Those two reviews were way too close to simply be an accidental/subconscious reminder of a video the editor watched. It reads like a bad high school essay that “paraphrases” by changing one or two words per sentence. There’s no doubt in my mind that this was plagiarism and at the very least the writer should be suspended.
Right, it feels like they had it written by an intern who felt like he had to make the deadline no matter what. It's a high school attitude in a professional, public environment, which is a recipe for disaster.

and almost everyone ripped off IGN or Gamespot, that's how it works, it's a youtube video so who cares, they changed some things it's not like they copy the video and uploaded, they only said the same stuff.
It was clearly the exact script but with slight changes to inflection or wording. This kind of thing ruins the point of reviews, something IGN has been doing for the better part of a decade now. I'm interested in the reviewer's personal opinion from what they've played. If they're just going to copy a smaller reviewer, what's the point besides soulless money grabbing? Game writers need a lot more scrutiny because there's plenty of journalists absolutely killing it and they're overshadowed by large companies churning out 1st grade quality writing due to money over quality.

As far as the Antifa situation goes, what annoys me the most is how the far-left (this incident) and far-Right (Charlottesville) have always been out of their minds. What bothers me is that people who are more moderate on both sides can’t have conversations because the loud and boisterous extremes keep the moderates from being able to focus.
Lewis Wilkinson to be fair there's three groups out of the seven main political ideologues that usually find common ground. Conservatives Libertarians and classic liberals can usually find Common Ground although we may not necessarily agree on the methodology. The distinct issue Falls Within Republicans Democrats socialist and the alt right. These groups tend to align themselves and tend to be so much fucking louder. The reason I feel that these people are being louder is because Republicans are moving closer to the alt-right and Democrats are moving far more towards socialism and then you have 80% of America which falls into those other three groups including myself who are like what the fuck is happening. I 100% and not disagreeing with you I'm just saying we can narrow this down even more. And yes I am a constitutional conservative with libertarian social leanings.
Im not really sure Charlottesville can be compared to this event, because in Charlottesville it was a fight between alt-right protestors and antifa protesters. This event is anifa showing up and assaulting, as a mob, two people at a cafe.
That being said, both cases became violent when antifa showed up and startef attacking people - so I guess they are more similar than you think.
Moderation is also consistently scoffed at and confused with a lack of commitment by those radical fringe groups, rendering rational thought ineffective due to a social stigma imposed by irrational people. A vicious circle and a damn shame.

Best Name Steam reviews are something I would use when browsing steam after I find a game that looks cool. When I’m actually interested in a game, I watch reviews of it on TH-cam from channels I like
I tend to watch people playing the game on Twitch to see if I will like the game. I kinda ignore reviews since the reviewer might like different games and gameplay than I do.
Here's one of the best steam reviewers I've ever come across: steamcommunity.com/id/splifffi/recommended/. Guy puts some serious detail and depth into his reviews.
ING doesn't have passionate gamer's that have insight in games and mental criteria to review them. They just want money, so they copy the people that can produce good content.

I'd like to point out that this isn't the first time IGN have been caught plagiarising someone. About a year ago they copied Steven Suptic's vlog series. Everything from the way the recorded the episodes to the comedy even going as far as to ripoff Steven's friend Cib's online persona. IGN are no strangers to ripping off content for their own gain so I _highly_ doubt this was a mistake.

I have to continue to speak out about this. Betterhelp is a horrible, totally unaffordable service for many. I had a counselor tell me mental illness is a mindset. That’s the quality you receive. As for financial aid, if your financial situation changes you cannot change your financial aid information and thus will continue paying the price you once could afford. They also have their lowest price as 35 per week which is very hard to qualify for. I set my monthly income as 200 dollars and they still charged me $45 a week which, out of a month, is 180/200 dollars. Contacted support and they told me there was absolutely nothing they could do. Absolutely a scam. Phil I love your videos but this sponsorship really shouldn’t be advertised as an affordable service.

I have to agree with Dave Bautista on this one. It definitely was them giving in to this smear campaign, because as if a company like fucking DISNEY didn’t thoroughly vet every actor, director, and fricken lighting guy before they got hired. I just can’t imagine there being a reality where Disney didn’t see James Gunn’s controversial tweets BEFORE they hired him. Especially considering the fact that I’ve heard the films he’s made in the past before joining the Marvel universe weren’t exactly G Rated family flicks. Disney reacted to the outrage over the tweets, and not the content of the tweets themselves. So in this situation, I think the cast is pissed for good reason.
The cast is pissed because Disney is inevitably messing with their bread and butter - if a new director drops ticket sales for the title, the cast suffers. That's not to say that they are not taking a moral stand for Gunn, but since he is two for two with Guardians of the Galaxy, it is in their best interest to keep the directorial momentum going. Changing directors has had devastating results for other movie trilogies ( *cough* Star Wars *cough* ).
Unfortunately for the cast and potential Vol. 3, Disney probably can't back down from their decision without getting sued - for what, specifically, only Gunn's lawyers would know in such a hypothetical case.
And on a final note, while I think Bautista is a stand-up guy and plays a wonderful Drax, calling it a "smear campaign by fascist cybernazis" isn't helping. The Left started this war, and its personages are being held to their own standards. Is it petty? Yes, but it also could have been avoided if, for the last two or more years, the Left could have learned to chill out, accept their loss, and stop playing every trick in Saul Alinsky's book against their fellow American citizens with differing political opinions. [It is exceptionally hypocritical to thought-police celebrities from the Right, then act indignant and outraged when it happens to someone on the Left.]

My opinion on the whole Candace Owens-Charlie Kirk thing is this: people have a right to protest, but what happened was incredibly childish and bordered on physical violence. What's more, I'd like to point out another double standard: imagine if the situation were reversed and this were say, Rachel Maddow and David Hogg being confronted by white nationalists acting in the same manner. It would have been the top trending thing on U.S. twitter, it would have been covered by mass media all over, all of that crap. As a forest firefighter, and someone who has seen first hand the damages done to homes by forest fires.... I'll say this. If you are told to evacuate, you need to make a decision. If you have no time to prepare, and a home close to trees, and large amounts of forests, then leave ASAP. But if you live on a property with large fields or lawns of short grass, are fully able bodied, HAVE THE TIME TO PREPARE, and have access to continuous amounts of pressurized water sources... then I'd suggest staying and keeping everything absolutely 110% soaked with water. If you can soak literally everything and keep the sprinklers on, and burn out your perimeter, then you''l likely save your home from the most common cause of structure destruction: slow creeping grass fires. Soak the roof, soak the grass, soak the porch, soak everything. Use every sprinkler and hose you can possibly buy/find.
We've been told to stand down on property protection because our commanders have been given orders to protect other areas as management. However, if we didn't remove the sprinkler protection systems, those homes wouldn't have been burned to the ground. Even a garden hose is enough sometimes. It's all circumstantial. I know at least a dozen families personally who saved their homes from forest fires when they were told to evacuate. They said it was like watching a small line of campfire start to stretch across the lawn, and they practically drank beers all day as they sprayed everything down. Seeing a friend's snapchats of a bunch of fellow Canadians playing street hockey while a candling forest fire spreads around their neighborhood is a pretty damn funny thing to see.
I wish that IGN had plagiarized my Dead Cells video because the amount of publicity that Boomstick has gotten from this and amazing support from the gaming community is incredible. IGN hasn't really had a great image for some time now, but this is going to turn a lot of people against them. I mean, you can't expect editors to know if a review was plagiarized, but you have to wonder how the reviewer imagined this scenario would go... like if he picked a small enough channel that they somehow wouldn't notice it on one of the most visited review platforms out there?
The best part was that the reviewer clearly didn't even play much of the game because he stated that certain doors would *unlock* in the game if you waited long enough, which is the complete opposite scenario. They actually lock after a certain elapsed time. I assume he just misheard and paraphrased it, even though it doesn't even make sense in the context.
Abbreviated Reviews video gaming overall is a real shit show atm. I think Donkey put it best in his Video. You watch a game review by someone you understand, because based on their preferences and their review you can conclude if the game is interesting for you. But big sites like IGN have like 20 authors so you never know what the gaming background of this reviewer is.
Scandals like this are just more bad press for an important part of gaming history, that is slowly losing the trust of the people...
On the forest clearing point: Foresters have to deal with decades of forest health malpractice via fire suppression, and in one of the country's largest states with an ever shrinking and restricted budget. To be able to properly combat the overcrowding of trees with your intense ground litter, ladder fuels, and overcrowded canopies would take more time to get through than it took to suppress fires and get these younger trees to grow. Not to mention the terrain is very difficult, if not impossible in places to cross and log the trees. There is no budget that would allow the appropriate and timely completion of thinning these forests, as the government budget approvals push the budget elsewhere (which I'm not saying is bad), and the people in good positions in the Forest Service (and other departments) do not want to vacate their positions for the newer generations. So you have overcrowding due to malpractice in forest management, lack of funding, and lack of younger manpower.
Next you have public opinion. Now although some have been clamoring for action for the removal of dead timber (which also needs to be done to live trees appropriate to tree species population dynamics) for the most part the public is still unsure or unfavorable towards forest thinning. There's a misconception that any sort of mechanical interference into nature is negative, even when informed of the vast benefits these practices have on a forest's ecosystem. People overall see the machinery and cutting down of the trees as a negative impact on the environment, and that puts a damper on progress. You get those few people who believe it's wrong to do such and they impede any progress, despite decades of evidence that this is the proper approach.
In conclusion, yes we need to thin the forests, BUT there are some roadblocks that honestly in reality are near impossible to overcome in a short time span. Slowly we will get where we need to, but in the mean time states all over the west will suffer from intense forest fires.

Why isnt there preventitive burns regularly, it burns away all these problems without having to physically cut down the trees? That is the main method of australian regulation of fire vulnerability and we have been having huge droughts due to el nino or whatever the weather thing is called, it became a major issue when most of a state burned down a couple years back, called black saturday as i remember

In the US, a large part is due to the protected status of many of these forests as either private property or National Forests or Parks, which makes any kind of intervention difficult politically and bureaucratically.
In Australia, we do controlled burns every year before the fire season to help prevent fires. Burning off helps keeps fires down by burning off surface fuel and some of our plants here rely on fires for their life cycles. It's interesting to hear about somewhere that seems to be heavily suffering from fires just seemingly not doing anything to try to prevent said fires when preventing fires is an everyday thing here.

I was just waiting to see a comment like this. It’s hard to believe other places don’t do back burning/controlled burns. It’s not like California doesn’t have a similar climate/reputation for wildfires compared to us.
Additionally, it’s not even a new concept, it’s a practice that has been happening for tens if not hundreds of thousands of years here. Aboriginal groups have been using control burning techniques for millenia to take care of the land. Likewise with Native American groups; they also used control burning to save the the land from destructive wildfires.
All in all, I hope the fires are put out soon, and that everyone will be alright. And that the Californian gov’t will fervently implement more fire preventative strategies in the future.

On the fire, here in Western Australia we have something called a burn off where we go out with prescribed controlled fires that burn the leaf litter and help many of the native plants that use fire to germinate. We do this around the places where we’ve had fires before and around the suburbs surrounding Perth.

Thought with those caught up in the California fires, as someone from SE Australia I know what its like - its generally accepted that between us we share the worst fire conditions on the planet. I was surprised to see that the Mendocino compex was 'only' 290,000 acres, the largest wild fire (or bushfire as we call them) in Australia was the 2003 Eastern Victorian alpine bushfire which was a complex of 83 fires started by lighting that combined and burnt 3,200,000 acres over 53 days.
Oh and I hope our team of 300 we sent over recently are of great assistance the team work we see between both Californian firefighters and experts coming here in our summer and some of our guys heading over in yours needs more recognition.
Given the fires in US and (i think) Italy, I had wondered how things compared to australia in terms of clearing, back burning, funding etc. Or whether conditions are somehow fundamentally different. Because I would have assumed that australian fires were waaaaay bigger and would often have worse conditions. The only solution that makes sense to me is extreme preparedness.
