I paid 70€ when I was expecting like more than 200€, it was a 22 item order from bmw which was less than 100€, my mind was blown...
Love the m3 instalments Dan...having done the rear shocks on my e91 & 2 completely agree, removing and reinstalling the trim takes the most time ( no one ever shows you the way to remove the clips.....until you break one!). Square stance, nice subtle drop with soft progressive springs, spaced and 18’s 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼...just need the oem gloss black kidney grills to finish it off! 😉 Can’t wait for part 2! (This weekend will give you every opportunity with the shitty weather in store)
DannyDC2 it was tongue in cheek as i recall your disgust for replacements but......without the silly m-colours I think they’re a tasteful addition (gloss not Matt) and personally I think the standard chrome look is a big of a clanger for the front end. I haven’t suggested changing indicators 😁

I once removed a rear m3 spring on my drive with only one side jacked up and the ARB still connected. Fucker ended up on the next street.

It's not just to get them to fit, it's a good setting for the track too. 3 degrees is pretty normal in 'ring cars.

I find brake pipe spanners are pretty bad for flexing anyway. I use a crow's foot wrench on tight stuff.
